"Look, Woz, I get you're used to this outfit, but if you're gonna try and live a normal life with us, you gotta get some new clothes."
Sougo had lead this discussion. Geiz and Tsukuyomi were on board with it as well. Ever since they had reunited with Woz and slowly gotten some memories of the past back, they had been living as a group of friends again. However, with Woz being, well Woz, they had one important thing to tackle.
Woz still wore the outfit he always had. And everyone always stared at him in public if the four of them tried to go out together. And now Woz was saying he wanted to try and live like how normal adults did and that was definitely not going to happen if something didn't change.
"I... need new clothes?" Woz repeated.
"Yes. You need to blend in if you want to start being a normal member of society like us." Sougo nodded.
"But... I don't know what to wear."
"We can go shopping and find some cool outfits for you. I'm sure we can find things your style but also more casual for this time. Does that sound good?" Tsukuyomi asked.
"I... I guess so." Woz agreed. He was nervous about this. He wasn't the best with change.
...
That was how Woz found himself in a shop the next day with Sougo, Geiz, and Tsukuyomi. They were all trying to be as helpful as possible in showing him different option of styles to wear. Woz had no idea what he wanted. He was trying, but nothing felt that nice yet. He was so used to his normal outfit. Nothing here was that similar to it.
They went through most of men's section, not finding much that Woz saw interest in. He did find a few shirts and pants that he was okay with being in. Some of the designs were quite cool, he had to admit.
"Well, it's a start." Geiz commented.
"Better than nothing, right?" Sougo said.
They started walking toward the checkout. Woz paused as they passed the women's section. His eyes landed on some of the dresses on display. The thought of trying them on was enticing.
"What's the hold up?" Tsukuyomi asked.
Woz hesitated, before he spoke. "Could I... try on a dress?"
"A dress?" Sougo repeated.
Woz nodded, looking a bit embarrassed. "I... have been very uncertain with my gender identity for many years now and... I've always wanted to sometimes be more feminine. Is that... wrong?"
"Why didn't you say so before? Come on, let's find a dress that'll fit you."
Woz was surprised by how fast all three of them accepted his words. He had been expecting to be called weird or a freak. The few he had told before hadn't reacted very well to his issue before. And yet, these three just accepted him saying he wanted to be feminine sometimes.
It was a bit of a struggle to find a dress that would work for Woz, but they did narrow a few down. Woz tried them on and felt happy about being in them. With the support from the others, he felt confident wearing one. They added two dresses to the clothes for him.
"So, do you have like a name for your identity or do you not really know how you would describe it?" Sougo asked Woz on the walk back.
Woz thought over his answer for a while. "I believe the term would be genderfluid. That seemed to be the one that described my feelings the best."
"Good for you. If anyone ever gives you a hard time, you let us know and we'll help."
"I- thank you."
