Chapter Text
Today is January 27, plus a quiet morning at the Ben 10,000 tower. Down the halls is a door that reveals a boy with dark brown hair, brown skin and green eyes, awake and fiddling with his cell phone. Kenneth or better known as Ken Tennyson with his headphones plugged in and listening to some calm music. The music was low to enjoy the moment in his dark room.
*Knock Knock*
"I'm on my way." Ken made his way to the door and came face to face with his father, the famous hero Ben 10,000. The Savior of the entire universe. Ben was standing there staring at Ken, who removed his headphones. "Good morning, Dad."
"Good morning Kenny. Can we talk? I have something I want to tell you."
"All right." Ken followed him to the center of his base, looking all the way back where he passes every day. Ben and Ken arrived at the center of the base and Ken could see his old Spinner costume confiscated, but it didn't even fit in it anymore. He was already 15 years old and had grown up quite a bit. He was bigger than his father at that age.
"It's been almost a year since you told me you were Spinner and of course, like your dad, I was upset that you hid it from me. However, that's not why I called you at this time, but to give you a gift for having behaved all this time." Ben reached into his pocket and showed Ken his old Omnitrix.
"That's..."
"Yes. The Omnitrix." Ben walked up to his son and placed the Omnitrix on his left wrist. You showed me that even with secrets, in this last year I can trust you and I see that you are very disciplined. The plumber training really worked."
"Don't even joke Dad, that training was very exhausting... But are you really going to entrust it to me? I mean, The definitive Omnitrix is what made it possible for you to hold back the Big Bang and-"
"We don't need to go into detail Ken. What I want to say is that you have regained my full trust, and as your training has been advancing, Magister Rook Blonko has told me that you have been featured in the training missions. So when the going gets tough, you'll have the clock with you." Ken smiled as he looked at the Omnitrix on his wrist again, he didn't even know what to say to his father.
"Just promise me that you won't step out of line this time, and you'll obey the orders of the Magistrate or any superior, okay?"
"I promise dad. Wait, the Omnitrix is locked on 10 Aliens?"
"Yes, but this time, I gave you better aliens, like Grey Matter, Big Chill, Rath, Swampfire, XLR8, Shocksquatch, Feedback, Beast, Way Big, and Spider Monkey."
"At least this time it was good aliens. Thank you Dad. I won't let you down this time, and I'll obey the orders of my superiors, but I can't guarantee that when I act fast and in imminent danger I won't do something out of the ordinary."
"If the situation dictates a quick and not reckless action, maybe they will accept it. Now go get ready, because today you're going to meet two new members of your team!" Ken was surprised by his father's statement. But he knew he wasn't going to act alone this time, so he chose not to argue.
The dawn passed with the blink of an eye and it was almost lunchtime. Ken dressed in his black pants and his white shoes with black stripes and his black shirt, but this time, his jacket was a green one with small transparent patterns and a big white 10 on his back. Ken arrived at the table for lunch, finding his mother and sister. Kai and Gwendolyn Tennyson.
"Good morning mom, good morning sister." Ken greeted both of them who noticed the watch on his wrist. "So Daddy gave you back the Omnitrix? See if you're not going to do something reckless again."
"Not this time, sister. Kenny Tennyson's journey starts from now, and with a new team."
"Yes good guy, but don't forget and exalt yourself again, or this will be the last time you see the Omnitrix! Are we understood?"
"Yes, Mom. I promise!" Ken replied to his mother who returned a smile along with his sister. Ben joined the family for lunch. Everyone would make small talk and talk about their progress. Gwendolyn was following in her mother's footsteps and was called on a tour of Europe. Kai was proud and congratulated her.
"But we can't forget about Kenny here, I heard that he did well in the Plumbers' training and is already going to work in missions with his own group. Congratulations, son." Kai congratulated his youngest son who smiled a little embarrassed, but recovered. Ken glared at Ben, who gave him a proud smile.
"I'm not going to let you down. But Dad, who are the members of my group? Since it's going to be me and 2 others." Suddenly a noise at the door was heard by them, and they all directed their gazes to him, Kenny cracked a smile and walked over to his cousin and best friend."Devlin!?"
"Hey Tennyson, did you think you'd get rid of me? Got your Omnitrix back? Cool, I just hope You're not a pushover again."
"Forget about it. Then you're going to be one of my partners. Play here, brother." They made their own burrow here and ended up in a hug. Devlin was a little older and taller than Kenny. Wearing a black sweatshirt and pants and white shoes, and her traditional hair shaved down the sides and a large ponytail and green eyes.
"Do you know who the next member is?" From Ken's face, Devlin shouldn't have even asked. "They kept secrets even in that. This training is a box of surprises."
"Yes, at no time did I see you in the training sessions at the Plumbers' base."
"You know, my mom also wanted me to focus on my studies, but my dad was able to convince her... So here I am. Hello, Uncle Ben, Aunt Kai and Gwendolyn."
"Welcome to the team, Devlin, but the other member are a little late. But get ready for the surprise."
"Huh?"
*Knock Knock*
"She's here. Boys, welcome your new partner!" When Ben opened the door, Ken and Devlin were surprised to see the blonde girl with blue eyes, straight hair, and wearing a red jacket and a medium skirt and boots. She had a small smile on her face and came in to greet them.
"Kenny Tennyson and Devlin Levin. It's a pleasure to meet you in person. My name is Elizabeth, but since this group doesn't have normal humans. I'm going to show you my true form!" His body began to glow an intense pink, and then his fake body was on the ground and his true form exposed. She was an Anodite.
"Damn..." Ken and Devlin commented in unison. Elizabeth then returned to her human body.
