Amanda felt a sob welling in her throat but forced it down. Dr. Gordon and Detective Sing watched her like sharks stalking their next meal. Preparing to tear her limb from limb and feast on her flesh. The metal chair she sat in felt much too familiar, and when she lay her wrists on the armrests, she felt like she was back in that room, bound tightly, fate sealed like that of a lamb to slaughter.
