Everyone in the school knew Yeonjun’s crush.
And that is, Choi Soobin.
And Soobin is very aware by that.

Yeonjun walked towards the crowded school hallway, students yelling, screaming, and pushing around, but he doesn’t mind, his only goal is to find him and give him the cookies he made.
It’s not like it’s Soobin’s birthday, but he just wants to give him a sweet treat.
And finally after escaping the crowd, he spotted him in an empty classroom.
As always he looks so handsome as ever, Yeonjun can’t tear off his eyes from him.
He’s too pretty. Or that’s what he thinks.
He entered the empty classroom where Soobin was sitting peacefully while doing his notes.
“Soobinnie!” Yeonjun yelled, making Soobin scoff as he turned his head towards the older.
“What?” Soobin said coldly, Yeonjun felt a pang in his chest, but he chose to ignore it.
Yeonjun could stare at Soobin’s face for hours, he’s so stunning, pretty, gorgeous, handsome, I just want him to be-
Yeonjun was snapped by his thoughts when Soobin looked at him raising an eyebrow rudely.
“Oh-“ Yeonjun said softly, “Uhm, I made you this cookies.. uhm I hope you’ll like it” Yeonjun said as he used both hands to give Soobin his cookies.
Soobin looked at him before grabbing the box of cookies.
“Thanks I guess..” Soobin said, and with that Soobin turned his head back and continued doing his notes.
Yeonjun was giddy, to the point where he didn’t care that he was hurting.
Yeonjun was jumping up and down as he walked towards his seat. What a great way to start the day. He thought.

The bell finally rung, it was lunch time.
Yeonjun was about to approach Soobin but he saw him getting out of the classroom quickly.
Yeonjun was disappointed, but he just brushed it off when he heard a loud screeching noise from the hallway.
He immediately knew who it was.
“Yeonjunnie hyung!” Huening screamed, it can be heard across the hallway.
Beside him was Taehyun, who is his best friend since they were still in diapers.
“Hi hyung” Taehyun said smiling.
Yeonjun smiled back at them before receiving a hug from Kai.
Yeonjun immediately hugged him back, Taehyun just watched them both fondly.
“Let’s go to the cafeteria together hyung!” Kai said as he clings to his arms, “Alright, alright” Yeonjun said as they made their way to the cafeteria.
“Oh my gosh it’s him” Yeonjun said, the two looked at each other before shaking their heads.
“Hyung we’re not here for him, we are here to eat” Taehyun said as he forced Yeonjun to take a seat.
“But Taehyunnie he is so cute and handsome and-“ Yeonjun was cut off when Kai appeared.
“Hyung let’s eat!” Kai said as he digs into his lunch bag.
Of course, Taehyun and Yeonjun would do the same.

As they were eating, Yeonjun saw Soobin with another guy.
The guy has long dark hair, and his jawline was so sharp too..
And worse he was talking and clinging to Soobin.
Suddenly Yeonjun lost his appetite.
Of course Taehyun and Kai immediately noticed something was wrong.
“Hyung, what’s wrong?” Taehyun asked, as Kai looked at him with a concerned expression, “Uhm..nothing I just- I’m feeling full now”
The two looked at each other, they both knew Yeonjun was lying, but instead of talking they looked at the direction where Yeonjun was looking.
And to their surprise, they saw what Yeonjun saw.
Kai cleared his throat, as Taehyun looked at Yeonjun worriedly.
Yeonjun let a loud sigh.
The two immediately began talking ang yapping about something, Yeonjun knew they were distracting him, and he was thankful that he befriended them.

