Work Text:

Three weeks. Three weeks Alex has been thinking about that damn D-Tier villain that not only made it into his base without being noticed by him but also made it to their collection of trophies from fights before Alex ever even sensed someone was in his base. It was even more frustrating because they talked circles around Alex, but also made jabs at him and called his trophy room a horde and he just let them. So of course, Alex was so frustrated. Dressing to go out? Thinking of them. Eating pizza? Thinking of them. Rearranging their trophy room? THINKING OF THEM!

Alex went to see his parents when he felt so driven up the wall that everything in his head was nothing but them. He appeared in the living room, scaring the absolute shit out of his father. He spilled his sweet tea on his lap.

“Ah! Gahdamnit!” He sighed and his mom all but materialized into the living room. She relaxed immediately upon seeing her sweet little son. “Alex… can’t ya use the door?” His father asked Alex snapped a roll of paper towels as he sheepishly helped his dad clean up.

“Sorry sorry.” Both of his parents paused, looking at him.

“Uh oh. Think our boy got somethin’ goin on.” His mother came over to him, his father taking the paper-towels from him and his mother gently brushing her fingers through his hair.

“What’s on your mind hon?” She asked gently. Alex huffed with a pout.

“I just keep thinking about someone…” His parents shared a look.

“Oh? You find yerself a little crush?” His dad wiggled his eyebrows at him. Alex groaned.

“Nooo dad! Look, it’s like this.” Alex recounted his encounter with this D-Tier, 4 on a good day, villain. How they were just so… odd. Different from anyone he’s ever met. That they were able to hold eye contact and barely had any reaction. Sure, yeah, their heart was beating at a million miles an hour, but Alex couldn’t tell if it was fear or excitement. That their eyes were a green color it reminded him of vibrant forest moss. Their hair was a mess of loose curls and unkempt, rumpled clothes.

Alex was going into some seriously deep description of what this person looked like and, unknown to him, his parents were looking at each other trying not to giggle about their son definitely having a big crush right now.

When Alex finished; he sighed. “So yeah, I just keep thinking about them. That’s like, so impressive. Not even the most hardened heroes could do what they did.” His mother hummed in thought, and his father rubbed his chin.

“Well, why don’t you go find ‘em? Take ‘em out somewhere.” His father recommended.

“I could, but what if they don’t even remember me?!” Alex could feint from embarrassment if that happened.

“Alex honey, it’d be pretty hard to forget who you are.” His mother comforted.

“I’m going to be wearing my disguise! They might not recognize me! And they I’ll have to explain! Ugh that’d be so embarrassing.” Both his parents stare at him as he puts his face in his hands.

“Alex, buddy… if this person was cunning enough ta break into that base of yers in the middle of a barren frozen desert, managin’ to get deep into said base without yer knowing, and talkin’ their way out, then I don’t think they will not recognize ya.” His dad said, as if it was the most obvious thing.

“Your father is right. This person sounds smart enough to know it’s you, even if in disguise.” Alex sniffled dramatically.

“You think so?” He looked at them with watery eyes. They both smiled at their little drama queen son.

                  “‘Course!!” His father exclaimed.

                  “Yes baby.” His mother soothed.

“How should I approach then? Just… walk up to them? Pretend I was in the same place same time? Maybe I could cause some kind of disaster and we both get stuck together and have to talk!”

“Or you could just go with the first half. Approach them, talk to them, charm them a bit. Maybe get their number. You could bring them somewhere as well.” His mother gave him good ideas. Well, one idea.

“I got it! I know how I’ll talk to them!” His parents' eyes widened.

“Wait Alex! -” but it was too late, he was gone.

Morgan stared at the selection of canned food. Chef Manardy was always good for a quick meal. He already had a few things in some hidden pockets of his big, oversized jacket. This is such a hard decision… suddenly, the air shifted. Morgan quickly looked to the side coming face to face with the S-Tier… He was wearing glasses… does he think that’s a good disguise… for a moment they stared at one another, then Alex grinned menacingly. Oh fuck he’s going to kill me for breaking into his base.

                  “Hey…” Morgan awkwardly greeted.

“Hello!” Alex said happily, and then the world shifted as they were scooped up into the S-Tiers arms, bridal style.

“Uh, whatcha doing buddy?” Alex looked down at Morgan who looked up at him.

“What do you mean?” Alex blinked at him.

“Is there… a reason you’ve picked me up like this?”  They questioned a bit more descriptively.

“Oh, yeah, I’m kidnapping you.” He replied, as if it was obvious.

“What.” It wasn’t even a question from them, more like a shocked exclaim.

“Yeah! Kidnapped you!” He stated again.

“Wh… why though?” Morgan was now more confused than before.

“Do you not want to be kidnapped?” Alex raised a brow.

                  “I mean… if I’ve got a choice, no.”

“Hah, too bad cause you don’t have the choice!” He grinned, while it looked like it was a menacing one, Morgan realized that he wasn’t trying to be menacing. Alex was just excited. They sighed.

“Okay, fine, but first, grab a cart and put as many of those Chef Manardy’s in the cart that will fit.” Alex looked to the Chef Manardy then back to Morgan.

                  “Uh, why?”

“You’re interrupting my shopping! I might as well exploit you for multiple months worth of meals before you whisk me away!!” Alex smiled.

I think I want to spend forever with this ratman…
