Summary
He was born unlucky. That wasn't something that he struggled to accept, his father made sure that he knew it from the very first time he'd ever shifted. The moment that his scent solidified from some strange adolescent mixture of rabbit and wolf to just being rabbit. When his hair went white as his snow hare mother's and any hope of having the claws or teeth he would need to be the warrior his father wanted drained away. He was a rabbit. Prey. And Prey weren't allowed to fight. Too often their instincts got the better of them, their struggle to fight and survive overriding the training to fight and protect others when Ferals from deep within the forest came to try to hunt their village's Prey and steal away mates. He tried so hard to fight those instincts, to train anyway, to be something more. And then puberty had really hit and he'd found out he was cursed twice over. Enough wolf in him to give him a designation, to make him an omega. A hybrid buck omega? Sterile, weak, and desperate past coherence to be bred for a whole week every couple of months? He would be an ideal mate for anyone who just wants a plaything.
