Summary
Cautious of the drink in his hand, Tsuruno crossed his arms and met Hannya with a pinning look. “Are you good at your job?”
“Killin’ people?” Hannya spread out his hands, lifting them to welcome in a crowd’s praise. “I’m a goddamn savant. Don’t think you’ve tracked down a better Kijin Clan assassin to ask to play turncoat for ya.”
Searching for new recruits, Tsuruno looks to The Castle and finds a man in a Hannya mask who unknowingly burrows himself into Tsuruno's heart and favors through a murder. To win or be given freedom--the result is the same and Hannya is offered an exit.
