A Fight With Sonic Was less than fun for Metal With His sensitive Pain Sensors being hit and A Deep Knowledge That he Would just lose Again.

Well more like a deep intuition about how he would lose...

 Metal fell to the ground and stared at Sonic Upset. Sonic's Snugness Pissed Metal Off But He knew that Sonic Didn't Understand Truly What Metal faced when The Robot clone lost Against Sonic. And The Worst Part Was Metal Couldn't blame the hedgehog Anymore.

Metal Felt Cold As Eggman Grabbed Metal Sonic By the arm Yelling at the Robot Who felt Fear.

Metal Heard Loud Static in his head Start As He "Spaced off" And Went On Autopilot Robotically Letting his Code Take Over With Him Just Staring at Eggman Afraid once again.

Metal Barely Processed Being Dragged To The Hidden Base Because he was too scared to think or process anything rationally.

Metal Came out of his internal Trance and Knew what was happening Once again And was Shaking Softly as Eggman Brought him to THAT room again.

...

 Then Metal Felt dread...

So Metal Protested With Consistent Beeping and Started Pushing against Eggman's hold on his hand but that was Well... Until Eggman Pressed a button After which Metal's Back Opened up a Small Slot And Showed a Handle Which Eggman Grabbed And lifted Metal Off the ground Leaving Metal immobile.

Metal crossed His arms and stared daggers at Eggman As he Was Dragged Into the familiar dark Room Before Beeping Sadly and showing a Sad Expression in his Optics Hoping to guilt Eggman Even Though he knew it Likely Wouldn't work Anyways It Hasn't been the First time Metal was put in here Like A Dog that Just Attacked Someone and Had to be restrained.

Eggman just Sighed before Rolling his Eyes at the Robot And chaining Metal Up Then Pressing the Button Closing The slot and Hiding the handle...

A Message Popped up Onto Eggman's Goggles that Told him To Allow Metal Sonic To Speak to Him Though his Goggles soon He accepted the Request As He Heard His Machine Speak.

"I'M SORRY PLEASE DON'T LOCK ME UP AGAIN"Metal Sonic Said Panicking Sadly As Eggman Laughed 

"Then stop Losing You useless badnik"Eggman said Coldly Staring into Metal's Optics.

A Heavy Silence Came After... Before metal spoke again...

"I Hate you...And just What did i Do this time?! You always find a Excuse to... do this to me.I FUCKING HATE YOU!"Metal Sonic said With Venom In his Tone As Eggman Looked at Him

As Metal Stared Defiantly at Eggman Before Thrashing in his Restraints As Eggman Made Them Look at him.

"AND You Dare To Speak To me like that When I allow you To talk to me YOU Little Ungrateful pile Of Shit!"Eggman said His Anger apparent Before Metal Realized What he Had Said in Horror knowing what would happen next As Eggman Then Hit the Robot Harshly Screaming At him.

"You're useless So Damn Useless to the point you Can't do Anything Right. you're no Better Than that Stupid Hedgehog I Could've Scrapped you The Moment after you Rebelled But i didn't And you're just Lucky i Find Some use in you"Eggman Said As Metal Sonic Felt like Screaming.

but Metal Had Beeped Loudly in Protest Before talking.

"Just Get Away From Me!"Metal said glaring into Eggman Angrily.

But it had only Made Eggman Grin...

Before Hitting The Robot Again With the Anger He felt As Metal Beeped in Pain And Stopped Thrashing slowly.

"Useless Fucking Badnik...I should Destroy you. or maybe use you For something else. you don't even Function Properly you're that Broken. You Didn't even stand a chance against him did you?"Eggman Said As Metal Felt A Gasp Of Pain Come Out of him

but then Metal Felt Himself Look to the ground in Shame Of Failure yet Again with that horrible reminder and Beeped in Sadness.

"You're just a useless Machine aren't you, I bet you'd Be Better As My Servant Wouldn't you. You Rebellious brat"Eggman said Angrily...

"I'm Sorry i-i..."Metal Sonic said as He Sobbed

Metal Flinched as Eggman Screamed at him and He Looked at His Master With Fear and pure Horror...

"Huh not so mighty anymore You Useless Rebel"Eggman said angrily 

"I-i...I don't know"Metal Sonic said 

Before Eggman Hit the Robots Face again Causing a Panicked beep and Horrified Stare From The Pain the robot had just Felt...

"I-I'M SORRY P-LEASE-"Metal Sonic said A Small Sob Coming From him

"Then Stop being a useless robot and do something Useful for once"Eggman said Before Breathing in.

"Or you might start being as incompetent as That rat"Eggman Said as Metal Sonic stared shaking Without Saying Anything After...

Eggman Then Grabbed A Bat And Started Hitting Metal Sonic Who Felt the Pain of Every impact against his shell.

"You're So Fucking Useless"Eggman said As He Smashed the Bat into Metal Sonic's Metallic shell as Eggman Hit it Against him Causing Severe pain for Metal Sonic As he Beeped again.

"S-Stop"Metal Sonic said As The Sobbing Grew Louder than Before 

Eggman Then gave A Look at the Robots face and Smiled Evilly seeing the Terror in Metal's face Before stopping.

"That's all... Work harder Next time or else the punishment won't be as forgiving next time..."Eggman said Before Leaving Metal Alone in The dark room.

