Jin was tired. After his super cool traumatic experience, he was left homeless and poor. But, he was soon approached by a fancily dressed man. Less approached and more of.. Walked past him. But instead of talking to a stranger (first rule Ma taught him), he instead ran. In the opposite direction.
Man, that was smart of us! We prolly would’ve gotten kidnapped. Or maybe he was a cop.
Or, y’know, a normal person and we were overreacting. Maybe he would’ve helped us?
Both of ya, shut it! The news said it would be freezing tonight. We gotta find somewhere to stay.
He stumbled down the streets. Where was he? Did it matter? All he knew was that he saw an alleyway. One that had enough garbage bags to conceal himself and in no way shape or fashion hopefully keep him warm. He slowly made his way into the alley, flopping down on some cardboard and sweeping away all the needles (yuck) and other sharp things.
This sucks.
Not as much as your mom.
Rude! 1. All of us have the same mom, and 2. Respect the dead, man!
La, La, La~ Can’t hear you~!
Both of you, shut up! I’m trying to sleep. Don’t make this untreatable illness worse than it has to be.
He slowly closed his eyes, his brain shutting down as he fell deeper into sleep. He looked and felt pathetic, laying down in the garbage filled alleyway next to an apartment, where others were probably perfectly warm and happy.
Gentle Criminal supposed his track record of taking in strays wouldn’t end at La Brava. He mused potentially taking the man in front of him to some other homeless shelter, but decided that it would be best to not leave the man with an unpayable debt to all the homeless shelters around them.
He carefully picked up the man, carefully eyeing the needles around him. Was he okay? Dangerous, perhaps? He sighed, carrying the man up to his apartment and opening the door.
“La Brava? Can you brew some Tea, please?” He called, laying the man on the couch. The young woman ran through the door to the kitchen, not paying any mind to the limp man on the couch.
She liked making tea. It was her second favorite thing, behind Making Videos. And Gentle. So, her third favorite thing. The bubbling of the water and the way the leaves disintegrated into the water made her feel happy. Soon enough, she brought the tea pot and cups out for herself, Gentle, and… the man on the couch.
Why was he wearing a paper bag?
After the day he had stayed with them, Jin felt well rested and 100% (enough) that he thanked them and left. It had been a few weeks since then, maybe two. It was weird. He never knew that people would be so kind to someone like him. He decided that if he encountered them and they needed help, he would help them. It was the least he could do, right?
As he was walking down the street, a sudden noise disrupted his walk. It sounded like high heeled boot hitting a steel beam or structure. Shouts and yelps echoed from the same direction of the steel-shoe noise, meaning that people were probably in trouble.
He ran over to the scene of the crime. He saw a vaguely familiar silver-haired man, battling it out with one of those UA kids. And a pink-haired girl with pigtails. Curse his horrible memory, why were they so familiar?! As he runs over to the scene, he thinks about it.
Before remembering. They were the people who helped him and gave him tea! But much more extravagantly dressed. Still the same people, dummy! Stop arguing! We gotta help them!
Even when he tried his hardest, they had battled their way into the forest surrounding UA. Meaning that he had to run into a completely different direction. But he was persistent!
He ran into the forest to try and help his friends.
We don’t have friends.
Gentle Criminal was exhausted.
Not only was the green child he was fighting very persistent and annoying, his savior was too. The man who has a bag over his head had showed up at their door only two weeks before, and had insisted on helping them at some point for their hospitality. (Curse himself and his wonderful tea making!)
Though, he was useful. Mr. Bubaigawra (Or Jin, as he insisted to be called.) must be a rather faithful man, considering how much of a distraction he was being to the highschooler. It allowed Gentle Criminal to take a short rest and convene with La Brava.
“Gentle! That man’s really good at fighting, but I don’t think he’ll be able to keep fighting with how much of a beat-down he’s taking!” She squealed, running over. “He’ll get knocked out if he keeps going!”
“And I suppose it’s our duty to help him, as his hosts.” Gentle Criminal sighed. “Well then, let’s grab him and make a run for UA.”
He used his quirk to oh-so-fabulously jump into the battle, using the air to block the teen’s punches and to successfully grab his guest. “Allow us to make our escape, Mr. Jin!”
“Air-Man! You saved me! I’m not thanking you! ” The man said, starting to run alongside Gentle Criminal. He had to admit, he was… strange. Always contradicting himself and stumbling over his words. (and various body parts) Thought, he was useful in a fight.
“Alright, so, I’m gonna start throwing things at him.”
“What-”
Before he could even register what the man had said, Jin began to clone various objects and throwing them at the young man. A net, knives, various cans and bottles, toys, and other objects wizzed past them and hit the child in the face. Though, there was no way this would have an actual effect on the child’s resolve based on what Gentle knew of his pers-
One of the objects (a wooden children’s block toy, to be exact) knocked straight into the teenager’s nose. Blood poured from it, and the hero-in-training fell to the ground. Jin whooped in surprise while simultaneously screaming in horror.
“Hell Yeah! We beat that teenager! HOLY GOSH I BROKE HIS NOSE-” He pumped his fist in the air. La Brava stared in shock, with Gentle Criminal holding his hand on her shoulder. They slowly backed away while Jin collected himself.
“...should we just…continue our plan without him?’ La Brava whispered into Gentle’s Ear. She was mostly unharmed (physically) and was just scared of their guest.
“..uh.. We’ll just let you know if we need backup!” Gentle called to the man, picking up La Brava and leaping away. It appeared his mission would go perfectly fine, with that brat out of the way.
And Jin was just deciding what to do with the body.
