The time I got a headache and watched myself in the future. (WATCHING THE SHOW — BLACK PHONE)

Summary:

Finney felt a headache coming on, he was pretty sure his sister did too.

Robin has been gone from school for two days, the missing boys still missing, he figured it was from stress or something like that.

He didn’t expect to black out and watch himself in the fucking future.

Notes:

Hey loves!

I decided to write this cuz I only saw one fanfic that is something around this, so I decided "fuck it. Let me do it!"

This is a draft, I’m not done with it, but I’m putting it out here to get attention to hype it up to give me motivation!

Happy reading <3

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Finney dropped his backpack on the floor as softly as one could, and took a deep breath as he shut the door behind him. It had been a long, long day, and he hasn’t seen Robin at school.

Maybe he’s sick, or something? Finney didn’t really know, he tried calling up Ms. Arellano earlier but she didn’t pick up. Leaving Finn to think. What happened? Where was Robin?—

"Finn? Are you home?" He faintly heard from the door, and it was more of a whisper to not wake their father.

Gwen was back, his little sister from Suzie’s house. Finn tapped on the door, confirming it was him without speaking.

they really didn’t wanna wake their father and be beat by that damn belt again.

He heard small and light footsteps making way to his bedroom, hearing the door creak, to reveal Gwen standing in her school clothes with her backpack and two braids that were placed in the front of her.

"Hi, Fin." She greeted. Her voice like a mutter, which Finney knew that meant she probably had something to tell him.

"A dream." Finney said what Gwen was thinking. She nodded slowly, looking behind herself do make sure their father wasn’t listening to this conversation.

"It was about you, fin. I saw those missing boys, the four missing ones. You know, the ones taken by the grabber. Then I saw Robin—" Gwen rushed, as she noticed her father started to rouse. Finney stared.

it didn’t last long as it was cut off by the voice of a drunk father.

"What you two kids talkin’ about? Don’t tell me you’re talking about that..mentally ill shit. I’ll take off my belt so fast and whoop you both so hard.."

Finney took notice how fast Gwen paled. He rushed in to take cover, he hated hearing this, these threats to beat them. He was fine if it was him, but Gwen? No.

"It was nothing, dad. We were just talking about math homework with Robin."

A quick lie. Smooth. And his father wouldn’t make sense of it, seeing as how many bottles surrounded him.

His father grunted and sat back down in his chair. Gwen no longer looked tense and Finney felt better about himself. He’d finally done something good, something that wasn’t selfish. (Nothing he did was. But it felt like it.)

After a couple minutes watching TV with Gwen, he felt a sharp pain in his head, from what he remembered; Gwen groaned out in pain too.

Then he blacked out.

***

Griffin stagg.

The first victim of the Grabber, but no one payed much attention. He was invisible, only his mother seemed to care; only one who seemed to search.

When he got to that damn, fucking basement, he was about 7. The man that took him seemed nice, but whenever Griffin did something that he didn’t like? It was gone.

He figured. What kidnapper was nice?

He sorta missed his family. Well, his mother. He didn’t have any friends. Made average grades, 7 being a average age, and add that all together:

Griffin stagg was an average kid no one batted an eye at.

Now as a ghost, bloodied neck and back bended (he just liked to freak out the others), he barely remembered his name, his family (mother.)

And he was stuck watching other kids go through the same as him, it was the same thing every time.

Kidnapped, door left unlocked on purpose, Grabber found them, then naughty boy, and then death. Same thing every time. Though Mister Pinball put up a fight.

Mister Pinball failed, as did Mister Baseball, and Mister paperboy. Even if Mister paperboy didn’t really put up a fight, he didn’t go down easy.

A new boy had entered the basement just two days ago. And he died in two days, the shortest ever. The new boy told Griffin his own name, but he just called him Mister bandanna. If they ever talked.

As he sat, hearing Mister Pinball yell and curse words he never heard before, he felt a sharp pain in his head. He thought he couldn’t feel pain anymore! This wasn’t fair—

He blacked out. Who knew Ghosts could black out?

***

Billy Showalter.

The paperboy, he was the second Victim of the grabber. This was when people started to take notice.

Two boys disappearing, in the same year?

The police had to investigate this now.

When he was taking to that damn, fucking basement, there was this black phone. But he was told it didn’t work, he didn’t wanna believe his kidnapper, but it didn’t work.

Then that door was unlocked. The hope that flooded him was unreal. He could see his dog again! His mama!

But some things are too good to be true.

It was as a trap, a trap that lead him to the belt and to his very bad dug up grave.

Instead of being met with the afterlife; he saw the boy missing before him. And being stuck in that basement still. He didn’t remember his name, neither did Billy. They never really talked.

Billy was started to forget, just like griffin. He remembered he delivered newspapers, so, the bloodied boy before him named Billy "Mister paperboy." But they never actually talked much. There was nothing to even talk about.

Paperboy watched as one boy after another came, the lastest one being a boy wearing a bandanna. He lastest two days, and didn’t hear that black phone ringing.

The boy, ('curly hair' as Paperboy called him) nicknamed the Hispanic boy "Mister bandanna."

Time moved so slow as a Ghost.

Then a sharp pain came to his head, he was more confused than angry. Ghosts couldn’t feel pain.

Then he blacked out. Who knew Ghosts could black out?

***

Vance 'Pinball' Hopper.

The third victim, the most aggressive, the one who had done the most damage of all, the scariest kid in the town, was kidnapped and killed.

It came a shock to everyone who saw him fight— and heard of his fights.

Because there was no way. No fucking way the Vance Hopper was taken down, by some man who took absolute nobody’s.

After completing damaging the shitshow, he died. The Grabber took time his with Vance, too.

He was met with some boy with a bad neck, and another who had scars all over his face.

The bloodied neck boy told Vance the one with scars all over his face was "Mister paperboy."

The hell? What type of fucking dumbass name is that? He wished he could have physical touch again, just to punch the damn Bloodied neck boy.

Eventually time passed; as it always does. Never stopping. Some Japanese boy, then a Hispanic one.

The bloodied boy gave them both dumbass nicknamed too, just like how he’s being called "Mister pinball."

Time passed and it felt like nothing anymore, until a sharp pain stabbed his head.

What the fuck? Ghosts can’t feel any pain.

Then he blacked out. Who knew Ghosts could black out?

***
Bruce Yamada.

Fourth victim of the grabber, famous baseball player!

Too bad that got the attention of him, that damn pedophile who got him on a bike ride home.

He didn’t remember much, really. Home life. After life. Memory was always hazy and never there.

He remembers first dying; a boy with a bloodied neck called him "Mister baseball."

He’ll take it.

The bloodied neck boy pointed to one with scars all over his face and introduced him as "Mister paperboy", then another with long curly hair (who was attractive. don’t tell him that though.) and introduced him as "mister pinball."

Weird.

As far as he knows, a new Hispanic boy was kidnapped. Only lasted two days, and was officially titled "mister Bandana."

Then time flew away from him again, and when he came back to it, a sharp pain began in his forehead. Ghost couldn’t feel pain, could they?

He blacked out. Who knew Ghosts could black out?