And after Metal Just Stared At the Wall shaking and sobbing.

To be Honest Metal Sonic Was Tired Of Working For Eggman...

He Was always Blamed and Punished For Eggman's issues and His Failures Despite Eggman being the One Who Had created him...

And It Had been a Few Hours And Now it was nighttime From What his internal clock said And A Long Buzzing Rang in Metal's Mind While Listening to The Radio to find Information for Something to guide Him On What He Should Do.

But All he only heard static on the radio.

 Soon Metal Had Gotten Sick of the Radio's Static and turned it Off Before Staring Blankly at the Ceiling once again and thinking about Everything...

Why didn't He just Rebel Or escape? It wasn't Like he hadn't Done it before But Metal knew he was Afraid Of his Master.

Why Was He Afraid? Metal just Felt Conflicted. His Mind Searched The Internet For Something But He didn't know Where to Look.

He Was Lost...

And All He Could Think about Was Freedom.

Well "Freedom" To The ones Who Had Been actually blessed with it. But he Could never Admit that he a machine was A just Bit jealous in general of Sonic.

Metal's Entire Existence Had Been Made to solely beat his Loathsome Copy Sonic But he Never Could...

Even If Metal Had Sonic's Biodata or When He disguised himself as Eggman-

Disguise Himself?

It Was as if a light Bulb Turned on In his head Because Metal Melted Himself into the ground With his nanites And Reformed Back Into His Robotic Self Outside The Chains.

Metal could disguise himself...

Metal Looked around the Dark room and Found an Old Small Mirror Which he Stared at it before thinking a bit then slowly transforming Into his disguise.

He Slowly Became Silver and Then fully transformed into the new disguise.

He Had Dull Blue Fur And white Skin on His muzzle,ears, Arms, and Stomach With Reddish-pink eyes With White Optics and Two piercings On His Left Ear black Cape Black shoes and gloves, And Messy Hair And messy Bangs.

The Disguise was Genius And Metal Found himself a bit Fooled at first Looking at the Disguise before thinking of what animal he should Pretend to be.

A Cat.

That would be Good enough...

Metal started thinking of a name

Ummm...

After A Bit of Brainstorming And Looking at Bad Names He Finally Came Up with a good name After Messing With his Own Name.

Mel.

that was a good name Metal liked it.

Err... Mel Liked it

He needed to get used to that name...

But Soon He Opened The Window to the Side Slowly With His Own Hands as Metal Sneaked out of Eggman's Base Before Marking it Internally And Leaving.

Air Blew Against His Chell As He Walked and Hugged Himself. He Could See Static Form On the Sides of his Vision As The Darkness Overcame Him.

Apparently it was Night Time Right now.

Although surprisingly the Night Was surprisingly Easy to Navigate through despite the slight static in his vision.As he Soon Found himself in A Quiet Town On the Side of the Hill While Looking For the resistance.

So to start off with He searched For information about Sonic's Friends and Found an estimate of Where They would be and learned More about The resistance.

Metal Had no Idea what That meant yet Fully But Continued on the Trail he had been On Slowly Looking for a Hint of the so-called Resistance Sonic's Friends were at.

That was well until He Bumped into Someone He hadn't expected to As A Surprised Yelp that had Came From a hedgehog Who fell on the ground.

His Vision glitched as He also Had fell to the ground in surprise.

Metal Soon Felt Guilty as He Went to hold His Hand out for the mysterious Woman he Couldn't Recognize in the dark.

As a Loud Scream Came from the girl Seeing the Figure in the Dark with crimson eyes. Metal Flinched Back As The girl Summoned A hammer and pointed it at Metal.

"WHO OR WHAT ARE YOU!"The Pink hedgehog Said Panicking Quickly 

"...Ahah What?!"Mel said Confused Sweating As he Felt nervous.

Amy Then Turned on Her Flashlight with her Other Hand And Pointed at Mel

"wait Why are you here?!"Amy said Seeing Mel's face

"I-i was looking For the resistance..."Metal said Softly before feeling shame.

Before he readjusting his vision to See Amy. Oh, so that's who he bumped into...

Fuck

Amy Gave a distrustful look before slightly calming down

"Well I've never seen you Around before who Even Are you?"Amy said still suspicious

Metal was Quiet Before He answered.

"I-I'm... Mel"Metal Finally Said hesitantly Remembering His "Name".

"And I'm guessing You know that the Resistance is closed at night?"Amy said

Metal felt Embarrassed at the fact they had assumed it was Open All the Time but Talked

"Uhh- No?"Mel said Awkwardly

"Wait seriously!?"Amy said worrying about the Cat.

"Not Really?..."Mel said Confused But sounding sad Despite not meaning to.

Amy Started to Feel guilty As She just Realized she Attacked somebody Who had Been Looking for the resistance

"Okay... So you Were just Lost and looking For the resistance Of which you Are Having Trouble With Finding in the Dark?"Amy said As Mel Nodded 

"But uh... Why are You outside?"Mel Said As Amy Frowned

"The Power Went Out Within the Town Today and i Was Going to Go Check if My Generator still works And try it"Amy says As Mel Frowns.

"oh..."Mel says Quietly as He looks at amy.

