His soul still pangs as he whispers his secret "I tried to once."
Dreams tone changed, now inquisitive and eager. "Really?"
Nigtmare scoffs, "Of course I did, I tried to leave it all behind. Start anew. New house, new people to eat breakfast alongside, New tricks."
"But old dog?”
"Same old dog."Dream is quiet for a second.
"If you were a dog, what kind do you think you'd be?"
Nightmare finds the question absurd, but he humors it. Even if just to sooth his prickling nerves "Perhaps a Rottweiler. They are one of my favorites."
Dream is silent again before asking quietly. "Are you one of your favorites?"
