Drunk Text

Summary:

Sometimes we can’t get what we want.

Notes:

I thought of this scene as I was listening to drunk text by Henry Moodie. I hope you enjoy and it is quite short. MB.

Work Text:

As the rain falls onto the ground, we both gave our curtsies to one another.

My eyes softened as your eyes shine brighter than the glowing stars and the glowing lantern that surrounds us. Hands intertwining as if we were made for one another.

Our matched steps glided against the wet floor, our bodies held close to one another, our silence speaking a thousand words.

As if time has slowed, I wish the moment would last forever.

But we can’t always get what we want, can we?

Your smile, your being, your love.

If only they were mine.

Droplets of rain flowed down the window where my hand laid on the other side. My dreams being washed away, watching you smiling in someone else’s arms.

As long as you are happy, I am too. Though I wonder why my heart ache on the inside for you.
