To Kill Or Not To Kill

Summary:

Roier meets a vampire in an alley and it doesn't go exactly as he expects it to go.

Chapter 1: You Don't Want A Taste?

Summary:

Roier doesn't mind dying to a Vampire. He couldn't save his son from a vampire, why should he save himself, especially if the vampire is kind of attractive?

Chapter Text

The man's teeth hover near his neck and Roier can't bring himself to care. His son had died in a vampire attack weeks before and Roier couldn't stop it. He was too slow, and he froze when it mattered most. Now, here he was pinned to the wall of some back alley, by a vampire with his arm pressed into his chest, and Roier was not even bothering to try and escape. Unless the vampire was starving to the point his body was failing, it was not like Roier stood a chance.

At least the vampire was handsome; Roier thought to himself. Sure, Roier didn't get a long look at the other before he was being slammed against the wall, but he knew the other was handsome from the brief glimpse he did get before the man hovered above his neck. Now all he could see was the brown hair of the man.

"This is when people normally scream." The man says, not pulling away from where he hovered above Roier’s neck, the wind of his words ghosting against Roier’s neck.

"But I'm not afraid of you." Roier replied, just wanting the man to just kill him already.

"Are you not afraid to die?" The man asks, pulling away from Roier's neck and looking him in the eyes.

Roier is almost mesmerized by the icy blue stare of the other man but gets distracted by how human the vampire looks. The dark circles under his eyes make it look as if he had had one too many late nights, but it wasn't like vampires needed to sleep. At least as far as Roier knew vampires didn't need to sleep. Roier was right about the man being handsome and the white streak of hair that sat prominently at the front of his hair seemed to make him even more attractive. Roier couldn't help but glance at the man's lips and wonder what they would look like covered in his blood. The man coughs, obviously uncomfortable at the silence and possibly how Roier was examining him.

"Death comes for us all eventually, no?" Roier asks, instead of answering the man's question.

The man examined him, tilting his head a bit as his eyes scanned over Roier's face. He bit his lip in thought and Roier can see his sharp fangs and is once again reminded of how time has stopped for the handsome man pinning him to the wall.

"Maybe not for all of us but certainly for me." Roier adds.

The man in front of him hums, biting his lips. His fangs seem to dig in a bit too harshly and he winces before running his tongue over his lips. Roier wonders how long the man has been a vampire if he still makes mistakes like biting his own lips.

"You are not afraid of me, why?"

"Maybe because you are too handsome to be afraid of, Gatinho." Roier flirts, might as well have a bit of fun if he is going to die soon.

The man rolls his eyes before he smirks. "Try again, Guapito."

"After seeing my son die to vampires I don't fear much." Roier answered, honestly this time.

The other man seems shocked for a moment, but it passes quickly that Roier can't be sure if it's the shadows of the alleyway messing with his mind. Roier closes his eyes and leans against the wall.

"Just get it over with if you are going to kill me." Roier says, his voice just above a whisper.

Roier feels the weight of the man's arm leave his chest and he snaps his eyes open.

"Qué?"

"Do you want to find the vampires that killed your son?"

"What?"

"Do you want to help kill the vampires that killed your son?" The man repeats.

"I wouldn't be able to kill them before they killed me." Roier replied, frowning.

"I didn't say you would be doing it alone."

"Like someone would be willing to help me kill a pack of vampires."

The man raised his eyebrow.

"You have no reason to help me." Roier argued. "My blood is more useful for you than I am."

"That is true, but I don't think killing children is something that can be excused and I need your help finding the ones responsible."

"I'm supposed to believe that coming from a vampire, that I don't know the name of, who was just trying to drink my blood?" Roier asks, crossing his arms. "You have to tell me something for me to trust you."

The man sighs. "My name is Cellbit and I need to take care of the vampires that killed your son because I have my own son who could be in danger if I don't."

Roier looks at Cellbit and how his face softens when he mentions his son. Roier almost wants to ask how a vampire had a kid, but he holds onto the question for later- if he manages to actually survive this interaction.

"Bueno, Cellbit, I am Roier and I'm wondering now how I am supposed to trust that you won't kill me for my blood at the first chance you get."

"I haven't bitten you yet, have I?"

Roier tilts his neck so that more skin is shown in a teasing manner. Sure, he could be taunting the man who is eventually going to kill him but with the way Cellbit's eyes glance over him with something other than hunger for blood Roier is almost certain he won't die today; or at least if he does that Cellbit won't let him fully die. Roier can't find himself to care if Cellbit would keep him by his side forever.

"Roier." Cellbit states in a warning tone.

Roier smirks. "¿Qué? Gatinho. You don't want a taste?"

Roier doesn't fail to notice how Cellbit's eyes linger on his neck before Cellbit closes his eyes for a moment as if he was grounding himself before he shakes his head. Roier winks when Cellbit opens his eyes again and Cellbit turns around not acknowledging the flirtation.

"It's too dangerous. Come on, Guapito, we have some vampires to hunt down.”
