Proud immortal vengeful way, a power fantasy book that was written just so the main character, luo binghe, could beat all those who hurt him in the past down. With complex creatures and a wonderful plot it hooked anyone looking for a new fantasy book to read.
Is what shen yuan would say if the author, airplane shooting toward the sky, didn't fuck it up on the way. Shen yuan could write essay after essay in comments about what went wrong with every single chapter after the immortal conference arc.
What happened to the revenge plot? The intrigue with shen qingqiu? Any semblance of a structure or story??
Shen yuan could only conclude that airplane threw his mind out of a window while writing the later chapters of proud immortal vengeful way.
If he could explain Pround Immortal Vengeful Way in simple terms he would start it like this: the story starts following a young luo binghe, who's entire life was displaced after his Parents went missing and luo binghe was left all alone. So luo binghe, taking after his mother, ventures out to discover what happened. And at the ripe age of 12, climbs up the cang qiong mountain - where the cang qiong sect resided. A legendary sect, of which many masters were cultivated through.
Of course in a normal book one would simply continue his journey- meeting the other disciples and building up tension and wonder in the plot, instead airplane shooting toward the sky decided that a measly five chapters should be dedicated to luo binghe's early days in cang qiong. And after that he wrote off the rest of his discipleship and headed straight toward his peak lord years.
All of which garnered a strike in Shen Yuan's books, but he digressed.
Without any fanfare luo binghe becomes the peak lord of the beast peak, later said to be an encyclopedia for anything related to beasts . Of course airplanes would forget about that feature of luo binghe many times over, but that is one of his lesser crimes in Proud immortal vengeful way.
Around thirty chapters in, the plot finally starts to thicken when shen qingqiu is seen doing ‘suspicious actions’ by luo binghe. Shen qingqiu, peak lord of the scholar peak, hated by all and loved by none. A lesser villain made to be the big bad of proud immortal vengeful way. He is described to be a spiteful angry person who spits vitriol at any in his way.
After shen qingqiu’s spotlight moment, proud immortal vengeful way starts to move at a fast pace, trudging through chapter after chapter. And soon at the immortal conference shen qingqiu was revealed to be a demon!
Shen yuan could scream joy at this! In fact he did, being an idiot who thought the plot would become what he had hoped it to be in the beginning.
Instead it was used as a hurdle that luo binghe had to get over again and again as shen qingqiu would never stop coming after luo binghe. Then, the author seemingly done with shen qingqiu just has luo binghe up and kill shen qingqiu! And nothing comes of it! Luo binghe continues to be his usual manipulative and uncaring self. For another thousand chapters!
A thousand chapters! He really feels like he should say that again! It's just absurd.
The furious typing of Shen yuan’s keyboard echos as he types paragraph after paragraph yelling - pleading almost - for airplane shooting toward the sky to fix his plo t! To rewrite the whole damn thing even.
Chewing on a piece of bread, Shen yuan can't believe airplane! The dumbfuck just decides to announce that the story was going to end in the next chapter, but it can't - he can't! Airplane has to fix this plot hole ridden piece of garbage!
One last click and Shen yuan chokes, eyes blown wide he grasps at his throat. His chair falls back as he strains to grasp at life. His mind reeling as his life flashes before his eyes. And even as he falls to the floor, gasping and garbling pleas for help, he can't help but wonder how long it would take for someone to find him. It had been weeks since anyone last visited.
And he still hasn't fixed his relationship with his family for them to find him worth paying a visit toward.
Hah, wouldn't it be funny if the person who found him was a neighbor who wanted to complain about the smell ? Even funnier if the people, who only knew about him from the internet, knowing about his disappearance before his family did

He spits as the world turns black.
It was quiet only for a moment. The stillness of it all had Shen yuan blinking - if he could.

Shen Yuan pauses, looking through the black escape that surrounds him. Unable to see or hear anything around him or what should be in front of him.

A bright chime echoes in Shen yuans head like a hammer. Its voice sounding like that of a google translator, completely monotone in its deliverally. Cold and harsh like the black void around Shen Yuan.

