So um,Drawcia,Am I right?

Idk why but she is a very fascinating character to me,ever since I got Canvas Curse on my phone (and never got past the 4th world) I have become a fan of her,I mean,she has a cool design,cool theme,she was the first Soul Boss,and,she has like two sisters in other games for some reason,not that I mind though

So yeah,like I said,pretty interesting character and I love her very much,so much that I even dreamed of a fanfic about her

For context,When I do have dreams,it’s usually something that can happen in real life and when I wake up,I’m disappointed that it didn't actually happen :P

So in the dream,I was on twitter and I saw somebody post their draft of a Kirby fanfic idea about Drawcia so I bookmarked the tweet but when I actually woke up and checked my bookmarks,it wasn’t there so I knew it was a dream and got sad

So yeah,I’m going to describe the fanfic right now,note that I can barely remember it and even then I might be getting it all wrong but whatever (Also,I don’t have the motivation to turn it to a actual fanfic so yeah)

Basically it starts with Kirby having a sleepover with Drawcia in his house,beforehand,Drawcia kinda just reappeared one day and started to turn everything painting again but Kirby (alongside his friends) were able to stop her without killing her (or putting her back into the painting,either way works) and it was Kirby idea to put her in the path of redemption after hearing the painting witch’s story from other people,his other friends……doesn’t exactly agree with that idea but decides to not argue against it because,c'mon,He’s Kirby!

So for the past few weeks,Kirby and co been watching and hanging out with Drawcia,at first,she was very narcissistic and rude to them (not to mention insane) but slowly,she starts to warm up,atleast to Kirby,she doesn’t like everybody else lol

Okay,now back to the sleepover,it’s midnight and Kirby is already asleep while Drawcia is still awake,besides him on his small ass bed,she starts to think about how her life currently going with Kirby,which makes her think about her missing sister,which makes her to think about her past conquest of Dream Land,which makes her think about being a screaming blob of paint (AKA her soul boss),which makes her think about-

Yeah,basically a lot of late night existential thinking,during this though,Drawcia turns to look at Kirby slumbering and becomes a bit envious about his innocence and happiness,he never seems to have such existential thoughts in his life (or so she thinks)

After thinking about that,she starts to have intrusive thoughts about harming Kirby in his sleep through……extremely tortuous ways (nothing too Graphic but still very disturbing even to Drawcia) so now,she basically trying to fight off those thoughts and convince herself that she would never do that to him

However,to make things worse,Kirby starts to whimper and sob during his sleep,gripping his blanket tightly,which evolves to him full on screaming while trying to desperately grab onto Drawcia for any sort of comfort,after a moment of shock,She manages to wake Kirby up from his horrible nightmare (Don’t ask about the Fountain of Dreams btw) he immediately starts to apologize about letting her (and the rest of the soul bosses he had to face) suffer for so long and then says he doesn’t deserves happiness after making them in pain and even not saving some of them

(Also,the nightmare may or may not be my previous fic “Evening Stroll” wink wink)

After processing the situation for a minute,Drawcia in a instant,start to comfort Kirby,hugging him and saying comforting things to him in a soothing voice all while cradling the puffball (It’s her big sister instinct I tell you) after a few minutes,Kirby stops crying and starts to fall back asleep again

Drawcia watches as Kirby peacefully sleep,realizing that she does really care for him and how she might have more similarities to the hero then she thought,then the witch starts to feel sleepy herself and falls asleep alongside Kirby,both at peace

So yeah,that’s basically the fic concept,I probably never turn this into a actual fanfiction but it is a fun idea

I still have no idea why I had that dream,but then again,I was really craving Drawcia fluff that day so maybe that’s the reason,who knows!

Burning Leo my beloved

He is one of my favorite regular enemies and helpers,I mean,look at him! He is so cute and badass,way better than the rest of the fire based enemies

(I also thought he was meant to be a girl for some reason one time)

So,In honor of being my favorite blorbo that gives the fire ability,I will now use little Leo as a test rat to how Void Termina’s (and to a extent,Morpho Knight’s) brainwashing waves (AKA the “Circle of Friends” attack),I mean,that’s gotta be some sort of honor right?

So yeah,in this chapter,I will be going over my headcannons on how those waves work,the aftereffects and the difference between Morpho’s waves,all while using Burning Leo cause I like to see my favorite little guy go through angst and comfort,so let’s get started!

