Chapter Text
Some might say we’re released, pushing daisies deceased, but we all know the worms must be fed.
Theres just one lingering fear that stuck with you since you landed in Hell..
Your soul. Is it here? Or is it rotting somewhere with your head?
Oh my soul…
Oh my soul..
Oh my soul.

“—useful to the hotel. What do you think?”
You suddenly looked up at the girl in front of you. A small clink was heard as you tilted your head. Right, the princess of Hell was standing in your office.
Charlie Morningstar, she had successfully redeemed a soul not to long ago, and now she was pleading for your assistance. You don’t know exactly why she wants you of all people, but only the lord knows why.
You can only assume that she seeks your help since you have a reputation of helping sinners out, they would trade their soul in order for your protection whenever they were in serious danger.
“I think you have a lovely idea, darling.” You started speaking in a comforting tone, the girl in front of you started looking disappointed. Ah.. Why not help out a bit? Your schedule is flexible enough.
“I would love you help you out.” Charlie immediately jumped up, hugging you with so much energy that you thought your porcelain body would crack.
“Oh thank you, you’re going to love it so much!”
Oh how I hope so.

Charlie pushed the hotels heavy doors open, you stepped inside, your heels clicking against the cool marble of the floor.
The hotel had been rebuilt a bit ago, you could tell that Lucifer helped rebuild, his charm was all over the building. Truly, it was beautiful. You felt Charlie’s presence next to you once more as you stood still in the lobby.
“Guys! I have someone for you to meet!”
As if on queue, an odd group of people stood in front of the two of you. A man who looked like a housecat, a pink and while spider-looking demon, a woman who looked a lot like an angel, a small girl with one eye, and finally..
A tall man, his smile was large as he looked at you. The aura around the man dressed in red was dark, the tension was odd to say the least.
Before you could even speak, the tall man was standing in front of you.
“My name is Alastor! Pleasure to be meeting you, sweetheart! Quite a pleasure!” He spoke and the sound of radio static rung through his voice, now that you think about it, you could hear the static if you listened close enough.
“Jane, lovely to meet you darling.” Your voice was as sweet as honey, you held your porcelain hand out for Alastor to shake, but he brought your hand up slightly and then he placed a soft kiss to the back of your hand.
What a gentleman.
His presence felt oddly familiar, like you had known him before.. A long, long time ago. Now that you really think about it, his name sounds familiar too. How odd.

Eventually, you were introduced to everyone. Husk, the housecat, seemed to be the bartender, but he definitely doesn’t want to be here. The white spider was soon named Angel Dust, you recognized him from an interesting commercial you’d seen a few years ago.
Vaggie was very quickly named as Charlie’s girlfriend, they look truly darling together, and lasty, Niffty. The small girl resembles a needle, she was quite energetic and kept tapping your leg, enjoying the sound of your porcelain skin.
“So toots, are you who I think you are?” The spider demon spoke up, he was spread over one of the couches in the lobby as he spoke, his Italian accent prominent.
“Who do you believe I am, dear?” You spoke calmly, tilting your head with a small clink!
“Jane doe, crazy powerful fashion designer? What are you doing here, don’t you got a dress to sew?”
You just smiled, not caring for Angel’s rude attitude towards you when you had done nothing to him. “I’m afraid your dear Charlie has the answer to that.”
Charlie was quick to begin talking about you, but Alastor suddenly stood by your side. He leaned down to speak to you. “Why don’t I show you to a room, my dear?”
You accepted his offer with a smile, walking up the stairs and eventually the two of you stopped in front of a white door with gold accents.
“Here you are, darling. Charlie is adamant that you decorate however you’d like.” Alastor spoke with his cheery radio voice, holding the door open for you.
You stepped inside, the room was certainly a bit plain, nonetheless it is a place for you to rest and make your own. With a click of your heels, you turned back to Alastor.
“Thank you, dear. I do appreciate your kindness.” You couldn’t shake the way you felt so comfortable with him already, it was odd, you don’t know if you’ve seen him before, but you’re certain you’ve met him before.
Perhaps you knew him before.
“It is my pleasure, sweetheart.” He placed another soft kiss to your hand before leaving you to settle down. After a quick flick of the wrist, you used your power to decorate the plain room.
You had replaced almost everything in the room, including changing the wall accent colors to a softer shade of pink. By the time you finished, you stood in a room with royal decoration. It felt like you were standing in a castle.

“I didn’t think you would drink at all, aren’t dolls supposed to be perfect or sum?” Husk leaned against the counter of the bar as you took a sip of your red wine.
It’s been a week since you’ve arrived, its a bit late, but you and Husk enjoy each others company late at night when you finally finish a project and cannot sleep. Husk seems to always be drunk, or at least a little tipsy, you almost feel bad for the man.
“Well, I don’t believe drinking is a sign of imperfection.” You shrugged a bit, setting the glass down onto the counter.
Husk just hummed in response, he was looking past you, looking as tense as ever.
The tension in the air made you tilt your head, the faint sound of radio static filled your senses as you turned in your stool to see the almighty radio demon standing a few feet behind you.
“Why hello Husker! Jane, my dear, it is quite late. I did not expect you to be awake at such a late hour.” The man spoke with his usual smile, you smiled back at him, turning back to finish off your glass of wine.
“I was about to head off to bed, you have impeccable timing.” You giggled a bit, thanking Husk for the drink and standing up.
“Why don’t I walk you up to your room?” Alastor offered, he was certainly sweet to you. After seeing how he acted with the other residents, you thought he would be a bit rude to you, but you were quickly proven wrong.
You agreed, walking up with him to your room, your heels clicking softly against the ground as you walked together.
When the two of you reached your room, a smile continued to sit on Alastor’s face as he opened the door for you. “ Thank you, darling.” You spoke, a smile on your lips.
“Of course my dear, get some rest.” Alastor kissed your hand, walking down the hall and leaving you with your thoughts.
