“Let me go,” Hunter growls, wrenching away from Crosshair’s grip.
Crosshair doesn’t let him get far, catching him by the shoulder and slamming him against the wall, pinning him there bodily. “You’re not the only one who’s grieving, Hunter,” he snarls lowly, “It was my child, too.”
They may have lost their child, but Crosshair will be damned if he loses Hunter, too.

Though the pregnancy was an accident, Hunter didn’t regret it. How could he? He can’t deny what Crosshair means to him. But the child doesn’t make it, or so Nala Se tells him. Forcibly transitioned from omega to alpha, Hunter has to cope with his new designation as well as grief for the child he never got to know.