"Also do You Know your way Back to where You We're i mean it is Pitch Black out... It seems dangerous to just be Wondering Around aimlessly"Amy said As Metal Sonic Felt His Mind Frantically Come up with an Excuse.

"i-i Got Lost"Mel said Trying his Best to not give Away The lie he said.

"Okay Well... How about You... Stay At my home for the night And Tomorrow i help You find the resistance Since You don't know you're way back"Amy said 

Mel Felt himself Tremble slightly as He Grimaced Realizing that her Offer Was a Terrible idea But what could he even Say that thst

'wait- WHAT DO I EVEN SAY TO THAT?!-'Metal Thought Grimacing internally

'Damnit Just say something-!'Metal thought Before speaking 

"Uhh- I'll be fine I can Just Wait out the night i can just Rent A-"Mel said

"-WAIT WHAT?! No? I am Absolutely Not letting you Walk Around the streets At night especially without Any Light You just said you're Going to the Resistance And I Literally just attacked You it's the least i could do!"Amy said Frowning upset As she talked.

(Note to self:Damn She's Stubborn)

"Aw That's Sweet... But No Thank You I can find a place by myself for the night I'll be fine I-i-"Mel Then Saw the upset look on Amy's Face and Went quiet Not knowing what to say.

"Okay Fine -Sure-WHATEVER!"Mel said sheepishly as Amy Sighed relieved 

Amy Then Grabbed His Hand And Led them To her house.

"Ok Good Now You can use the couch And I'll get a blanket from My Closet Real quick" Amy said Before Running Upstairs To catch a blanket.

And Now Metal Sonic Just Felt overwhelmed Overall... Why Would she Just Offer Help to a stranger... It Puts her in Danger From his Calculations Even When she can Summon A Deadly Hammer From plain air.

Oh. OH.

The Deadly Hammer lady Is Nice.

But then Mel Just Started Thinking Of Why She was being so nice To Them despite the distrust (with Him Being Practically a stranger) But Then realized that it was Amy And Metal Knew Amy would Help anyone In need...

A Flashback Came to Metal at that moment.

It Was Winter and Metal Laid upside down in the snow Almost Completely Frozen and Still.

And He Felt Sad and Useless to his Creator And thought Slowly Breaking Down Would be a good Fate for him since he Felt Completely Useless at that moment.

he continued to self-loath Until He Felt Something hit His Shell Which irritated Metal Sonic With the Sudden Sensation Despite Wanting to Be alone to suffer.

Metal Wanted to bark at the Thing Or Creature that Had Done it So he Turned his Head despite not wanting to And Beeped annoyingly Before Realizing that Amy Who Was Eggman's Enemy Was In front of him.

His Internal Programming Screamed Inside of Him That He Should Run Away... Even though he Couldn't it's not like he would anyway because he didn't have a reason or desire to exist at all.

If "it" didn't exist then "it" Wouldn't be a burden on Eggman and This Was Proven to the Robot as true After Eggman did Something Like Kicking His Creation and Walking away from "it" Maybe Thinking this Might Somehow help the crisis the robot was already having at that moment...

Amy Yelled Panicking Before Hitting Her Hammer on Metal Repeatedly Who didn't fight back against Her.

Soon Amy Just slowed and stared at the robot Confused 

"Why aren't you attacking" Amy said before Staring at Metal Sonic.

the quietness of the robot put her on Edge before she thought of another thing

"Wait Why are you here alone in the Snow?"Amy said to Metal Sonic Who She Helped stand up Before a bird flew out and hit the robots Head and flew away Before Metal's Body Gave in and fell into the snow again And Hoping Amy Would Leave Him for dead.

" Where's your... Dad... Wait is that how it works with you and Eggman Like are you his Robotic Son or- Nevermind that!"Amy said not Wanting to think about Metal's Parental issues With Eggman But Felt pity For Them.

"Let's get you Fixed up okay I Can't just leave you Here Alone Especially during Winter Time!" Amy said before Grabbing one of the Robot's Legs And dragging Metal Across the Ground

Time Felt Slow and The Pink Hedgehog Continued Dragging the Very depressing State of Metal Sonic.

Metal's Joints Felt Weak and Soon Amy was also Weak.

"Hey I need a break I think I'm gonna start a campfire real quick..."Amy said

After a Couple of Minutes Amy Figured out How To get a Functional Campfire Working Before Grabbing Something from her backpack.

A Blanket was Put On Metal Before Amy Got into the Blanket and Fell asleep...

Metal More Known as "Mel" at the moment Would Snap out of the Memory as Amy Brought the Blanket and Mel Picked the Blanket out of her Hands.

"Thank you, "Mel said Softly

"You're welcome Have a good night Also... I won't Hesitate To Hit You With My Hammer if you Try To attack Me while I'm sleep"Amy said Tired And Slightly paranoid As She Walked Upstairs Mel Stared at the wall Before going into Stand by... Falling "Asleep".

In the winter A Young girl Had Continued Dragging Metal Sonic Across the Snow...

"You Know Maybe I should Give Your Old Man A Piece of advice after this..."Amy Said grunting angrily

It Had Been a Long day of dragging Metal Who Was Broken after the Break They had The Day Before

"I guess i Sometimes don't understand why you Work for him"Amy said Before sighing

"But I can't leave you in the Snow it would be unfair for you..."Amy Said As She saw A Outline of a Base

"Oh We're here already!" Amy said before looking at Metal Who stared at her Silently.

