It takes her a second. As the room fills itself with screams, while the two hybrids and the fiend stand up to fight; she just stands there. A combination of confusion and surprise, with a tinge of rage; swells up within her head.
He wasn’t lying. He told her to her damn face and it was REAL. How could she have known? How could she ever guess that THE Chainsaw Man was that stupid!?
Yoru screams to her ear. “I TOLD YOU!” And, to be honest, she did. It’s Asa’s fault that she didn’t get her “revenge” right then and there on the school rooftop. But she can’t bring herself to care, not now.
She thinks back to the day when he stood her up. Just how bad it felt. Just how angry she was. The feeling’s been on the back of her head for some time now, really… But now, she remembers that that was the very same night that Chainsaw Man saved her from the Falling Devil. And it’s all so complicated from there.
He talked like a teenager. By all means, the same kind as Denji. Wanted to have sex, “respected” women to a fault, while still acting like a damn cat towards men. “You can’t steal from a woman, you thief!” She remembers him saying.
“Girl, I know you’re having a moment right now, but it’s not the time for that! We need to fight!” Says Yoru to her, as the battle between the Katana and the Nail against the Public Safety dog goes on some feet away from her. She hums, somewhat annoyed but understanding; as she turns two of her nails into daggers.
Asa Mitaka stands up, looking away from Chainsaw– Denji’s face. She has to save him. Even if a part of her hates his human part, she knows for a fact that there’s good in him now. She can’t let Chainsaw Man down.