It finally the last subject of the day.
Yeonjun was tired, and sleepy too.
The bell finally rung, and Yeonjun smiled with happiness entering his body.
That’s when he saw Soobin walked out of their classroom quickly.
But Yeonjun noticed a book in Soobin’s desk.
Yeonjun quickly grabbed the book and sprinted towards Soobin.
They can finally talk, Yeonjun thinks.
“Soobinnie!” Yeonjun yelled, making the crowd turn to look at him.
Soobin finally stopped his tracks, “What?” He said again with his cold voice. Yeonjun hates that voice so much.
Yeonjun’s chest tightens, but he chose to ignore it.
Yeonjun stopped his tracks and he breathed loudly, “Hi- uhm.. is this yours?” Yeonjun said as he handed him his book.
Or so he thought, “That’s not mine actually, it’s Beomgyu’s” Soobin said as he grabbed the book from Yeonjun’s hands. Of course it’s not his, the book was for architectural designs.
Yeonjun can hear the “ohhh” in the background but (again) he chose to ignore it.
“Oh..” Yeonjun said, Then a boy started walking towards Soobin.
“Oh, Soobin hyung!” The boy said,
“Beomgyu-ah” Soobin replied with a smile on his face, Yeonjun was frozen stuck where he was standing.
“Oh- Hi Yeonjun-ssi!” Beomgyu said waving his hands, Yeonjun didn’t want to be rude of course that’s why he waved back.
“Hi..” Yeonjun said softly, “Beomgyu-ah, here’s your book..” Soobin said as he softly handles the book to Beomgyu, “I- I should leave, bye Soobinnie!” Yeonjun said.
“Yeonjun-ssi wait..” Soobin said, Yeonjun felt giddy, did Soobin told him to wait, maybe he wants to walk with him or-
But his thoughts were crushed when Soobin spoked “By the way don’t call me that, I hate it” Soobin said as Yeonjun watched him along with that Beomgyu guy drift away from the crowd.
Yeonjun can hear the “ohh” and the teasing of the crowd.
Yeonjun can’t take it anymore, he quickly walks away as he slowly hide his face (because tears are falling from his eyes)

Yeonjun remembered when he first met Soobin.
Soobin was tall, handsome, cute, smart, sweet (or that’s what he thinks), calm, and pretty.
Yeonjun developed a crush on him for almost two years.
Each day he gave Soobin a special gift or he’ll bake him something(read: cookies).
Yeonjun remembers when the time he still hides the gifts and bake cookies in Soobin’s desk.
Everyone knows that he has a crush on Soobin, yet he doesn’t know if Soobin is aware by that.
He stopped being a coward, and got the courage to approach Soobin and giving him gifts and bake cookies.
Now Yeonjun felt pathetic, but he still has a chance.. right?
Yeonjun just stared at the empty ceiling, until he falls asleep (no he did not get any sleep that night)
Kai and Taehyun kept telling him to let Soobin go because he’s not interested in him and find someone new because he (Soobin) is a jerk, but Yeonjun won’t listen. Soobin isn’t a jerk. (or so he thinks)

Yeonjun woke up from his sleep, he did the usual routine, take a shower, change in his school uniform, and go to school. He doesn’t feel eating breakfast today.
Yeonjun waited for a couple minutes at the bus station, then when a bus stopped in front of him he quickly went inside.
As Yeonjun stared at the window he realized he forgot to bake Soobin’s cookies.
Yeonjun checked his wallet, thankfully the bakery near their school has cheap and delicious cookies, Yeonjun decided to buy before he goes to school.

