“Do you want to see her pictures too?” Felix asked, tone sounding careful, still examining Gavi closely.
He couldn’t help but wonder how much the Portuguese suspected or knew about his relationship with the Madrid player. He could have been more careful around him but he’s always liked Felix enough to not want to hide such a significant part of his life. Truth be told, he’d come close to telling him before everything went to shit.
And now here he was struggling to hide a ship that had been languishing at the bottom of the ocean for the past several months.
“I think I can survive, so no thanks,” he said, giving Felix a tight-lipped smile. “Good for him though.”
“I hope so,” Felix said, shrugging now. “I mean, I hope he’s doing what makes him happy.”
Gavi couldn’t fathom a single reason why that sounded so ambiguous.
“Yeah, whatever,” he said, pulling him into a side-way hug. “I’m out of here.”