(I also planned a first person POV section but I decided against it but I might do it in a later chapter)

Getting straight to the point,being hit by Void Termina’s waves slows your perception of time by like,a lot,so that means that while it seems that the victim is affected immediately,in their point of view,a second can feel like a few minutes,which may not seem that bad at first but let’s continue

Alongside altering your perception of time,the waves also wipes your entire mind clean,which means that little poor Leo here basically cannot recall anything because his mind is way too foggy,his vision gets really dark too,so it’s not a good time for him
Suddenly,a destructive urge enters the mind,a darkness that whispers to destroy everything that stands in his path,maybe even a urge similar to Void Termina itself,and because of how absolutely blank Leo’s mind is,he instantly follows those instincts and begins to attack whatever's in front of him (which happens to be Kirby) I mean,he can’t recall anything else besides that so it must be his purpose,right?

Of course,the person affected by the waves can snap out of it by either getting knocked out or being thrown a friend heart,if it’s the latter,the victim would be disoriented for a moment and may look like they were falling asleep but they can quickly recover

Though even after being brought out of the Brainwashing waves and Void Termina being defeated,it’s not over yet for Burning Leo since there are still after effects that he will experience (alongside the trauma of having your mind wiped and attacking your friend) yay!

These will last for a few weeks and the effects include: zoning out more often,vision going dark and blurry for a moment,feeling nauseous and specific to Burning Leo,his flame seeming more dull,not as burning as it usually is.

More notably,Leo would get these strange dreams (can even be technically night terrors) which will cause him to sorta sleepwalk and murmur to himself,when he wakes up,Leo won’t remember the dream but would definitely notice that something is wrong (usually by far from the place he sleeps in)

So to summarize,even if it was for a moment,being brainwashed by Void Termina have made poor Burning Leo somewhat traumatized but atleast he got Kirby to help comfort him <3

One last thing,How about Morpho Knight’s brainwashing waves?

Well,they are mostly similar to Void Termina’s but there is one key difference,Morpho uses chitter sounds (like the ones bugs make,I know butterfly don’t make those noise but shhhhhh) which when heard,will mess with the victims brain,think about that evil big dragon from How To Train Your Dragon 2

So yeah,that basically it,idk why I wanted to talk about this topic for so long about oh well.

Finally,I can talk about my Kirby AUS,I’m so excited for this!

The au I’m going to talk is the Dark Star AU,something that have been in the back of my mind for two months and only now expanding it to a actual au

The main summary of this au is that Mr.Star (from the hit video game,Kirby Super Star Stacker and my beloved) after the events of his game but before Crystal Shards,encounters the Dark Matter Trio (y’know,from the beginning of Crystal Shards) and the three were like “Wowie,look how innocent you are,you like the perfect candidate to be corrupted!” and then he said ‘Wait,what-” then BOOM,corruption!

So the trio turned Mr.Star into Dark Nebula,with no memory of his previous life and a very edgy and dramatic teenager personality (because I headcannon him with that kind of attitude)

Yes I did make this au based on the fact that they are both stars

Then,Dark Nebula does some stuff (he is not the Ruler of the Underworld or whatever btw but he certainly likes to act like he is) he gets imprisoned by Meta Knight after he tried to attack Pop Star,a few years pass and then the events of Squeak Squad happen

And now,years have passed since his seemingly permanent defeat,but then he starts to slowly reform into a smaller and weaker form with tiny floating nubs as hands,Dark Nebula has risen once again!

(Also I haven’t decide on the exact time period yet,it’s definitely before Star Allies but I will try to decide later)

Nebula wandered around Popstar for a while and found out that most of Dark Matter is gone,then he decides that it is worth to try to take over Popstar again so the star decides to just chill with the Squeak Squad

It took a bit of convincing but the Squeaks were like “Okay,you can stay but don’t do anything too fishy” and now,Dark Nebula is a part of the group of thieves known as the Squeak Squad! (kinda)

He mostly hangs out in their secret base an even occasionally help out with their heists (that was after they fully got comfortable with having him around though) Nebula likes to be with the Squeaks in their off time (I will try to write what dynamic Nebula has with them in a later chapter) he mostly around the Squeakers though since there are at least one of them in the base while the rest of the Squeaks are out.

