Summary
“Look, boss,” Husk says finally, putting the now sparkling clean glasses back on their rack to look Alastor in the eye. “I think the kid’s great. But babysitting—that ain’t covered in our contract. You know it, I know it.”
“Why, of course I do, Husker!” Alastor exclaims, waving a hand dismissively. “I’m well aware of our agreement.”
Husk takes a deep breath. “Then you can’t make me do this.”
“Oh, please. Who’s making you do anything?” Alastor smiles into his glass. “I would hate to force you. Just a little favor between friends, nothing more. And it’s only for an evening, while his Majesty and I attend to necessary business.”
