Work Text:
Hizashi doesn’t really know how he got in this situation.
The day started out normal. He woke up, got ready for work teaching the next generation, then went to his favorite cafe to start grading the mid term exams he gave out that day. Really, the tests were the only thing abnormal and that was just because they were longer than the usual and therefore, caused him to stay out later than normal.
It was starting to get dark when Izuku, the boy who always made his coffee, came to drop off his last cup for the day. The teen left with a smile telling Hizashi that he could stay till he was done closing up. Thirty minutes after finishing it however, Hizashi felt tired instead of reenergized. Then everything went black.
Now he was in what looked to be a bedroom, trying to comprehend what happened as the boy from his favorite cafe stood across from him.
The teen didn’t seem to notice Hizashi. He was muttering to himself with his back to the adult, giving the man a chance to look around a little more. He was lying on the floor with a pillow under his head. A bed with black and yellow sheets was next to him and, after sitting up, Hizashi saw his hero persona in plushy form sitting comfortably against the headboard.
“You're awake!” Izuku exclaimed, drawing the hero’s attention to the rope the child was holding. “You should have been out for at least another hour. Having to drag you here probably jostled you though and the caffeine in your system could have messed with a few things…”
As the teen muttered to himself as he usually did, Hizashi got to his feet to shake out the last of the numbness. It would seem he was kidnapped by a fan. It didn’t surprise him as much as it should have, what with how Izuku fanboyed so much when they first met and occasionally still did.
But as disappointed as he was in the kid, Hizashi couldn’t be too mad at the little listener. He didn’t have the greatest home life growing up from what the hero could gather and Put Your Hands Up radio seemed to help a lot with the boy’s struggles. It probably made Present Mic seem more involved in Izuku’s life then Hizashi ever truly was, making the kid act rashly.
All the man had to do was talk to the greenette about how this kind of behavior wasn’t appropriate no matter how big of a fan he was. As well as talk with Izuku’s father about potentially taking the kid to therapy for possible lingering attachment issues.
Before Hizashi had the chance though, the bedroom’s door flung open, revealing the villain Eraser.
The elusive man was known for his effective assassinations and no questions policy. He could take care of anyone at any time as long as you gave him a name. No one even knew the man's face due to him successfully getting rid of any witnesses.
The only reason Hizashi even realized it was the villain that just barged in was because of the cat logo on his shirt. It was the same logo of a cat laying sideways, paws and tail out, in the shape of an “E” that was on the business cards he left behind. A sort of signature to let people know who was behind the act.
The hero didn’t get a chance to jump between Izuku and the villain, though. Being stopped by Izuku whining “Daaaadd!!! You ruined the surprise.”
Dad?!
“I didn’t recognise the shoes by the door. What’s going on?”
Izuku huffed and crossed his arms as if the man he was addressing wasn’t the same man who off-ed Endeavor for a bag of doritos. “This was supposed to be your birthday present.”
“Excuse me?” Eraser questioned, raising a brow, and still obviously ready to pounce despite having relaxed a bit since coming in.
“You are always talking about how lonely you are and how it would be nice to have someone warm to cuddle up with at night. You even said you would prefer one with green eyes and wouldn’t mind them being loud.” Izuku explained as he gestured to Hizashi with a grin. “Well, I got you a partner that fits all those requirements!”
There was a moment of silence as the two adults just stared at the teen as he continued with his jazz hands.
Finally the villain responded with, “I ment a cat Izuku, not a lover.”
Hizashi sputtered at the wording but the teen just ignored him. “Well you weren’t specific enough. Besides, if you and Hizashi-san are together then that would make Present Mic my dad!”
At that, Eraser finally turned to the blonde and gave him a once over. “Present Mic, huh?”
Izuku nodded enthusiastically. “Yea! It’ll be great. He could get me autographs from all the heroes at UA. And maybe even from the ones who come on his radio show! Plus, he likes his coffee black like you do and he’s an early bird so you won’t have to brew it yourself in the morning anymore!”
Before the situation could escalate any further, Hizashi decided to intervene with one of his signature smiles. “Whoa there little listener! As cool as it would be to be your Pop, I think you're skipping a few steps. I haven’t even had a chance to talk with Eraser before let alone been on a date, ya dig?”
The villain seemed to tense before he locked his eyes on the blonde. The suspicion threw him off for a second before he realized why. He called the man by his villain name.
Ooops…
“I think you’re right Izuku.” The black haired man stated, eyes still locked on Hizashi. “Mic and I just need to have a long chat then I’m sure your Papa will be happy to move in.”
“Yes!” the greenette cheered, oblivious to the horror that just came across the hero’s face. “I knew you would like your present.”
Omake:
Hizashi: Did you really off Endeavor for a bag of chips?
Shouta: I was going to kill him anyway. The Doritos were just a bonus.
Izuku: Cat, lover. Potato, tomato. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Shouta: Its potato, po-tato.
Izuku: You want him or not?
