Suddenly, the distance between them was closed, and the vampire was inches away, eyes boring holes right through his own, yet Regulus couldn't look away.
“What's your name, baby?” The vampire asked, and Regulus was confident he would have melted if he could move.
“Regulus.” He spilled seemingly involuntarily, swallowing at the pet name as an afterthought. “And yours?”
“You can call me James.” James half whispered, “Do you want me to kill you, Regulus?”