me: I’m buying smth! I’ll be there

Yeonjun quickly brought those cookies for Soobin.
Then when Yeonjun went inside the school he saw Kai and Taehyun seating together near the school library.
As usual Yeonjun was greeted by all the students he passed by before running towards his friends.
“Hi hyung!” Taehyun greeted him, “Hi Yeonjunnie hyung!” Kai followed, Yeonjun waved at them.
Then his friends soft eyes were changed into boiling rage, “Hyung don’t tell me that you still buy him and bake him a box of cookies” Kai said as Taehyun scoffed, “Hyung no offense but you need to stop, you’re hurting” Taehyun said but Yeonjun ignored them and shrugged it off.
Then the bell rung, it means that they need to go to class.
Thankfully he has only four subjects today, same as Soobin because he and him have the same course.
He quickly enters their room, but to his surprise he didn’t saw the boy he was looking for.
Then as the their professor came, Soobin arrived.
It’s okay, he will just give him the cookies later for the second subject.
But he didn’t even got a chance to give him when the second subject ended, and the following third and fourth subjects.
Yeonjun started losing hope.
But then he saw Soobin walking alone at the busy hallway, finally getting the chance to give him the box of cookies.
“SOOBINNIE!” He yelled grabbing the attention of the crowd, then Soobin finally looked at him, but this time with anger in his eyes.
Yeonjun ran towards him and smiled as he stretched his arms to give him the box of cookies he’s holding.
“Hi I got you this-“ Yeonjun was cut off when Soobin yelled at him.
“WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM!” Soobin yelled loudly and it nearly echoed across the hallway.
“I- I’m just-“ Yeonjun was trying to speak, then Soobin grabbed the box of cookies and threw them away at the nearby trash cans.
Yeonjun watched in shock as Soobin looked at him with rage.
“I’m so fucking sick and tired of this Yeonjun, I don’t fucking like you okay? I’m so tired and annoyed by you!” Soobin yelled once again, it echoed at Yeonjun’s head.
Yeonjun couldn’t hold the tears anymore, the tears flowed down like a waterfall.
“Don’t ever bother me again, and don’t even call me Soobinnie again, I fucking hate it. And leave me alone, you got it?” Soobin walked away before Yeonjun could reply.
Yeonjun stood there for a moment before running away from the school hallway.
He felt embarrassed, humiliated, hurt. He just wants to hide in his room and cry all day.
Thankfully school is over.

Yeonjun was seating at his room floor as he sobbed loudly.
Yeonjun lives alone, but he heard a loud bang in his living room.
It was Huening and Taehyun.
Yeonjun cried and cried.
Taehyun came inside of his room and quickly enveloped him into a warm embrace, it didn’t take long for Kai to join.
“I hate him, I hate him” Yeonjun kept saying repeatedly as he sobbed loudly in Taehyun’s arms.
After his crying session, he looks so puffy.
Kai and Taehyun came with ice cream to comfort their hyung.
Yeonjun told them the full story, and it didn’t take long to make his friends rage.
“Hyung, I can’t believe he humiliated you like that” Kai said as Taehyun was burning with anger all over his body “I’ll fucking kill that jerk”
Taehyun said.
“Please don’t hurt him or anything else, I don’t want an issue with him anymore..” Yeonjun sniffed again, as tears streaming down his cheeks, “Please, promise me?” Yeonjun said, Kai and Taehyun looked at each other before nodding, and gave him a warm hug.
“He didn’t deserve those cookies hyung” Kai said, to make him smile. Well it surprisingly worked.
They watched Yeonjun’s favorite movie together.
Again Yeonjun was so thankful to have them.

The next day Yeonjun doesn’t have the energy to attend any classes today, after what happened yesterday.
He just stared at the empty ceiling and cried again.
He didn’t feel like eating today.
[Taehyun]
Taehyun: Hyung please eat something today…
me: Will do!!
But he knows Taehyun won’t believe him, but he just left him on delivered, maybe he needs to attend his class now.

Yeonjun was right Taehyun was about to go to his class, but he saw Soobin.
He wants to punch him, but he remembered what his hyung said, that’s why he looks him dead in the eye before entering his class.
Soobin looked at him confusedly.
Soobin noticed something is off today, it somehow peaceful.
Soobin carefully entered the classroom, but somehow it was quiet, no yapping, no noise, it was quiet.
Soobin looked at his desk, no cookies.. thank goodness, he thinks.
Soobin was relieved when he saw Yeonjun was not in his seat, he’s usually early.
A minute has passed, still no sign of Yeonjun, then the professor entered.