As they Finally got to the base Amy Lifted Metal off the Ground and Stood Them up And Grabbed a Fancy Bow And put it on Metal Sonic's forehead As Amy talked "Here I need to get one more Thing..."

Amy Grabbed a Flower and Put it into Metal's hands As She Talked "Have a Good Christmas Metal!"Amy said smiling one last time before Ringing the bell and Running and Hiding As Metal Felt shocked at her actions...As The Door Opened in Front of Metal Which Showed His Master As He Stared Down at the Robot...

Mel Went Out of Stand By As He Saw Amy With Coffee.

Then He Was Glad When He First Noticed that The status was now gone Since it had Been Overall Annoying to deal with.

"OH- Sorry about waking you up!"Amy Said Before Looking nervous 

"I'm Going to the Resistance Now So You should Join Me So i can Show You Were it is Since You know you couldn't find it yesterday..."Amy said Looking at Mel

Mel Felt Interested As He nodded his Head Agreeing...

When They Went outside The Lively Streets had Surprised Mel as he Walked with Amy to the resistance.

There were a lot of people talking to each other and buildings with different styles.

It was all So new to him and Unfamiliar.

"Oh We're Here," Amy said as A large Building slowly appeared in his view

The building was pretty Nice Looking as Mel and Amy approached And Opened the Door.

Soon Amy looked at Mel As she talked

"We're here"Amy said As Mel nodded 

"Hey Aren't you New here?"Amy said As Mel Nodded again Before her eyes Brightened

"OH well then Let's Take a Seat so we Can talk about what you want to do Here Mel"Amy said As She sat Down at a Table with Mel.

"So Do you want to join Or just Know More about the Resistance?"Amy said

"I Just want to join to Help out" Mel said

"Okay you can do that If that's what you want"Amy said As She Frowned.

"Well Yeah-Of Course it's what i want!"Mel said Before Crossing His Arms Scowling.

Amy Gave A Sigh Before talking with a slight smile 

"...Welcome To the Resistance I'll Show you Around the place so you can Get Familiar with it"Amy said still slightly On edge after yesterday but not as nervous and Frantic.

"That would Be nice thank you"Mel Said Trying to Give A genuine smile...

Amy Walked Mel Around Showing The New Recruitment Around The Resistance As Tangle Noticed The New Member And Ran Up Gasping Happily.

"Oh My GOD is this a new Recruitment you look so Pretty!"Tangle said Loudly With Happiness Making Mel flinch from surprise and Awkwardly Staring at Tangle Before Mel Frowned Upset.

"Oh Also What's your Name!"Tangle said Smiling Brightly.

"I'm...uh... Mel"Mel said Remembering his Name.

"OH Nice To meet you Mel!"Tangle said practically jumping in place.

"Tangle Please don't Surprise The New Member Like that" Amy said before Sighing and Crossing her Arms

"Ok... Mr Bossy"Tangle said Before Running Off Laughing manically.

"I... Okay What were We Talking about again?"Amy said Before Smiling tiredly

"...You We're just Showing me around I Guess"Mel Shrugging Softly 

"After That Interaction I definitely need that..."Amy said Tiredly Before looking at Mel.

Amy Continued Showing Mel around Before More Members saw them Both. 

Blaze Noticed them And Waved At Amy As She Was Sparring With Silver before noticing Mel.

Amy Walked to Blaze who Smiled at her And talked to Amy And Mel.

"OH! Hello Amy Who's the New Member?"Blaze Said As She Attacked Silver With Fire smiling Which he Dodged

 while She spoke

"Oh Right He's, Mel"Amy Started to Say Before Realizing She didn't know What Type of animal They Were...

"They Mel...What Mobian Species are-"Amy started saying sheepishly as Mel interrupted 

"I'm a Cat"Mel said Softly As Blaze hummed Softly

Before Blaze smiled Before asking "Oh Also How Are you doing Amy?"

"I'm good but I should still Show the new Resistance Member around..."Amy said 

"Oh of course Have a good Day Ames!"Blaze said Happily.

"...yeah Okay"Mel said Quietly.

as Mel stood there For a moment awkwardly Before Turning to look at Silver who was staring at him Almost Like He Wanted to say something... Before looking away and Frowning For some reason...

Mel Then Focused On The Fact Amy Started walking and Then Quickly Followed Her Until they Were out of the Room.

Amy Explained A Couple Things And They Walked to the storage Rooms As Surge Came And Annoyed them Both

"Oh No More Copycats When will It Stop~" Surge Said after Amy's Explanation On him being a new Recruit.

"I'm Literally a Cat-"Mel said Before looking at Amy Who looked like she was about to go on a rampage From Her Held back Anger.

And Mel Just Grimaced Knowing More than Anyone what she was like when pissed off.

"And you're Short so..."Surge said Of Which Mel Gave a angry Glare.

But Metal Held Every Instinct in His Coding he Had To Just Punch and Swipe Her with His Claws.

"well You're Just tall...i Don't even know why you would care About Something like that it's Stupid"Amy said to Surge

"And It's my whole jazz"Surge said Smuggly making Amy scowl In discontent.

