Chapter 1: who are you?

Chapter Text

The buildings were gloomy as the snow and wind howled through the abandoned city. Everything smelled of wet rotting corpses and wood from all the destroyed buildings that had had occupants when they collapsed. The taste of snow and rust settled on his tongue as a reminder of why he was here. In the middle of the street walked a man wearing a hood and a robe as protection against the bleakly cold winds that swept through all the buildings. With each step he got closer to a door on the side of a building, When he got there he raised his hand and tapped it on the door. A man opened the door of the building and looked straight into the crystal red glowing eyes of the robed man.

"Password hiker"

"Password? It shouldn't be needed"

The man in the door rolls his eyes while the other stares unblinkingly into his eyes. The robed man tries to open the door fully and takes a step inside but is stopped with a knife made of transparent material.

“not a step to walkers, this is your first and si-”

The man in the neck of the door turns 180 degrees mid-sentence and slowly tumbles forward and out the door. The robed man walked over the dead bodies as if they were trash on the floor and went through the door. He pulled the door shut and there was a splash and crash, the door had closed on the corpse's legs and cut them off.

"Sorry, I didn't hear you. It must have been unimportant, right?"

There was no answer.
