(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

I hope this finds you well. I am writing to politely request that you ease up on Ginevra. She is not like her brothers. She is a gentle soul.

Sincerely, Molly Weasley

Mrs. Weasley, do not tell me how to treat my students. If they are awful in class, then I will reprimand them until they understand the subject. Do not write back.

Sincerely, Professor Septima Vector

I did not mean to offend. However, your letter offended my sensibilities. I meant well. It does not seem like you did.

Sincerely, Molly Weasley

It began with letters, then meet ups at her children’s quidditch games. The animosity she felt towards Septima was something new to her. Similar to Arthur’s dislike of Lucius Malfoy. The exchange of letters spiraled to where she gained a friend and then Molly impulsively kissed Septima.

She knew she was attracted to women from a young age, but she suppressed that wrongness and married Arthur. Molly was much older now, with children and a husband. She couldn’t have these feelings for a woman, so she stopped responding to Septima’s letters and stopped talking to her.