Hahh?? Shen Yuan couldn’t believe his eyes when a blue screen floating in the air flickers in front of him. Mocking him almost when he turns his head and it follows.
Shen Yuan blinks, ‘placed in proud immortal vengeful way’? The Proud Immortal Vengeful way? The one with a cold hearted Luo binghe who’d kill anybody before he let himself get close to someone? That Proud Immortal Vengeful Way??
The system intercuts his internal dialogue before he could get too far.

It continues in its monotone voice, with its words appearing on a bright blue screen. And with its words his vision fills with colors and objects. Shen Yuan finds himself sitting on the ground of a particularly beautiful scenery green and lush with life- a Guqin lay right under his finger tips. Before he could admire the scenery more, a painful stabbing fills his chest making his vision swim as he clutches at his chest.
Gasping Shen yuan hunches over the Guqin. Is he really going to die right after being brought back to life?! System!!

Great! Thats wonderful and all, but why the fuck is he dying already!

Confused Shen yuan makes a face at the blue screen, about to yell once again before he is interrupted.
“Shidi?”
Looking up Shen yuan finds a rather kind looking man looking down at him. A concerned frown etched onto his face.
“I.. Who?” Shen Yuan starts, before grimacing in pain.
The man sighs and kneels down next to him. “Shidi, I know you feel the need to prove yourself but it would be better not to push yourself as much” the man chides him as a soft current flows through his body.
SYSTEMMMM!!
Shen yuan mentally screams, not knowing who this man is nor who he himself is, and only gets a blank blue screen in response - likely waiting for a question. The system after being stared at for a solid minute as the man continues to chastise him, finally gets what Shen Yuan wants.

This is Yue Qingyuan? The man that stood against Luo binghe at every turn and fight against Shen Qingqiu?

And Shen yuan could honestly see it, the kind face and big build with a puppy like temperament. He is definitely just like what was written in Proud Immortal vengeful way.
But that then begs the question.
Who is Shen Yuan??? Because he certainly isn’t luo binghe if the pin straight hair and Guqin in front of him was any factor. Because it was, Luo binghe was widely known for his fluffy hair that was constantly mentioned and drawn in fan art - and though Luo binghe had a talent for everything, he wouldn’t play the Guqin in a random field just for someone to hear!
The system seemingly done with him, gives up on trying to have Shen yuan figure it out himself.

A disciple runs up to them both before Shen Yuan could get into an argument with the system. They hold a small build with no identifying features, not that they would have because for all that Proud Immortal Vengeful Way was a cultivation story it held a measly amount of cultivation and discipleship and more of an ass kicking and getting the ladies type of story. So no disciples, after Luo binghe’s disciple chapters, were mentioned in great detail.
“Yue-Shibo, Shen-Shibo,” the disciple bows, once toward Yue Qingyuan and another toward Shen Yuan (Shen Qingqiu?). After bowing the disciple turns back toward Yue Qingyuan “Shizun requests your assistance at the moment”
Yue Qingyuan nods before looking toward Shen yuan-Qingqiu.. Seemingly deciding what to say.
Shen Qingqiu waves him off, giving an assured smile. If he’s needed elsewhere why stay with him? Yue Qingyuan startles at this before nodding and following the disciple (who also looks surprised). And Shen Qingqiu can't help but feel like it's stupid that they would be startled for his actions until the System chimes, quite loudly in fact.
[Warning! OOC, Shen Qingqiu would never smile toward another person]
Huh??? Shen Qingqiu has an OOC lock?? For how long?
[User 02 is held within an OOC lock until his demonic heritage is revealed at the Immortal conference. Any occurrence of ignoring the OOC lock with be punished]
Until the immortal conference?! And even punished for it?? Shen yuan could spit blood at the system for this! The one thing the system wants him to do is change the story but he has to act like Shen Qingqiu until his blackening arc??? For whyy!
Head hurting Shen Qingqiu asks again,
And how long until the Immortal conference?