So he and the group of mice have lots of wacky shenanigans (did I mention that this is a crack au yet?) eventually,he meets Kirby and his friends,while Kirby is of course Kirby and gladly accepts him a new friend,the others are a bit suspicious of Dark Nebula (especially Meta Knight) and they fear that he might be planning something evil (spoiler alert:he is not)

But then something strange happens,Nebula starts to have strange dreams (which is unusual already) about his memories…….some of which he doesn't remember,like getting shot down by a cannon while flying through space,meeting Kirby and asking him to get his star pieces back,playing Star Stacker and more.

He even dreamed of encountering the Dark Matter trio and getting corrupted by them and…….well,it was unpleasant

Now,Dark Nebula doesn’t know what to do,his whole life,he believed that he was 100% Dark Matter and was born one,does he tell the others,would they even believe him?

Basically,he has a existential crisis about who he is and must learn the best possible way to deal with them while maintaining a stable relationship with the Squeak Squad (which he may or may not consider family-) alongside his history with Kirby and co

Though that might be difficult when those three Dark Matter suddenly return……

So yeah,that’s it for now,it kinda got dark near the end but this is still a crack au so-

Expect me to write more about this au in the future (hopefully!)

In the next chapter will be my big one,the au that I probably have the most things to say about so it will take a while to post the chapter

Kirby giggled constantly as he carried the Strawberry Shortcake,almost like a little maniac,all as King Dedede gave him chase.

What happened was that the king was having a feast in his castle as usual,and Kirby just so happen to pay a visit,the puffball then spotted a delicious piece of Strawberry Shortcake that Dedede was saving for last,and of course,being the hungry pink puffball he is,stole it for himself and ran off.

Despite this,it was clear that the chase was playful and that Dedede wasn’t actually that mad (well,maybe a tiny bit mad) due to the fact that he and Kirby hadn't really had an antagonistic relationship in a long while.

As Kirby was running off,he spotted a Waddle Dee nearby laying down on a hill,one he sure that he recognized,It was Bandee as he always relaxes in that spot near Castle Dedede!

Though strangely,he didn’t have his bandanna or spear but instead just a parasol like some Waddle Dees and Doos sometimes have,but Kirby just chalked it up to him having a relaxing day off,I mean,he can recognize his loyal buddy no matter what,right?

So,he said his signature ‘Hiiiiii” and waved but instead of happily waving back as he always does,the Waddle Dee just stared at him with a unreadable expression (It kinda looked like he was…..afraid)

Huh,that was strange.

Maybe he was having a bit of a off day,yeah,he will bounce back in no time,so the puffball jus continue dashing with the stolen cake,Dedede however,wanted some help with capturing the Strawberry Shortcake thief so he quickly went up to Bandee,gave him a nudge (which made him jump when he usually is never that jumpy around the king) and then they both dashed off after Kirby,with the Dee holding the parasol.

They ran for a bit, Meta Knight was on a small hill,reading a book and spotted the three of them running amok but paid no mind to them.

Suddenly,A giant ship came out of a portal and crashed down! (which sadly resulted in the Strawberry Shortcake being ruined that was not important right now) All of them including Meta Knight immediately went to check it out (though,Dedede basically had to drag Bandee to the ship since he seems to be in extreme shock when it crashed)

There,they meet a alien named Magolor who was the captain of this interdimensional ship (which was named the Lor Starcutter) and needs help finding not only 120 energy spheres but 5 of the main ship parts,Kirby,who is always eager to lend a helping hand,agreed and so did all his friends.

So now,they are off to Cookie Country where the first ship part is located,as they are all discussing how exciting it to be to go on a adventure together this time (though Meta Knight seems to be more concerned on how they will approach this journey) King Dedede notice that Bandee had a somewhat dark expression and that he wasn’t talking at all.

So the penguin gave a small smile and said to the Waddle Dee ‘Hey Buddy,what’s wrong?”

He looked up at King Dedede,with another unreadable expression,holding his parasol tightly before finally saying something to them.

But it wasn’t Bandee's voice at all.

“Is………is this just another hallucination?”

Kirby whimpered and sobbed as he clutched the blanket tighter and tighter.

*After the sphere of endless soul suffering screamed out,Kirby felt like he was melting in it’s grip,he try to apologize for causing its existence but all that came out was static*

*He was becoming apart of the gooey sphere,like he should have long ago,yet,it still hurts*

He started to scream,tears rapidly go down his face,trying to grab the nearest thing around him.

