Work Text:
Aloy loves her found family, loves that the base is considered a home for many. Loves that when she steps out of her room there are people around who want to see her, who like her and whom she can talk with.
Except, except on moments like this, when she and Seyka have been discovering each other, again, and they lose track of time. Aloy has wrapped a blanket around her shoulders and braces herself to step from the soft rug onto the cold floor.
Seyka is laying in bed, naked, her hair loose on her shoulders, their focuses in a locked box on the desk, here they are truly alone.
“You could just get dressed.”
Aloy turns around and opens up the blanket, giving Seyka a full view of her naked body. Seyka looks and takes it all in, she can see she is swallowing.
“Do you want me to get dressed?”
“No, No, I do not.”
“Thought so.”
And with a wink, Aloy turns around and wraps the blanket around her shoulders again. She steps onto the cold floor and feels a shiver go through her body.
Her chamber doors slide open and when she peeks around the corner, she can see the main area is completely empty. Beta and Zo are nowhere to be found, and it seems like Erend is off doing Oseram things. It means Aloy has free rein to raid the food cabinets Zo has prepared.
She starts loading some cold dishes in her arms, Aloy is not sure how long they have not eaten, but her stomach has been grumbling for a good hour before she finally found the courage and need to get out of the warm bed she and Seyka had made.
As she turns around to try and find something to drink, she can hear a door slide open and a cold gust blowing in. Automatically she reaches for her focus, forgetting she is not wearing it, and with no time left all Aloy can do is stand still and hope no one notices she is there.
Since there is no tall red grass to hide in, Aloy does get noticed, it is Kotallo who walks in from outside, the snow still on his armor.
“Commander, good to see you.”
Aloy does not know what to say, so opts for silence. Kotallo raises an eyebrow at her state, and she can see a grin appear on his face. She knows him well enough to realize he absolutely knows what is going on. He reaches in the pack across his shoulder and rummages, clearly looking for something.
He finds it and with a big smile hands it to her. Aloy has to maneuver the food around to make sure the blanket will not fall at her feet.
“What is it?”
“A drink, to keep you energized. Our warriors drink it before battle, and our lovers drink it before a whole different fight.”
He has the gall to wink and turns around.
“Enjoy yourself commander.”
Aloy turns red in the face, and scurries into her room. As the door closes behind her, she is met with an amused Seyka in her bed.
“What was that about?”
“Not a word.”
