Steve stares up at the ceiling, clenching his jaw and counting in his head, ten…eleven…twelve and– yep, right on time. Steve sighs loudly as Robin’s snore rings out loudly around them, echoing off the walls and making his whole body clench with tension. He thumps his head back into his pillow and kicks his foot out, nudging Robin’s shin. She doesn’t even flinch. Just lets out another loud snore, her mouth hanging open, a little trail of drool soaking into her pillow.
Steve mutters to himself. “ How do you not wake up when someone is kicking you?”
He starts counting again. Gets all the way to fifteen , hope bubbling in his chest that maybe she’ll finally stop when–
‘ SRNKK–’
Steve groans rolling over and grabbing Robin’s shoulder, shaking her roughly. Robin’s eyes fly open, her face scrunching in confusion. “What–”
“TURN OVER OR SOMETHING!”
Robin reaches out and smacks her hand over Steve’s mouth, shushing him and shaking her head. “Why are you yelling at me? I’m trying to sleep!”
Steve scoffs, pushing her hand away and swatting her arm. “I wish I could say the same! You’ve been snoring for two hours! ”
Robin’s face drops in offense and she swats him back. “I do NOT snore, Steven!”
Steve huffs out an annoyed laugh. “Guess there’s a fucking bear in the room with us then.”
Robin tuts, her hand flashing out to smack his arm again but he grabs her wrist, holding onto it as she tries to pull it away. “Stop hitting me!”
Robin kicks his shin, still trying to get use of her arm, trying to pry his fingers off with her other hand and– now they’re just full on wrestling, limbs getting tangled in the blankets.
Robin shrieks when Steve rolls them over, pinning her to the bed with a huff. “QUIT! I WANT TO GO TO BED!”
Robin scoffs, wiggling and trying to get out from underneath him. “YOU’RE CRUSHING ME!” She flails around, her knee accidentally clipping Steve between his legs and–
“ UNNF–FUCK.” Steve slumps over, curling in a ball with a groan.
Robin’s hand flutters over his shoulder, her voice frantic. “Oh– shit. Steve– Fuck! I’m sorry. Did I– Are you okay? Is your uh–”
Steve holds his hand up to silence her rambling, turning his head to glare at her. “ OW.”
A strangled laugh catches in Robin’s throat, her hand flying up to cover her mouth.
Steve flips her off, shifting carefully, trying to get comfortable again. “Yeah, yeah. Very funny. You just squashed my balls. Thanks for that.”
Robin’s face scrunches in disgust. “ Ew! ” She shrugs, “This is your fault. You shouldn’t have woken me up.”
Steve’s mouth falls open with a squeak. “I just wanted you to stop snoring!”
Robin rolls her eyes. “I don’t snore! ”