"Yo So When did The Short Fancy Emo Come Here?"Surge said 

"Were You not Paying attention at all?"Amy said Coldly To Surge 

"Nope!"Surge said Grinning 

"They're The New Recruitment to the resistance"Amy said slightly Angry 

"Makes Sense is he Sonic's Brother or Something? Because they Look Similar"Surge says As Amy Gives Her a Glare.

"I- What? No they aren't! I'd know Firstly..."Amy Said flabbergasted with the comment from surge 

"and the fact I'm a Cat?"Mel said before Mel Felt Awkward again As He Looked to the ground as If it Had Something important in it.

"I mean It's Just that I'm a cat and I he's a Hedgehog..."Mel said To them. 

"that...makes Sense...i guess?"Surge said Before Looking at Mel 

"oh also Why the Cape?"Surge said 

"What?"Mel said looking confused 

"It's... Just A Odd Choice of Clothing And... It puts me off"Surge said As Mel Felt a chill go Down his Spine.

"That's... perfectly Normal... Some People Wear that stuff like that"Amy said Upset at the comment.

"Ok ok I get it- I'm just saying it's Weird"Surge said before Scoffing.

The Day Continued And soon Amy Walked Mel to His Room That He would be staying Within The resistance For the Night.

The Room was meant for one person as The single bed and Window Showed to him As Amy Opened the door for Him.

"Thank you for Showing Me around and bringing Me to my Room"Mel said Kindly 

"Yeah Yeah... Ok Well Have a good night"Amy said Coldly as she closed the door.

Mel sat Alone in the New bedroom...

As A realization about the room came to him.

This was a Major improvement for himself And Honestly This Room Felt A thousand times Better than the damned Cell he had Laid Within For hours or Sometimes days after Failures.

But Robot's shouldn't care

But Mel Felt Tiredness As They sat on the Bed And Closed their Eyes.

Metal Sonic Had Just Been Imprisoned on A Table Chained down As Eggman Punished Him.

 It Had Been a Sudden Event As Metal Had Been Going through a Punishment Where Eggman Tested "Upgrades" and Broke Him apart While He Was Still Online and half Broken...

The Pain During these Tests Also Made Metal Want to scream Even though He Had No Voicebox As Wires Broke and limbs Broke From the Robot with a Misery Metal didn't want to feel yet again.

Metal Didn't Understand Why he Was going through this As Everything Felt Wrong More than Before. 

This Was Until an Eggman Robot Was Walking Near and Accidentally Tipped Over A Glass to the Side And it Fell On the table With the liquid Slowly Moving towards Metal's Body.

Eggman Just Looked at The Eggman Robot And Yelled at them Telling them to leave Not Noticing the Glass that fell Over As The Liquid Touched Metal Sonic's Body and Metal Felt It merge Within Himself And Change Him.

He Felt Powerful Again As Eggman Grabbed his hand Starting to Break it off as Metal Healed Himself then Transformed Breaking out of the Restraints Grabbing Eggman And Picking Him Up As He Threw Him In a Cell Made For Sonic.

The Newly Upgraded Neo Metal Sonic Walked Down the Hallway Thinking As He Saw the Lab he Was inside Previously Before walking in and Seeing a reflection from a Mirror of himself From The side Of the Room.

Metal looked at himself.

He Felt Good When He saw himself.

White Stripes and White Eyeliner With a Taller Form than Previously With A Cape on His Waist and Sharp Points on the belt with his quills in the shape of stars.

Everything Felt... Right For Neo Metal Sonic 

He Knew what he Had to do.

Mel Woke up in His Bed Before stretching With their quills Also Being Messy and in need of Fixing.

Mel Looked Around the Nice Room.

(So Yesterday Wasn't a dream...) Metal Thought to himself before Getting out of the bed and Yawning.

Mel Barely had an idea of what to do so He just Walked to the Storage Facility.

As He Entered the Room He heard Amy and Tangle talking About something but couldn't hear properly yet But Soon He Was Close enough to hear Amy's Voice.

"And if you want to help you should show them the other areas"Amy said Smiling Weakly

"Okay! Thanks Ames!"Tangle Said Before Leaving the room Not Knowing Mel Was Walking in.

Soon He Stopped Falling Asleep crying.

Mel was not Sure How Much Time Had Passed When Suddenly Someone knocked on His Door.

Amy Opened Her Mouth But Then Closed it Before Talking.

"Someone Heard Crying Last Night And I Was Worried-"Amy said before Mel sighed

"Well it Wasn't Loud Per say But Someone Passed Your Door To get a Snack Last Night and Heard Crying"Amy said Quietly

Once Amy Finished Bringing the Ingredients over she put them on the counters 

"Here Mel"Amy said As She Looked at Her Phone for The ingredients Measuring It With the Measuring spoons And Putting it Into the bowl Slowly.

After They Finished Mixing the Ingredients Amy Grabbed A Pan For It and Poured it in And Smoothed It Out Before putting it in the Oven And Setting a timer on It To 12 Minutes.

"Okay Now we Wait"Amy said before Looking at Mel Smiling Happily excited about baking With Someone for once.

And Well at least for Amy... Not Being alone half the time Thinking about her Supposed "Prince Charming" Or Well ...Used to be "Prince Charming" Sonic the hedgehog.