Well fuck me. He might as well just die.

Sighing, Shen qingqiu rests his head in his hands for a moment. The only good thing about this entire thing is he’ll have cool demon powers? Right?
[System has no opinion]
Well good, because he wasn’t asking. picking up his guqin along the way, Shen Qingqiu groans and trudges(although as graceful as he could muster because of the system's warning) toward his house to get to a warm room where no one could bother him for a solid week. But with Shen Qingqiu’s luck he will be bothered no matter what he wills from the world.
While walking (with the help from the system) to Shen Qingqiu’s house, he stumbles upon Yue Qingyuan once again - though far away enough from Yue Qingyuan for him to not have any reason to call for Shen Qingqiu. And along with Yue Qinqyuan he spots a head full of curly black hair and a proud back - Luo binghe no doubt.
Even with Luo binghe’s back toward Shen qingqiu, Shen Qingqiu still hid behind a tree - that Luo binghe has instincts like that of a beast and will get at Shen Qingqiu for eavesdropping on him. And now you could say that Shen Qingqiu should just continue on his merry way, but to give up his one chance to see Luo binghe in a way that isn’t fighting with him either verbally or physically is one he will take!
Being careful about it, Shen Qingqiu focuses on the sound around him to get a good idea about what Luo binghe and Yue Qingqiu were talking about. And even after a few minutes of him listening he could not get one lick of what they were talking about. Of course the immortal master, demon extraordinaire Shen Qingqiu wouldn’t be able to hear a conversation not even 20 Chi (21.8 feet) away from him!
Grumbling Shen Qingqiu, turns and continues on his way. But not before heading straight first into a wall?? A soft wall? Shen Qingqiu opens his eyes and startles when he sees not a wall, but instead a man. That man being Luo binghe, who currently is softly glaring down at him
.
“Shen-shixiong” Luo binghe calls as Shen Qingqiu backs up.
Luo binghe was just as pretty as the novel said he would be, held with grace and power , and Shen qingqiu finds himself staring momentarily - of course as expected Luo binghe would even have someone as straight as him staring!
Sniffing, Shen Qingqiu nods his head toward Luo binghe as the other stares as him “Luo-shidi”
Luo binghe tilts his head and smiles toward him - one that doesn’t reach his eyes - “What could be the problem with Shen-Shixiong for him to be out at this time?”
Bristling Shen Qingqiu glares at him “Going home, if you had to know, what else would this master be doing at this time?” The system encourages him in the background, but Shen Qingqiu ignores it.
Luo binghe laughs and nods, turning to side to let Shen Qingqiu continue on his way “Sorry then, Shen-Shixiong”
Shen Qingqiu brushes past him, but stops momentarily when he’s right in front of Luo binghe again. Keeping a tight hold on his nerves Shen Qingqiu looks up toward where Luo binghe is starting at him questioningly.
“What.. why did you need Yue Qingqiu?”
The smile that creeps onto Luo binghe’s face as he leans down toward Shen qingqiu sends shivers down his spine.
“Ah, Shen-Shixiong didn’t hear? A beast got out, and to minimize the damage this master had to get the Sect masters help. I thought because it was on your peak, you would have known?” A laughing tilt lined luo binghe’s words.
Shen Qingqiu sputters, “of course this master knew! He just had to make sure his information was correct!” keeping a tight grip on his.. everything, Shen qingqiu starts to back up.
Luo binghe stand up straight again, seemingly humored at his expense “Is that right? Well then this master will let you be on your way” Luo binghe bows once again, before turning and walking off.
Shen Qingqiu on the other hand basically runs, almost missing many turns and getting docked BB points because of OOC. But he didn’t care. Swearing internally Shen Qingqiu barely makes it inside his new home before his legs give out on him.
