"Were this the Shadow from a while ago, this wouldn’t have gone well. The appearance of this woman would’ve sent him into a spiral, blonde hair reminding him too much of someone else, blue outfit warping into being stained with red in the eyesight of his memories, the sight of the Star Bits and night sky surrounding them reminding him too much of the fall from space. He’d have had to excuse himself with short breaths and shaking hands, leaving the woman to wonder what happened.
He’s not exactly the same Shadow from a while ago, though."
