seokjin has lost his vision for a long time that he doesn't remember the exact time. but, he remember he was about his seven or eight when his family's car flipped after being hit by a car with drunken driver. he doesn't even remember how blue or red is. his father and mother's faces are all blurry like beige smoke in his brain. and all he sees is black. but being a son of loving and caring parents, finally he's told that he's going to be able to see again. seokjin cries then, telling his parents how grateful he is.
kim namjoon, his personaly ophthalmologist, has an interesting voice. he has such, if voice had form, a handsome one. it's manly, it's a bit hoarse, low and soothing. the voice always sends a series of pleasant vibration to seokjin's spine. that when he really can't wait to see how dr. kim looks like.
the dr. kim is in charge to take care of his eyes and the upcoming surgery seokjin's going to have. and as the time goes by, seokjin finds himself falling in love more and more with the young doctor's personality.
it's on their sixth month that the doctor, surprisingly, confesses his feeling to seokjin. out of the blue. seokjin didn't even have a single clue. and of course he says yes. he feels a pair of soft lips pressing down on his. and, wow, so that's how a first kiss feels like.
to say seokjin's not scared may be a complete lie because he, of course, is scared. what if the surgery fails? what if he doesn't make it? what if he opens his eyes later, he'll still see dark? all the questions are swirling on his mind, but then, namjoon's soothing voice comes to his ears.
"hyung, i want you to take a deep breath and let yourself relax. can you do that for me?"
"i'm scared, namjoon... "
"i'm always here with you," seokjin hears a soft smile in namjoon's voice. and then two seconds of kiss, "now, we'll start, okay? take a deep breath."
seokjin feels something pressing against the lower half of his face, and he takes a deep breath.
he feels his mind becomes hazy. and then blank.
the first time he opens his eyes after the bandages have been removed from his eyes, he sees a very, very, handsome man in front of him. when the man introduces himself and says, "you won't break me up now, will you? even though, maybe, i'm not as good-looking as you expected?"
seokjin thinks namjoon must be crazy.
even though seokjin hasn't seen people for a long time, it doesn't mean he can't tell what handsome and ordinary is. and namjoon is undoubtedly included in the former group. ash grey hair, dark orbs, sunkissed skin, dimpled smile, of course he's perfect. yes, namjoon's not as what seokjin expected, because he didn't think his boyfriend would be that handsome.
"so, what do you think about my look?" namjoon asks, spreading his arms to show himself.
"come here." seokjin orders instead. namjoon complies in confusion. and then seokjin grabs namjoon's neck to pull him closer down for a long kiss.
oh, how namjoon doesn't have any idea how grateful seokjin to have such perfection as his boyfriend.
"i think i'd never let you go even if you begged me to." comes in breath from seokjin's lips against namjoon's.
the doctor chuckles, "good, because i'd never say that to you."
and they kiss again for a longer, passionate one.
seokjin thinks he loves the colorful fireworks exploding behind his eyelids.
