   Summary

   “We aren’t like the Black family after all.”  Nearly always said in jest, Rabastan could never admit that his feelings for Hermione had been slightly stronger and inappropriate for what someone should feel for their own cousin.  Learning her identity had been a lie didn’t make him feel any less ashamed for his actions and how he hurt her over the years.  Given the chance to see her again for the first time in nearly twenty years, he almost wishes he could slam the door in her face.  He doesn’t want her to see him like that.