Fuck! Luo binghe is even more scary in real life than he even was in the novel. He just about fell to his knees when he first saw Luo binghe - if not for his experience of facing off against his brother he would have!
Gods, he never wants to see a head of curly hair again!
Of course as his luck would have it, just a week into his stay in proud Immortal vengeful way the peak lords had a meeting planned. The system did inform him that not all of the peak lords would be there, instead doing other things that felt more important than a meeting to them. And if Shen Qingqiu could have his way he would have done so too but apparently the Original Shen Qingqiu decided to be a stick in the mud and go to every meeting no matter how much he was shown that he was hated by the other peak lords.
So here he was, dressed to impress, in a meeting sitting next to Yue Qingyuan. Before Shen Qingqiu went inside the meeting hall he could hear the chatter of the conversations that the peak lords were having. But right as he opened the door, many of the conversations stopped to a halt and even had a few coughing.
Shen Qingqiu wanted to laugh in the face of these damn ‘immortal masters’, they couldn’t even talk around Shen Qingqiu? Acting like he was the plague? He could almost get the original's spiteful hatred toward these peak lords, almost.
Sitting next to Yue Qingyuan wasn’t the worst, mostly because he would talk to Mu Qingfang - the doctor of Cang Qiong - and wouldn’t act like Shen Qingqiu would bite him if he spoke a little too loud.
Sniffing Shen Qingqiu closes his eyes and quietly meditates until the meeting starts. After a moment of staring at Shen Qingqiu just sitting there, quiet conversations start again.
About a minute goes by until his peace is broken, broken by a door being opened up with little to no fanfare. Opening one eye Shen Qingqiu spys Luo binghe and Liu Qingge walking in - Luo binghe laughing seemingly at something Liu Qingge said.
Liu Qingge, a strong character that made friends with Luo binghe for their common attitude toward fighting - of course that was all ruined by Shen Qingqiu killing him in the spiritual caves, pulling Shen Qingqiu toward the top of Luo binghe’s ‘kill on site’ list when he found out. Actually many of the readers of Proud immortal vengeful way shipped the two characters, simply for the way they interacted in the novel. Of course that could never be so as it was a purely straight novel. But seeing them now, Shen Qingqiu could almost agree with those readers. Not that he ever disagreed.
Luo binghe, being the way he is, has no qualms with shen qingqiu being there, continues to talk - to which Shen qingqiu is a little bit grateful for. As after he comes in, many of the other conversations gain a bit of life in them
Once Yue Qingyuan sees that everyone is there, coughs. Gaining the attention of the peak lords still standing. With everyone seated, Yue Qingyuan starts.
Starts the most boring thing he has ever been a part of, how the hell did Shen Qingqiu live through these! And he isn’t the only one, as most of the peak lords when they aren't speaking doze off or go off into their own little world (Mu qingfang being a great example) at least Shen Qingqiu tried to pay attention, but soon he was off in his own little world too.
And that little world was him trying to plan how to escape his soon to be death. Fun right?
Shen Qingqiu dies right after killing Liu Qingqiu, which is easy, Shen Qingqiu just has to not kill Liu Qingqiu. Which it would be, if Shen Qingqiu didn't have people left and right trying to frame him for things he didn’t do. So Shen Qingqiu just needs to completely disappear from Luo binghe’s view to the best of his ability after the immortal Conference. The system then decides to interrupt his own plan to save himself - ruining everything.
[User 02 would fail his task and be sent back to his own world if he doesn’t interact with Luo binghe after the immortal conference. System encourages User 02 to think of a different ‘plan’ ]
If Shen Qingqiu could, he would kill the system. No one would have to frame him for that.
[System asks kindly for User 02 to stop that thought. The system has no body, and therefore cannot be killed]