The class ended, Soobin quickly walked out from the classroom.
He feels off today, something in his routine is missing, or maybe he’s just tired.
He walks towards his locker, he expects the warm smell coming from the bake cookies, but it seems like the locker smelled like books.
Soobin heard running footsteps in the hallway.
Hell no way he’s here to bother him again.
Soobin tires to ignore it but the footsteps didn’t stop from his direction.
He thinks it was Yeonjun again, but to his surprise it was a freshman student, he must be so tired right now that’s why he’s imagining things.
The day ended pretty well, or so he thought.

Soobin noticed, Yeonjun was not attending any classes in the past few days.
Soobin begins to wonder.
But then before he could enter the classroom he saw a fluffy black haired boy in the classroom talking with students.
‘He’s here again’ Soobin thought.
Soobin entered the room but to his surprise Yeonjun was seating near the window, away from Soobin’s desk.
Well Soobin just shrugged and sat down.
But to his surprise (again) no box of cookies?
Soobin turned to look at Yeonjun.
Yeonjun’s desk is empty, no box of cookies.
Soobin looks at his desk again.
Something feels off about him today.

The bell finally rang.
Before Soobin can get out, he saw Yeonjun ran towards the door like a speeding car.
Soobin was surprised, he usually waits him or chase after him. Weird, he thought.
Soobin forgot his lunch today.
He needs to go to that goddamn cafeteria again.
When he enters the loud cafeteria, he saw Yeonjun again but this time holding a box of cookies.
Soobin saw Yeonjun walking his direction.
He swears to talk to him because he doesn’t give up.
But, Yeonjun just walked past him and gave the cookies to some random guy.
Soobin is so confused, why isn’t Yeonjun giving him ‘his’ cookies.

The class finally ended.
The day feels like forever.
But Yeonjun doesn’t even speak, spare a glance at him, or give him a box of cookies.
Soobin was walking at the loud hallway again.
He was unbothered at first but then someone yelled.
“KAI-AH!”
Soobin turned to look at the noise, and he saw Yeonjun who was hugged tightly by a blue haired boy as he burry his head in his shoulders.
Soobin wants to throw up.
“What’s with your face?”
Someone said making Soobin yelp.
“Nothing?” Soobin responded.
“Seems like jealousy to me” Beomgyu said, jealousy? Soobin thinks.
“I’m not jealous by Yeonjun” He said.
“I never said a name?” Beomgyu plastered a smile in his face, Soobin wants to punch him.
“Just shut up” Soobin said as he continued to walk.
“Whatever keeps you sane” Beomgyu said as he followed him.

In the following weeks, things started to change.
Soobin doesn’t receive a box of cookies anymore, he and Yeonjun can even share a single talk, he doesn’t hear Yeonjun yell his name at the noisy hallway anymore.
He feels so incomplete.
When he enters the classroom, he can almost throw up again when he saw Yeonjun flirting with other students.
It annoys Soobin.
But the professor finally entered.

“I just can’t take it anymore Beomgyu-ah, it keeps bothering me, he keeps bothering me” Soobin said.
“Maybe you just missed his presence, or his company” Beomgyu said as he drink his coffee.
“I don’t know anymore Beomgyu” He runs his fingers through his hair.
“Or maybe you fell for him” Beomgyu said making Soobin choke.
“What the fuck?” Soobin said.
“Well don’t get me wrong, you said he’s not bothering you anymore and it annoys you!” Beomgyu yelled.
“Hyung no offense but after what you did to him in the hallway is so damn fucked up”
Soobin is stunned.
“You yelled at him and humiliated him in front of everyone, and you expect him to gave you the attention you want? Heck, I don’t even wonder why he’s ignoring you for the past 3 weeks”
Beomgyu’s words made his heart sink, he finally realized that he deserves this.
“So hyung, tell me what you really feel after he ignored you” Beomgyu said.
Soobin sighed loudly and looking at Beomgyu in defeat.
“I feel so relieved at first since no one is bothering me, but then it started to become annoying. I just hate to see him walking around that blue haired boy around him all the time it makes me feel so sad, and I missed his fresh baked cookies he gave me every day..”
“Wait you ate those cookies?” Beomgyu said looking surprised.
“I do, But then it stopped, it’s like everything fell apart…”
Soobin was thinking to say the words in his head, but fuck it he wants his attention back.
“I miss him so much, but it hurts because he’s ignoring me” Soobin wants to scream, and Beomgyu just nodded.
“You like him don’t you?” Beomgyu asked.
Does he like him? I mean he misses his presence so much, he even felt jealous when someone hugs him, heck after a week he even said to himself that Yeonjun was handsome.
He likes him, no scratch that he loves him.
“I-I do, but I don’t know if he still likes me” Soobin said.
“You finally realize that you like him back after those long weeks, but you definitely deserve this hyung” Beomgyu said.
“How do I win him back?” Soobin said.
“I have a perfect plan for you”