"Well boys, the team is formed. Take the time to get to know each other better, and at 3 p.m. I want to see you at the Plumbers' base."
"Understood, Dad."
"Right Uncle Ben."
"As you wish, Ben."
Ben, Kai, and Gwendolyn have withdrawn to settle the issue of Kenny's sister's trip to Europe. Then Ken invited them to the playroom to talk better. The room contained various electronic devices, 3D simulations, and more. Elizabeth looked at everything with a little surprise in her eyes. Devlin was already picking a game for him and Kenny to take the record-breaking tiebreaker.
"Welcome to Earth, Elizabeth. I don't even need to introduce myself since you've read the files, do you?"
"Yes, but it's actually not my first time on Earth. I've been here for about 4 years. I liked the earthly culture. And at your earthly age, I'm 15 years old. But it was enough to know the great diversity of cultures that you have, and now with Aliens and humans even closer, it's even better."
"Yes, change always begins at the bottom, and from what my father says, it all began with the Sovereigns and extended to the discovery of the City below. Now be it humans, mutants and aliens, they all live in peace, but the Plumbers exist to maintain it. You never know what tomorrow will bring."
"Hey Tennyson, now that you've earned the Omnitrix again, turn into some Alien there again. For the sake of old times."
"Interesting suggestion Devlin. On my planet we hear a lot about the Omnitrix thanks to Ben Tennyson, I'm also a little curious." Ken looked at his watch and smiled and then put his fingers on the screen of the Omnitrix, then the wheel of aliens appeared to him, and really all the Aliens his father had said were there. Ken spun the wheel carefully to choose an Alien he hadn't transformed into yet. Then he stopped the selection and the core was exposed for him to press.
"As my father says, it's hero time!" Unlike Ben, Ken hit the core of the Omnitrix weaker, so the transformation passed in the blink of an eye for the two members present. Ken had then transformed into the Big Chill.
"So that's the Big Chill. From the information I have of him thanks to my father, he can become intangible!" It became intangible to test. "I can let out a freezing breath, as well as use my hands or my own body. Man, what an awesome Alien. Maybe it will become one of my favorites."
"Tennyson, isn't that the Alien who has the predator that hypnotizes him? Will if I do the rattlesnake dance I'll beat you? Hahaha, that would go down in history." Big Chill stared at him and let his hand intangible and went through the couch he was sitting on and froze his ass. "Hey, ouch, Ahhhh, it's cold as fuck. Tennyson!!"
"It's cold there, Devlin. You're too hot, I just wanted to cool you down a little more." Big Chill smiled, but Devlin stepped off the ice and absorbed the ground, showing his power.
"You're kidding the wrong person, Tennyson. You want a punch in the face?"
"You can try Devlin!" And before they went on top of each other, Elizabeth separated them with her magical barrier. "Don't try to kill yourself before some super villain has a chance. That gives you more points on the hero resume, don't you think?"
"Hero resume? I thought you only beat up bad men and were recognized... So let's stop here, Devlin."
"Yes, but don't even try another stupid thing like that, Tennyson." At that moment, the Omnitrix turned Ken back into a human, and from the way he looked at it, it felt really good.
"Man, I'm looking forward to using this in action again. And this time with better Aliens. And with my new team. We're going to get along really well."
"I agree with you Ken. I hope this journey together is a lot of fun. And I hope to get to know you both even better." Ken put his hand forward, and was followed by Devlin and Elizabeth, thus formalizing the new team.
"We have some time before we go to the Plumbers' base. Anyone want to go get Mr. Smoothy?"
"That drink Ben Tennyson likes? I would like to taste and see how diverse the flavors of Earthling drinks are."
"Just don't get addicted to it girl, I really don't know what you guys see in that drink. Bad thing." the three of them left the base and headed towards Mr. Smoothy. Devlin preferred to sit this one out, while Ken and Elizabeth asked for exotic flavors. Ken ordered a strawberry and Elizabeth ordered a mango. They both went back to Devlin enjoying the Smoothy. "Man, this is so good art. What did you think, Elizabeth?"
"Really, this has a unique twist. It has its charm and is a totally memorable taste. I think I'll come here more often to try other flavors. You should try Devlin."
"I'm out. I don't drink that even if they paid me. Not even for the nicer car than my father's, I still wouldn't drink!"
"You’re a little stingy." He finished his smoothy and sat down on the bench to relax and enjoy the view. Who knew a whole year waiting for this moment. He looked at his wrist again and looked at the watch... In his head in his spare moments, he sees himself transforming into the other Aliens to understand even more of them. However, something went through his head. "... no, I don't have any reason to do so at this point... Who knows, maybe someday." Elizabeth had finished her Smoothy and Devlin watched, until a call was heard by the Omnitrix, and the trio watched, until a call from Rook Blonko appeared.
"Magistrate Blonko!" The three of them said in unison.
"Hello Kenny, Devlin and Elizabeth. I hope I'm not getting in your way, but I need you here now! Sooner than we expected, can I count on you?"
"You can always count on us. We'll be there in 2 minutes." Rook waved and turned off the broadcast, then Kenny stared at his two friends. They were already ready. "Beauty team, this is our chance. Let's do our best and be better!"
"I'm dying to break someone's face. Hah, this is going to be a lot of fun!" Devlin stated to himself. Elizabeth, on the other hand, said nothing, but stared at them with a calm, smiling expression. The three of them exited Mr. Smoothy where they went straight to the Ben 10,000 tower and headed straight to the portal. "It's all or nothing..." Kenny said before the green light engulfed them and teleported them to the plumbers' base. And there was Rook Blonko waiting for them.
"Welcome, official cadets. Let's get the details started!"