Recently She Had Been Working so hard to Make Sonic love her back After All The Tarot Cards Told the Truth always but she felt... Betrayed by Sonic.

And Who wouldn't? She had spent literal Years thinking Sonic Might Soon start loving her back.

Soon After Watching the Movie for a Few Minutes the Alarm for the Oven Went Off As Amy Went and Took Out the CupCakes With Mel Watching Amy quietly. 

Amy Brought A Cupcake for the Both of them.

Eggman Had Screamed angrily Looking At Security Footage Again in frustration...

Originally He Had been So Damn Focused On the blue blur That broke Metallix he didn't Notice The Damage inflicted on His Badniks By ONE Resistance Member and a New one at that.

Mel Had Torn Up Robots like they Were nothing With Only His CLAWS.

Eggman Now Looking Back at the Audio and Visual Footage That Would Suddenly Cut Off and Learned a couple of Things.

Apparently This "Mel" Had just Joined the Resistance So their Wasn't Any Documented Intel Yet for Eggman Since Mel wasn't Put into the database Yet.

Eggman Grunted Angrily As He Looked at the Amount of Badniks Destroyed in one Raid.

NEVER had the Resistance Been so Good at destroying badniks So quickly Because Of One Member.

The Outside Was Full Of Roses Under The Summer Blue Sky

Mel Found himself Calm in this Place As He saw Rose Petals Flow Around Before Seeing Amy Appear With Her Looking into the Sky.

Mel Walked close to Her as She Turned Around smiling 

"Hello Sonic i-"Amy said As the world Froze With Her.

It Looked like Eggman But Messed Up Drastically With Glitches On his Face now Uncharacteristically Messed up and unrecognizable From What Metal Sonic Knew.

Metal Sonic became startled as The False Version of Eggman Talked.

"YOU'RE MINE"The glitched out Version of him said.

Metal Tried to scream But Couldn't As He Walked backwards From Eggman Before Turning and Running as Fast as he could.

The World Continued Melting and Became Full Of Colors Flashing Around him As The World Collapse Around him as-

Mel Woke Up Breathing Heavily Panicking With Tears going Down His Face...

He really Couldn't Get a break From these Nightmares could He?

Mel Got Up After Calming Down and wiping his Tears off His Face with his Hand.

The Resistance Was Working During the Daytime as Always as Everyone Did Their Own Tasks.

As Mel Continued walked through the Resistance Before He Thought about What he Should help with today...

And He'd Rather Not Deal With That Pathetic Blue Mobian-

Sheesh He Was Really Disliking the Idea of seeing Sonic today At All...

He Had Actually Went to Help Tangle With Moving Supplies To Start out the Day...

It Had Been a Few Hours and Focusing On Moving Supplies and it had Gotten Boring As Tangled talked Constantly As they Worked.

Amy Had been doing her Own Thing As She Had Dressed up And Walked into Her Office To Work

A Small Ring Came From Her Phone as she Looked at it With Confusion Before Her Eyes Slightly Widened.

Tails Texted Her And Had Ask Her To Meet Up With Him and Sonic.

She Knew that if this Was Her Past Self She Would've Jumped and Grinned At the Idea Of Being Near Sonic but now Their was A Burning Hole in Her chest that Felt Like it was Slowly Swallowing Her Whole And Making Sure it Left Nothing Left.

but Even Though She Felt That Way... Sonic Was Still Her Friend and Tails Was Also Important to her Just as much.

So She Texted Back Saying She Would Meet up with Him at his Workshop.

Soon Amy Walked Into The Workshop With Tails Nervously Staring at Her as He Messed around with His Fingers With Sonic Looking Just as Guilty As He gave a sheepish Look.

"What Is it Tails..."Amy said As If There Was an impending doom

"Sonic Why are you like this...?"Tails Said Scowling Before Amy Talked 

"And why Do you Think this?"Amy said Coldly 

"Well for One He Looks Like Metal Sonic-"Tails said 

"But he Wouldn't Go out of his way Disguise Himself He always Wants to look Like Sonic And Be better than him Why Would he Pretend To Be a Cat Instead Of a hedgehog if he's Constantly Trying to Be the Superior Sonic?"Amy said Stating outright Facts

"I know... I know it Sounds stupid but He Has Red Eyes And is Blue"Tails said 

"Okay What Other Evidence Do you Have Except for looks"Amy said

Amy Searched Her Mind As She Talked

"He Could Be a alternative Version of sonic from a different Universe"Tails Said As He Flicked His Tail Downwards As he grimaced

Tails Sighed as he looked at Amy

"For now I don't Really Know WHAT mel Is So I Need you to try And Get him to spend More Time with you"Tails said As Amy Eyes Widened 

"I-i Do!?"Amy said 

"Please"Tails said As He Looked At amy And Gave Puppy Eyes.

"Ok ok Fine... I think i have a plan"Amy Said

As Amy Walked Out of The Workshop And Opened the Door To Where the storage facility was She Saw Mel again.

And As Mel Saw Amy it Had Made Mel Practically Light Up internally Despite Hiding His Excitement at First Like always.

Tangle Had Obviously Noticed A Bit And Smirked As Mel Tried to Focus On Working Again.

