Summary
“I had a job with Adrien a few days ago…”, Luka starts talking but trails off. He seems embarrassed to say what happened.
“What happened?”, Marinette asks concerned. They are sworn rivals. Why would they even work together? It doesn’t make any sense.
“I don’t even know myself”, Luka laughs but without joy: “My mom just send me to pick him and his angry babysitter up. We were alone on the boat and I kind of kissed him?”
Marinette her eyes widen in surprise, she keeps her voice steady and soft with all her willpower: “What happened afterwards?”
“He left me at shore like a bride at the altar. He didn’t say anything but that kiss was amazing Marinette. He was so clearly into it. I don’t know what I did wrong”, Luka sighs as he stares at the ceiling: “He’s so hot and lovely, I would kill for one of his genuine smiles. He talked a lot about anime and it was the cutest thing ever.”
“With you fawning over Adrien like that I feel like I don’t stand a chance myself with you”, Marinette laughs but there a hint of truth in it. She’s scared she won’t have a chance to love either of them.
Luka’s eyebrows knit together, he turns to face her and says huskily: “I’ll show you what your chances are.”
