Work Text:
Quackity awakes to the sound of giggling coming from the kitchen.
He had fallen asleep on the couch, well watching a movie with his fiancés.
He looks at the clock and notices it is two am. So he pulls himself off the couch, and to the kitchen to see what all the giggling is about.
“Sap, stop.” Karl says, as Quackity walks in, to Sapnap, playfully throwing flour at Karl.
“What’s going on in here?” Quackity asks.
“Hey, Q.” Sapnap says, putting the bag of flour back on the counter, “sorry we woke you up.”
“Naw, it’s fin-” Quackity starts, but is cut off as Karl shoves something in his mouth.
The taste hit’s his tongue, before he can register what just happened. It’s sweet, and still warm, most likely having come from the oven recently, the chocolate chips still melted slightly.
“You like it?” Karl asks.
Quackity grabs the cookie with his hand and takes a bite, then swallows, “yes, this is amazing.” he says then takes another bite.
“Thanks, we made them just for you.” Karl says.
Quackity swallows, “oh shit, did i forget something?” He asks.
“No.” Karl says, simply.
“You fell asleep, and he wanted to surprise you with cookies.” Sapnap says, pulling the tray of baked cookies out of the oven, wearing the stupid cartoon flame oven mitts, that match the white apron, with a carton fire asleep, Quackity and Karl got him for his birthday.
“You're so cute when you sleep, I did not want to wake you.” Karl says, walking back over to the counter to put more dough on the empty tray.
“Where did you get the recipe?” Quackity asks, “I thought we don't have any baking cookbooks yet.”
“Sapnap memorized it.” Karl says, as Sapnap put, the tray now full of dough, in the oven.
“Contrary to popular belief, my dad does not only bake muffins.” Sapnap says, “we would make Skeppy try all the new recipes we did.”
“Do you know any muffin recipes?” Karl asks.
“My father is BadBoyHalo.” Sapnap says, “of course I know muffin recipes.”
“So do you only have chocolate chip?” Quackity asks.
Sapnap and Karl, both look at each other, then at Quackity.
“Just look in the cupboard by the fridge.” Sapnap says.
“Okay?” Quackity says, confused.
He walks up the cupboard that Sapnap says, and opens the door.
The shelves that were empty the day before, are now filled with plastic containers, all containing some form of cookie.
“Damn.” Quackity says, shutting the door, and looking at his fiancés.
“You never told us your favorite type of cookie.” Sapnap says, “so we made a lot of different kinds.”
“You could have just woke me up and asked me,” he says.
“But you look so cute when you're sleeping.” Karl says, taping Quackity’s nose with a flour cover finger.
“I would have been fine with you waking me up.” Quackity says, “It would have saved you the hassle of making all these cookies.”
“Karl is right though.” Sapnap says, “You are adorable when you're asleep.”
“You know what is really adorable?” Quackity asks, slowly inching closer to the other boys.
“What?” Karl asks.
“You're covered in flour!” Quackity yells, throwing the handful of flour he had behind his back at his fiancés.
Sapnap just stands there, blinking, attempting to comprehend what just happened, as Karl luges for the bag of flour.
“Oh you're on!” Karl yells, grabbing a fist full of flour.
This pulls Sapnap out of his reverie, “did he just-” he says, but is cut off, by Quackity throwing more flour at him, this time nailing his apron.
“Oh you totally did not just, Karl give me some of that!” He yells, grabbing a handful of flour, from the bag on the counter next to Karl.
“Oh my!” Quackiy yells, as he dodges a shot from Karl.
Quackity turns to run from them, around the kitchen island, and Sapnap nails him in his wings.
“Mis amores, not the wings!” Quackity yells.
“Fine.” Sapnap says, hitting Karl in his hair with more flour.
“Sap!” Karl says, Voice full of fake betrayal, “You dare flour me?” he says, then sprinkles the flour in his right hand into Sapnap’s hair.
“Wha-, Karl!” Sapnap says, then grab for more flour.
Karl grabs the bag and bolts.
Sapnap and Quackity make a look at each other saying, ‘get him’
The two boys chase after Karl, who is throwing flour from the bag behind him, at them, well running around the kitchen island
