Summer was ending, the salty ocean breeze still lingered in Dazai's nose. It was only a matter of time until he had to leave for college. His luggages were already packed up thanks to Chuuya, and tomorrow was the day he had to leave. He knew he would reunite with Chuuya again, but now wasn't the time.
The sound of the train tracks came to a stop. The two hugged as much as they could before Dazai stepped onto the train. They looked into each other's eyes before Dazai blew onto the window, fog covering his reflection. He drew a small heart as the train started to leave again. As Dazai looked outside the train's window, he could see Chuuya running along with the train until he couldn't anymore.
Summertime came after five years, the cornerstone they first met each other at was occupied again, but it was for a reunion this time. Chuuya never changed, his freckles still clear, his eyes still blue like the ocean's waves; Dazai also kept his candlelit smirk. They knew they would see each other again, but they underestimated their longing for each other.
In a cottage far from the city, the outskirts of Japan more accurately, lived and loved a happy couple. A new summer came as the foster child they adopted walked hand in hand with the two.
