“I’m going to need you to hand that over to me,” the woman that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere told Barbara.
Ignoring that the woman said the words of her soulmark, Barbara focused on her demand. To hand over the artifact that Dick had just passed off to her to get back to the cave.
“And why exactly should I do that?”
The woman blinked in surprise.
“Well that makes this a bit more complicated. As for why? I’m The Librarian.”
Something came over Barbara and she was compelled to hand the artifact over.
“I’ll be back. I promise.”