“K-Kirby?”

*Everything burned,all he can do now is scream*

“Kirby!”

*He felt his mind become one with the other souls,stuck in this eternal state of suffering and static*

*But unlike them,he deserved every bit of this*

“KIRBY WAKE UP!”

The puffball eyes shot wide open as he let out a shriek,he was rapidly hyperventilating,unable to focus on anything else in the moment because of how blurry his vision was.

It was just a dream,yet it still felt like he can hear the screams,that he can feel himself slowly melting.

Kirby started to look besides himself in the dark room and found a pair of worried yellow eyes looking at him.

“M-Meta K-Knight?” He whimpered out in between his sobs,Meta usually comforts him when he has the occasional night terror,so it would make sense if he was here (though,those night terrors weren’t nearly as bad then…..this)

“No” the pair of yellow eyes responded,it didn’t sound like Meta Knight at all,Kirby vision started to clear up and saw instead it was-

Oh,oh no

Right besides him in his bed was Drawcia the painting sorceress,not as a screaming ball of ooze but as her usual self.

Kirby’s mind was too foggy from the nightmare to remember why she was here,he just instantly yelled “I'M SO SORRY!”

Drawcia was taken aback as Kirby continue “I'M SORRY THAT I DIDN'T SAVE YOU FROM YOUR SUFFERING STATE EARLIER,I MADE YOU AND A LOT OF OTHER SOULS I FACED GO THROUGH PAIN,SOME OF WHICH I ACTUALLY KILLED,I DON’T DESERVE TO HAVE LOTS OF FRIENDS AND FUN FILLED DAYS IN DREAM LAND,I-I-I”

The hero didn’t even finished,he just started to cry more,burying his head into the bed,babbling as the events of the dream play in his mind,then suddenly,he felt Drawcia giving him a hug or atleast,the best way she can give a hug,which is to wrap her cloak around the pink puffball.

“Shhhhhhhhh,just take some deep breaths”

Kirby despite his current crying state nodded and started to take some slow,very deep breaths as the witch kept rubbing her cloak in his back and softly saying “It’s alright,just let it all out”

After a bit,Kirby started to calm down,he was still crying but his mind felt clearer,he remembered that he invited Drawcia over for a sleepover in his house,yeah,she was starting to warm up to him and his friends after being very narcissistic and mean to them (well,mainly warming up to him)

But he didn’t expect Drawcia to see him like……this

He was about to apologize for possibly ruining the night for her but before he could,she whispered “Shhh,Shhh,it’s okay,you don’t need to say sorry,I’m here for you now”

Kirby was surprised by the sudden change of mood by Drawcia,acting a lot more “motherly” but he didn’t complain about that,he instead just relaxed in her grasp,and soon,the sorceress started to cradle him slowly.

“Do you want to talk about it?” She said gently,the puffball thought about it but thinking about those voices and *especially* that soul sphere made him shudder so he shook his head.

Drawcia just hummed in response and said “Well,that’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it right now,I will be here either way” then after staring at him for a second softly with her mesmerizing,seemly glowing eyes,she then said-

“I just want to let you know that you didn’t cause me and others to suffer,it wasn’t your fault” Kirby was a bit surprised by her words but let the witch continue “After all,you did manage to save them from their painful soul forms,even me! Though it wasn’t intentional,and even for the souls you didn’t save,that was out of your control,you just needed to put them down”

Her face inched closer to his as she used her cloak to wipe the remaining tears from Kirby’s face,before firmly but still gently stating “You really are a hero”

The pink puffball stared at her before finally giving a small smile,he seems to have calmed down from his nightmare at last,Drawcia nodded happily as a response,her eyes seemly glowing more and more,which made him be entranced by them,with his eyes growing heavier.

Kirby’s eyes started to flutter shut,his mind was so foggy but this time in a good way,it meant that he was falling asleep.

Then when his eyes fully shut,the last thing he felt before going into deep sleep was being put back into his bed,being tucked in,and the soft whisper of “Good Night”

Kirby softly yawned as his eyes slowly opened,the early morning light gently hit him,he just had a good rest even after that terrible nightmare.

