Notes:

An amazing k-drama, Queen Of Tears, with outstanding actors and acting. Amazing story, and most of all how it was delivered to the viewers, is top-tier. Probably one of my favorite k-dramas, which is what motivated me to write this fan-fiction. I obviously have a lot of flaws, and so will my writing, as I am no professional. I hope you enjoy what I have to deliver to you, and pay no mind of any mistakes that you may come across. Thank you for displaying interest to this fan-fiction and I hope you have a blast while reading!!

Chapter 1: Feeling shocked

Chapter Text

Does love really win all?

Feeling shocked

“Congratulations, you guys are about to become parents,” the doctor beamed.
Hae-in’s eyes were wide open, and she was left speechless. Hyun-woo’s mouth was shakily covered by his hands in shock, and joy.
He quickly took Hae-in’s hands and clasped them with teary eyes, with a smile that went from ear to ear.
The doctor continued, “It’s due on October 31st.”
“That’s a good date,” Hae-in smiled.
Hyun-woo smiled back, as they both looked into each other’s eyes, not knowing what the future held for them.

They held hands walking on the golden sand of the beach, across the everlasting blue ocean. The sun was setting, and the sky felt as endless as their love. Hyun-woo turned to Hae-in saying, “Thank you. Thank you so much,” and embraced her into a mellow, warm hug. Hae-in smiled and hugged him back, asking in confusion, “What for?”
“For this gift,” he answered looking down at her stomach and then back at her.
Hae-in let go of the hug, and held Hyun-woo’s cheek, “We can’t let my family know about this, just yet. There are a lot of people who would do anything to bring me down. No to bring us down,” she continued while touching her stomach, “They might try to harm me, as having a child now, really does guarantee my inheritance to all my grandfather’s assets to the Queens group.”
Hyun-woo nodded his head, and pulled her back into a hug, “I won’t ever let anything to happen to you. Or our little one.”

The next two months were ordinary day at work. That day, Hae-in was throwing a tantrum in the meeting room, for a disagreement between her and the sales team. “This is so embarrassing. Imagine how unprofessional and silly they think the Queens group is, to ‘accidentally’ send out 10,000 free packets of our new product!” she cried. Everyone was used to hearing their CEO’s voice throughout the building when something that upset her happened. Hyun-woo would check up on his wife and try to get a glimpse of her face every chance he got throughout the day at work. Today he waited at the side of the hallway, next to the meeting room, away from her sight. Knowing now wasn’t a good time to interrupt. Suddenly she stopped talking, and they called out to her in fear. “Ma’am? Ma’am! Are you okay?” Mr. Park anxiously asked. Hae-in had suddenly got light-headed and her hand was on her forehead, and her body was just about to collapse. Hyun-woo’s eyes shot open and he didn’t need to tell his legs to move, because they had already barged into the room unannounced.

He shouted in fear, “Hae-in!”
Everyone looked back at the huffing and puffing Hyun-woo with his shaking voice, running towards his wife.
“Calm down… I just need to sit down for a bit,” Hae-in said taking a deep breath.
Hyun-woo crutched down, and looked up at Hae-in from the ground in front of her, with fear and worry. “Take the day off today,” he pleaded.
“Don’t be dramatic. I just felt a bit dizzy.”
Startling everyone in awe, Hyun-woo slapped the meeting room table with a bang and yelled, “Just listen to me for once!”
Hae-in’s mouth was open wide, and she jumped up. Hyun-woo grabbed her hand, and they walked out of the room together, leaving everyone in awe. They walked past Secretary Na, who was still flustered, after Hyun-woo demanded her to cancel everything in Hae-in’s schedule for the day. They continued to go down the elevator, with Hyun-woo still gripping onto Hae-in’s wrist with clenched teeth.

After walking out of the building, Hyun-woo finally stopped, and let go of Hae-in’s wrist.
“Mrs Hong Hae-in, you need to take a break. Secretary Na told me you’ve been signing documents and having appointments all day for the last one week. I know you’ll never listen to me and take a week off now, with the conflict between the Queens Group and the Peninsula scandal. But please, at least let your personal team handle some of your work,” Hyun-woo nagged.
Hae-in bit her lip, “I want to finish all the problems at work as soon as possible. I want to quickly reach a trillion sales and take a long break, for you, and…,” she continued, placing her hand on her stomach, looking back at Hyun-woo.
Hyun-woo gave a big sigh, as he ran his hand through his hair trying to think of what to say next. Finally opening his mouth he said, “Let’s do that then. Let’s take a long break together, the three of us, after you’ve reached your goal. But… Hae-in please. Take it easy when it’s too much. Give me some of your burdens too.”
After a few moments of silence, Hae-in let out a small laugh.
“What’s wrong?”
“You’re pretty cute when you’re angry,” she admitted.
“I don’t really think scaring the entire sales team, and nearly breaking a table is cute.”
They both laughed.