"Oh AMY~"Tangled said As Mel Became Red Hot giving Tangle A Angry Looked that Could Easily Resemble A angry Cat ...

Mel Looked at Her Embarrassed as A Evil Grin was Plastered On her Face knowingly.

"you have a crush on her don't you~"Tangled Said Teasingly To Mel Who Almost Fell Over by the assumption...

"I-I Don't!"Mel said offended He wasn't Even Sure he could Have a crush Anyways...

"Well I was helping tangle with moving some supplies around for the resistance"Mel Said happily.

They went into a secluded area Away from everyone else as Mel waited For Amy to say anything.

"Uh so umm..."Amy said Awkwardly As Mel raised a Eyebrow at her Questionably.

"Tangle told me that you were interested in talking to me"Amy said with a Blush forming on her face.

Mel Raised An eyebrow Confused before Huffing...

"I don't even know why I'm surprised at this point..."Mel said sarcastically.

"Oh Um... Sorry"Amy said apologetically As she Became embarrassed as she realized what Mel Meant.

"Its Fine"Mel said shrugging as He thought of how much of an embarrassment this was.

"Also ...i Wanted to talk to You and ask you Something.."Amy said

"So uh what do you want to ask me?"Mel asked curiously to Amy.

"So uh well..."Amy said nervously before Taking a deep breath.

"Would you mind being my assistant?"Amy Asked as Mel Gave a Confused Expression at her question.

"What?"Mel said confused as Amy looked embarrassed.

"Well I mean... It's because I think you would make a good one"Amy said as Mel gave a Confused expression.

"Why would you want me to be your Assistant out of Anyone?"Mel asked curiously to Amy.

"Because You seem smart and can work well under pressure"Amy said to Mel with a Smile.

"Really?"Mel said baffled at the comment.

"Yes"Amy said Nodding to him.

"Okay..."Mel Said agreeing with her as Amy smiled.

"Thank you!"Amy said Happily to Mel.

"We can get started Tomorrow if you want"Amy said Happily to Mel.

"I mean sure i guess!"Mel Said Smiling to Amy.

"Well you should probably get back to helping the resistance"Amy said to Mel.

"Yeah"Mel agreed Nodding back to her.

"Ok go help the resistance then have a good day"Amy said Happily to Mel as Mel blushed slightly as Amy left.

"Thanks"Mel said as Amy left.

Mel Continued helping Tangle who ended up teasing him the entire Day after that About Amy before eventually the day ended with the sunset as he got ready for bed.

Mel Walked to his Room before going to his Bed and falling asleep...

Mel woke up to someone knocking on his door as he groaned getting up and opening his Door.

"Hey Mel"Amy said happily to him as Mel yawned tiredly.

"Good Morning Amy"Mel said tiredly to Amy.

"Did you sleep well?"Amy asked as Mel Nodded.

"that's Good!"Amy said cheerfully as Mel yawned again rubbing his eyes.

"I mean I'm going to be your Fancy Personal Assistant Can't be tired can I?"Mel said slightly poking Fun of Amy.

Amy's Face Became redder in the face As she talked 

"S-shut up!"Amy said Flustered Now as Mel Became Smug.

"OHHHHHhhhhh I didn't know that would embarrass you-"Mel Said Teasingly as Amy continued to blush.

"Seriously!"Amy said with a Flustered Face now and a Angry Scowl.

"Aww come on Ames"Mel Said Flirty as Amy blushed more.

"I- Just follow me..."Amy said Not Expecting to be Flirted with first thing in the morning.

"Ok-"Mel Stopped himself from calling her sweetie And Followed her now slightly Embarrassed about the close accident that almost happened.

The Resistance Was Working As Amy Walked with Mel For His First day of being her assistant.

"Er What are you planning today?"Mel asked quietly.

"I'm gonna start working on a new attack for tomorrow to Fight Eggman and his troops"Amy said as Mel Smiled at her as Amy Talked About the Attack that was Being planned.

"I'm super excited about it"Amy said with a grin

 "Actually that makes me want to ask you something..."Amy Said nervously as Mel became curious as he looked at her.

"What is it?"Mel Said as Amy sighed softly.

"Are you planning to Go out and Fight Eggman With the resistance for the Attack?"Amy said As Mel seemed surprised to hear her Question.

"I guess so..."Mel said

Amy Gave a frown and looked to the side anxiously.

"I just wanted to tell you to Be careful okay... The resistance Has Lost Many Members Because of Eggman And I mean if you go..."Amy said 

"Amy-"Mel said 

"it's just that I really care and-"

"Amy!"Mel said as he Cupped her cheeks and made her look at him.

"Srry I ju-"Amy tried saying As Mel talked 

"I'm not going to Let that Happen Especially to myself I WILL be safe I promise"Mel said as Amy Gave a Goofy Smile.

"...Thank yu"Amy said Weirdly Because Of the way her Cheeks were Cupped In Mel's hands As Mel Smiling Goofily Before Bursting out in Laughter...

"Wah"Amy said As Mel Let Go of Her face And Started laughing Manically

"I-I'm Sorry I just- I-"Mel said Before Laughing more Before Getting himself together and Talking...