Grumbling Shen Qingqiu, tunes back into the meeting. Right as Luo binghe starts to speak. Perking up, Shen Qingqiu finds himself staring at Luo binghe instead of really paying attention. Airplane really didn’t pull out any stops on anything related to Luo binghe - His beauty is a fine example of that. The perfect skin and perfect smile, that seems to shine even when he is snarking at another. His charisma when talking about the smallest of things pulls Shen Qingqiu in along with his brown almost black eyes shining with mirth.
Luo binghe looks toward him momentarily, startling Shen Qingqiu into pulling up his fan (One he found while scouring Shen Qingqiu’s bamboo house for dirt on Shen Qingqiu that he needed to burn with fire). Luo binghe quickly looks back toward Yue Qingyuan and finishes what he needed to say. Luo binghe and his damn instincts.
After a moment Shen qingqiu looks toward Yue Qingqiu, who finishes writing what he needed to and looks straight at shen qingqiu. “Shidi. Anything you need to state?”
Sniffing, Shen Qingqiu raises his fan higher, “No, this master has nothing of importance as of this moment” Yue Qingyuan nods and faces the rest of the peak lords.
“Then that concludes this meeting” Yue Qingyuan gets up and bows shallowly at the rest of them and leaves.
Sighing Shen Qingqiu gets up himself, walking past the rest of the lightly talking peak lords. When someone calls out to him.
“Shen-Shixiong!”
Stopping, Shen Qingqiu tilts his head toward the voice - luo binghe? (and if that movement held Luo binghe’s heart in its grasp, he wouldn’t tell anyone)
Luo binghe nods toward him, catching up to him. Tilting his body so he would be eye level with Shen Qingqiu. “Would Shen-Shixiong like the fur and pelt of the beast the other day? We couldn’t get it to be sane after that event, having to put it down for its own health”
Shen Qingqiu nods along, surprised, Luo binghe was offering something to him? Before he could question it, he finds himself smiling at luo binghe’s ranting about the beast and how its pelt would be best used with Shen Qingqiu.
Covering his smile with his fan, Shen Qingqiu momentarily forgets the OOC lock and lightly laughs toward Luo binghe “of course this master would love to have the pelt of the magic beast. This master thanks Luo-shidi for his thoughtfulness”
This leaves Luo binghe stunned - but Shen Qingqiu couldn’t pay attention to that as a loud ear piercing alarm rings in his ear.
[WARNING USER HAS GONE PAST THE ALLOWED OOC - USER HAS TWO MINUTES TO GET TO A ‘SAFE’ PLACE BEFORE PUNISHMENT IS PUT FORTH ]
System!?!
[1:59 MINUTES REMAINING]
Shen Qingqiu quickly bows and thanks Luo binghe before hurrying off. Jumping on his sword (that he barely had any time to fiddle around with) and flying straight toward his Bamboo house. Tumbling through the doorway the System chimes.
[ 0 MINUTES REMAINING INITIATING PUNISHMENT PROTOCOL]
He barely get a moment to reorient himself before he passes out. Shocks travel throughout his body when he wakes - and not to his bamboo house, instead to a burning mountain and burning pain. Looking around Shen Qingqiu spots a tail behind himself in addition to claws on his hands.
A hand grabs him by his chin, nails piercing skin as Shen Qingqiu is forced to look into burning red eyes. Luo binghe laughs and pulls him up by his neck. Clutching onto the hand holding him up, Shen Qingqiu tears up. Feet dangling above the ground, Shen Qingqiu looks fearfully into those red eyes.
“Shixiong~ whats got you so afraid?” Luo binghe grins before throwing him to the ground. The pain bursting in Shen Qingqiu’s back has him coughing blood.
“Its not like this Shidi is doing anything to his Shixiong,” Luo binghe grins mockingly at him before humming.
Walking leisurely toward him, Luo binghe eyes him “Not going to yell at your Shidi? Oh poor old me… hmm” grabbing Shen Qingqiu by the hair, Luo binghe stares right at his eyes again “Why don’t we put that demon blood to use, Yes?” his voice purring, Luo binghe puts his hands on Shen Qingqiu’s left arm. And ripping it straight off the socket, Shen Qingqiu stares at the place where his arm used to be before looking back up at Luo binghe - the pain finally catching up to him. His screams echo in his mind along with Luo binghe’s laughter.
It takes several more moments before Shen Qingqiu is freed.
Pain stabs throughout Shen Qingqiu before he wakes up, panting on the floor of his bamboo house.
