The Day of the Red Sun.
Impulse remembers it all. Like it happened yesterday. Like it was all a fuzzy dream.
Except every look in the mirror reminds him otherwise. The horns protruding from his forehead, his canines longer than a normal person's - all of it is a reminder. A reminder of what he's lost and (forcibly) gained from the Red Sun.
Learning how to survive like this is all he has to worry about now.
1990, in the later months of autumn, in a little farmhouse he grew up in.

Martyn was a lone wolf, always on his own. He found it better that way, but the Red Sun led him to someone - someone he never wanted to lose.
It’s been months since, and the grief is still fresh in his mind. Losing Jimmy broke him, took him from caring about himself to not caring at all.
But, maybe, the new guys can be a new beginning.
1990, in the beginning of winter, in the barracks of an Adventurer’s branch.