"You're Freaking Precious..."Mel said smiling As Amy Pouted and crossed her arms

"Let's just go to tails workshop Okay?"Amy said finally

The two then walked down to where Amy said tails workshop Was, As they entered it they saw Tails and Sonic Talking to Eachother.

As Amy and Mel walked over to Them.

"Morning!"Tails greeted them, as Amy Smiled.

Amy Felt Lost. Although it Wasn't A everyday accordance she Still Felt Lost.

Everytime She Looked At Mel Her Heart Felt like It Might Explode just from the amount of Emotions She Feels From Just Seeing Him

But Any Chance of Mel Being Metal Sonic Felt like it Should be Thrown out the Window.

But Amy Wasn't stupid and She Would admit at the Very least that A Mobian Popping into existence did Seem Weird and was suspicious.

She Didn't Doubt Tails It was Just hard To admit That He could be Right.

And That he Probably was no matter how much she Wanted to deny it.

Eggman Had been Using A Different Metal Sonic And Metal Sonic running away From The Egg Empire Didn't seem Impossible but it also seemed Far Fetched Considering Metal Sonic Was Practically glued To Eggman And Insanely Loyal to Him.

Or Metal Sonic Had Stockho- No that's impossible a Machine Can't Get Stockholm Syndrome.

And that Idea... also Gave Amy the chills As She Remembered When She Was Kidnapped by Metal Sonic.

Who... Used To act... Less Attached to Eggman.

And... Now Practically Jumped at Anything Or Anyone laying a hand On Eggman Or Stayed Very Close to Eggman.

No She needed to stop this train of thought-

Either way the Idea Of Mel being Metal Well... Hurt a lot actually.

What else Could she Feel? Even When she Had been talking to sonic and tails Mel Had Acted Slightly Off And sad About something She didn't know.

She Might never know what's Hurting him But Eggman Potentially Being the one To Hurt And Make Him Become sad.

Made Her Swirled Through Emotions At rapid fire.

Mel Seemed uncomfortable Near Sonic also.

Which Was... Very similar to Metal Sonic.

And She Hated It She hated How Much She cared.

She Hated That She Enjoyed His Company and She Hated Herself For being so attached.

But She couldn't help it.

At least she could try to be there for him and Help him if he Needed it.

Maybe That Would Be Enough For Now.

Mel And Her Were Now Working Together and She Kept an Eye On Him.

She Had Been The One to Come up with the Idea For him To be her assistant.

It Would help Her Look for Clues Onto just What Mel was.

And More information about If he Could really be Metal Sonic.

Amy frowned.

But Also Maybe She Was Bit just a Bit Selfish to Spend Time with what was Essentially Her Best friend-

Mel Wasn't Her best Friend Just They were Really Really Close To Each other Like Being Glued by The Hip Together.

but Amy Just Sighed as She Looked At Any Potential Ways "Mel" Could Have Came Here Without any trances Of His past left Behind.

She Eyes Stared at the Ground As Her Mind tried to Come Up with Something.

She Sighed As Nothing Came To her Mind as she Frowned.

Mel Had Actually Left To get Something As Her Mind Scrabbled For Answers.

But As Mel Came Back in Her Eyes Softened Seeing That He Brought Coffee For her.

"I Saw that You Looked Stressed So I went To get some Coffee for you"Mel Said As that Same Saddened Look Came to his Eyes.

She So desperately Wanted to know what was Going on With Her Friend but couldn't As he spoke.

"Thank you Mel"Amy said As Mel frowned Again.

"Hey You doing alright?"Mel said as Amy Sighed.

"Yeah just think about something"Amy said As she Took the Coffee Tiredly From Mel.

"It Looks like it's Tearing you Apart"Mel said as He Went Quiet.

'And you Don't Look well either'Amy thought As her heart Was tugged.

"I'm fine, Mel," Amy replied, her voice sounding more convincing even to herself. 

"I just... there's a lot on my mind right now." She took a sip of the coffee, grateful for the warmth spreading through her. 

"And I don't want you to worry about me. You should focus on yourself." Amy said 

Mel looked surprised by her words, and Amy could feel her cheeks heat up a little. Maybe she shouldn't have said that. But she couldn't help feeling protective of him, even if she was still suspicious Of Him being Metal Sonic.

They sat together in silence for a moment, each lost in their own thoughts. Before Mel cleared his throat. 

"So... uh... Amy..." He began tentatively, "I wanted to apologize... for earlier. For acting distant. It's just..." His voice trailed off again.

Amy glanced over at him, concerned. She knew he was keeping something from her. "You don't need to apologize, Mel. You did nothing wrong."

Mel met her gaze for a long moment before looking away, shaking his head slowly. "No It's... complicated. And I'm not even sure if you'd believe me if I told you."

"What is it?"Amy said As Mel Eyes Widened before He Frowned.

"I... Just i-i... Nevermind"Mel said as He looked Torn.

Amy Felt her Thoughts race As she spoke.

"You... Don't have to Tell me now"Amy said As Mel Gave a scared Look.

"NO- I mean It's Nothing important okay Just ignore earlier okay?" Mel said before she Looked Nervous.

"Okay..."Amy said As she Felt Sad.

"Hey um Would you Like To Spend Time Together after work?"Amy said feeling Guilty.

"Y-yeah that would be nice"Mel said as amy Looked Happier than Before.
