Work Text:

When Tye Loe met his mentor Corina for the first time, he questioned her height, the way certain saints were like around her and why she always wore a black dress which reached her knees. It wasn’t long before Corina explained to her student that some men begin as girls and some women begin as boys, with her being one of these women.

Tye Loe expected to be more confused, but he wasn’t. After that day, Tye Loe no longer questioned his mentor, but instead saw her how she was: a brave woman.

During the war, Tye Loe met a woman named Petal. She looked familar to Tye Loe, but he couldn’t tell why. It wasn’t until Tye Loe mentioned an old friend he had before the war that he realised his mistake. Tye Loe had known Petal before, but back then, she wasn’t Petal. They only spent a week working together before they went their separate ways.

Tye Loe never did see Petal after that day, but he never forgot about her either.

For the past fifteen years, Tye Loe had spent his time taking care of his Titanson. He tried his best to care for the boy, but it was difficult to do so while living in a tiny little apartment in a shady area of the city.

When Tye loe returned home, he could hear crying from the room he had given for his Titanson. It sounded like someone was trying to be quiet while crying, but was failing terribly.

He entered the room with a single knock on the door and was met with the realization of who was really in the bedroom: a pair of heels on the ground, smudged makeup that kept falling down her face, the long red dress that reached the ground.

Tye Loe smiled: he didn’t have a Titanson, he never did.

He had a Titandaughter.

Tye Loe handed the teenager a tissue to wipe her tears and makeup, letting her speak her mind about who she truly was. Tye Loe didn’t know how long the two of them were there before, all he could remember was embracing his Titandaughter as her cries slowly ended.

Tye Loe didn’t really know a lot about what his Titandaughter was going through, but he didn’t care, she’s his Titandaughter now, what she was before didn’t matter anymore.

And as he sat there, holding her, Tye Loe swore he felt the spirit of Corina smiling down at him.

Notes:

Thanks for reading!
Sorry it's so short, it was for a competition for my school and before anyone asks, a Titanson/Titandaughter is basically a Godson/Goddaughter.
