Work Text:
“I don’t get it,” Bonecrusher said watching Long Haul folding the small, for them, strips of paper into little stars before adding them into a box
“What’s there to get?” Long Haul asked glancing up for a moment as he kept working, “I’m folding paper stars.”
“Yeah but why?” Bonecrusher asked again this time cocking his head
“It requires just enough skill that it’s engaging, but I also find it relaxing,” Long Haul said finishing the star he was working on
“Seems kinda boring. You don’t even have the TV on or anything.”
“Sometime silence is golden.”
“It’s boring and…”
“Is Hook not around? So you can bother him instead of me?” Long Haul asked finally
“Ha, no, and neither are the others, come on let’s go for a drive or something.”
“Come sit,” Long Haul said pushing out a chair, “I’ll show you how to do it.”
Bonecrusher frowned but came to sit down across from Haul
“Alright,” Long Haul said passing him a strip of paper, “first you tie one end into a knot and then you flatten it.”
Bonecrusher hummed, he could do this easy, he did have the second most delicate touch on the team, helped when dealing with explosives, he could fold a stupid paper star… or maybe not his finished product was looking a bit…ruff, “well….”
“Come on try again,” Long Haul said giving him some more paper
Bonecrusher sighed. This was gonna be a long afternoon.