“Are you sure it will work?” Soobin said.
“Yes I’m sure, now get going before he leaves”
Soobin said as he stand in the loud hallway, he feels embarrassed doing this but fuck it he needs to talk to Yeonjun now.
“YEONJUNNIE!” He yelled at the loud hallway making everyone turn their heads.
Then he saw the black haired boy standing there in shock.
Soobin ran towards him and handed him a box of cookies.
“This is for you” Soobin said as he looks at his feet.
“Soobin..” Soobin’s heart began pounding, is he gonna reject him? Why did he trust Beomgyu in the first place, why-
“C-can we talk?” Soobin said softly.
Yeonjun looked at his friends before grabbing Soobin’s hand to an empty classroom.
“What do we need to talk about?” Yeonjun’s voice was cold, it made Soobin feel uncomfortable.
“I-I need to tell you that I’m sorry..” Soobin said softly.
He looked at Yeonjun who stared at him with shock plastered in his face.
“I realized that I enjoyed your presence, your kindness, how you expressed your feelings towards me, how I missed your baked cookies, your voice..in the past three weeks I realized that I like you..so much too” Soobin doesn’t even notice tears spilling down his eyes.
A soft hands brushed it off, Soobin leans into his touch.
“I don’t think you even like me anymore..” Soobin said.
“Nonsense, I still like you the same way Soobinnie..but it hurts me when you embarrassed me in front of the hallway back then” Yeonjun said as he caressed his cheeks.
“But I think I can forgive you..” Yeonjun said as he smiled.
Soobin can’t help but to smile also.
“Kiss, gave me an apology kiss Soobinnie!” Yeonjun said excitingly.
Soobin just smiled brightly.
Soobin pulled Yeonjun’s waist and kissed him softly, the kiss was warm and sweet, Yeonjun kissed him back with sweetness.
Yeonjun placed his hands on Soobin’s neck to deepen the kiss he waited for to happen, Soobin grabbed his waist tightly like it was his lifeline.
But they were interrupted when they need to catch their breaths.
Soobin presence their foreheads together, as they smiled brightly.
“Thank you..” Soobin said.
“For what?” Yeonjun replied back.
“For making me realize that I love you” Soobin said.
Yeonjun kiss his forehead, “Welcome” He said softly as he giggled.
Soobin finds it adorable, he couldn’t help but to kiss him again.
“But I was a jerk back then.. how can I make it up to you?” Soobin said, as Yeonjun smiled.
“Be my boyfriend” Yeonjun said.
Soobin was shocked.
He lifts Yeonjun and spins him around.
“Of course!” Soobin said as he kissed him again.

After a few days they finally announced that they are dating to their friends of course.
“See I told you, you like him back” Beomgyu said.
“Well fuck you, you never told me you had a boyfriend who was Taehyun all along” Yeonjun said as he clings to Soobin.
“He’s right Beomgyu, you never said he was your boyfriend” Soobin said.
“Only Kai knows” Taehyun said
“WHAT!” Both he and Soobin yelled.
“Well I was his wingman so, and don’t come for me I was your wingman also” Kai said.
“excuse you, I was he wingman” Beomgyu argued.
Then they argued about that the whole day.
Sometimes people really get their feelings reciprocated.
