Sanji felt his veins turn ice cold.

“You’re probably not going to believe what I’m going to tell you.”“Try us,” Sanji said, raising an eyebrow. “We’ve seen our share of strange things, this is the Grand Line, after all.”

Royal blood, huh.He knew where to get one of those.
His most well kept secret, the one thing he swore he would take to the grave, the name he renounced, the accident of birth he thought he got rid of.
Vinsmoke, The Royal Kingdom of Germa.
A bloodline cursed with pain, a bloodline filled to the brim with cruelty.
A bloodline that now could give this boy’s most treasured person back.
Was it worth it?
To keep his secret.
He didn’t know these people, at all, he sure as hell didn’t owe them anything.
They could leave as soon as the log pose sets, and they would have been none the wiser.
Was it worth it? To reveal what he had kept so intimately hidden.
To let his crewmates know the part of his past he much rather forget?
His mind was going through a million questions at a time, thoughts clashing with each other, his chest a swirl of emotion.
If there was a chance, no matter how impossible it sounded, to get your mom back, would you take it?
Sanji tried to will his mind to shut up, to not avail.
Wouldn’t you give everything to see her again, one more time?
Sanji lowered his gaze, to the boy’s sobbing in his arms.
And he knew his heart was already set.
Won’t you give this boy the change to get what you will never obtain?
He closed his eyes and willed his breath to calm down.
“Vin,” he said. “Everything is going to be alright, I promise.”

By morning, this kid will have his mother back, he swore, right at that moment.What he failed to notice, while he was deep in thought, was the two pairs of eyes that observed him all along.

Pour a drop on it, that’s all it takes.He took the small pocket knife he had in the Sunny, rolling back the sleeve of his shirt.
His hands, as steady as they usually are, were now trembling, the more he approached the knife to his wrist.
Who will take the burden, for a meagle town.
It was just a little cut, enough to draw a drop of blood, he could do this, he could do this, he could…
“What the hell are you doing?!”
He startled, turning quickly in the direction of the voice, panic rising in his chest as soon as his eyes focused.
“What the fuck are the both of you doing here?!”
There, in front of him, Luffy and Zoro stood, the mosshead looked pissed while his captain spotted a serious look on his face, something very rare on him.
“I-” How could he even begin to explain?
“Sanji.” Luffy started and he stiffened. “Why did you come here?” And Sanji wasn’t dumb alright, he could hear the slight tint of fear on Luffy’s voice and the mosshead worry behind that pissed glare.
And he knew he couldn’t lie his way out of this one. Not this time.
“I can help them,” he confessed. “I can help this town, I can break the curse.”
“How can you even do that?” Zoro scoffed. “Didn’t you hear that man back there? It says you need-”
“Royal blood.” Sanji finished for him, his throat felt like he swallowed a thousand bricks.
He kept eye contact with Zoro, willing him to understand, when the mosshead did though, his jaw fell open.
“You…you are-”
“A prince.” Sanji bit out, revealing his biggest secret, just like that. “A disgraced one at that, but a prince in the end.”
In any other situation, Sanji would have made fun of Zoro, the swordsman was at a loss for words.
“I can help them.” He repeated, now turning his head to look at his captain. “Please, let me help them.” He practically begged.
Luffy took a step forward, until he was in front of him, his face still with the same serious look.
“Sanji,” Luffy was looking at him straight in the eyes. “Are you sure?”
He didn’t think twice about his answer. “I’m sure, Captain, If there’s a chance I can give that little boy his mother back, please, I need to try.”
Silence descended in the room, Zoro finally seemed to have gotten over his initial shock, and was now standing with his arms crossed, his eye pinned on both of them, waiting.
Sanji was getting anxious and he was ready to talk again, but was interrupted by Luffy finally, finally, smiling, as small as it was and nodding his head.
“Well, of course you do,” he said in a very soft voice. “That’s how you are.”

Los Mugiwara llegan a una isla donde hay una maldición donde la gente duerme y si no hay sacrificio por parte de la sangre real, jamás despertarán de su letargo.
Sanji escucha la historia d eun hombre y su hijo de como su esposa a dormido por largos 5 años, Sanji se siente mal por el pequeño y decide tomar la decisión de hacer un sacrificio, antes de hacerlo Luffy y Zoro lo detienen, pero el está dispuesto.
Gracias a él, todos despiertan y la bruja buena agradece por vencer a su hermana malvada.
