When Shay told Tally that Cleapatra was actually not beautiful and made herself beautiful with her wit, Shay believed that steamnet. That beauty is acquired through skill but actually looks themselves. Now though. . .she is not sure.
Dont get Shay wrong, it was not as though she was now all for the pretty surgery but there something else there.
To be almost blunt, when Shay meet Tally after the whole bombdivding incident she thought it would be one of those times. Hearing her tale and seeing the proof of it was something that made her seem of the utmost beauty and intellect.
Then she got to really know Tally and was quite disappointed with the result of it. Tally was just the normal follower most people in this society are forced to take to role to. No insight into anything interesting of the sort, just throwing up the same sort of thing we were all told to believe.
But Tallys beauty never died with this discovery.
Cleapatra was stating and holding onto her own country and putting down foot to stop the change. Tally doing much the same.
So maybe Cleapatra was just a classic beauty.
And maybe so is Tally.