He looked besides him to find Drawcia also slowly waking up as well,the both looked at each other,her bright yellow eyes constant with his more darker but still friendly blue ones.

After what seemed like forever,Drawcia spoke up “Good morning,how was your sleep?” Kirby gave his usual smile and said “Good morning to you too,And I slept great because of you”

She let out a joyful giggle,”Well,I’m glad that you are okay,I was really worried”

Then they continued to just stare at each other,it seemed like they were both still drowsy so he said “Y’know,it’s still very early so how about we sleep for one more hour and then eat breakfast?”

“That’s a wonderful idea” Drawcia mumbled,already drifting off to sleep.

And seemingly in synch,the puffball and the witch both fell back asleep at the same time,with Kirby holding her closely,they both napped without a care for the world.

Chapter Text

*King Dedede gets blasted out of his castle into the sky,leaving behind a big,glowing and powerful looking star like item*

*Kirby and the Animal Friends start to celebrate their victory until they hear slow clapping from above,they look up to find Mr.Star to be the source of the sound,slowly descending to the star item*

“Bravo, Kirby. You've truly earned your reputation as a hero.”

“Your help defeating King Dedede was invaluable.”

*Mr.Star then picks up the star item in glee*

“Ah... At long last, it's mine! The source of limitless power... The Master Star!”

*Mr.Star then absorbs the Master Star into his body as the power surges through him until he finally transforms into a new bigger,powerful form*

“Obtaining this star has been my ultimate goal all along!”

*The Animal Friends seem to be in shock,with Rick even falling down after taking a step back in surprise,while Kirby seemed to be more confused and even baffled as Mr.Star look down on them*

“What's with all the weird looks? Fine. Let me explain everything”

*Cut to a flashback to what happened*

"I tried to get the star myself and got shot down. So I fell to Planet Popstar”

“That's when the thought struck me... I could have get the star for me! A stroke of genius, I know”

“You even helped me get my own star pieces back. I really did appreciate that, by the way”

*We cut back to Mr.Star hovering above Kirby and Co as the sky begins to warp*

"Anyway... MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! The time has come for your planet... No! The time has come for the ENTIRE UNIVERSE to bow down to me”

“And for being such a big help in all of this, your planet gets to go first!"

*Then Mr.Star starts to fly away into space in a fast pace*

"Prepare to bow, Popstar! Welcome your new overlord!"

*The Animal Friends and Kirby can only watch as Mr.Star flies into space to start his plan,still very much surprised from the betrayal*

To start,he is apart of a super ultra rare sentient Star species that is sorta eldritch in a way,like,even the Ancients don’t fully know what they are

They have tremendous power inside of them but since they are relatively peaceful beings,they don’t really use that power

Like shown with Mr. Star ingame,Star pieces can be broken off of them and are extremely valuable,the Ancients used some of those Star Pieces to make artifacts like the Triple Star! (Which I also headcanon to be a weapon one of the Heroes of Yore used)

Unfortunately,Star Pieces can drive most who come in contact with it crazy due to amount of power it has so making does Star related artifacts was risky and is also why in Super Star Stacker,the opponents (like Parasol Waddle Dee,Knuckle Joe,etc) were so aggressive and keen on keeping the star piece

And then there are Warp Stars which I headcannon to not be a creation of the ancients but instead somesort of variation of Mr. Star species,it’s a bit hard to explain :p

Anyways,Mr. Star is older than he looks,the Star was nearly a century old during the events of Super Star Stacker! though,by his species standards,that’s a young age (the average life span is around 3000 and some can even live longer!)

During his journey to get all of his star pieces,he especially got along with Kine the most but Kirby was still his closest friend in general (he is friends with all of the animal buddies though)

After saying goodbye to Kirby and co,Mr. Star just couldn’t stop thinking about them,he desperately wanted to go back but couldn’t because not only that somebody could blast his Star pieces from him again but also that he was near his metamorphosis phase (more on that in a bit!)

Luckily,he had company in the form of Gryll and their companions,Salt,Pepper and Sugar,I like to think that Mr. Star wasn’t present when Gryll challenged Kirby so the witch was surprised when the star journeyed with the puffball beforehand especially since Gryll has been intrigued by his species for a long time

They hang out a lot mostly playing Star Stacker,Mr. Star slowly start to improve on his skills and even manages to beat Gryll in their last game of Star Stacker before his metamorphosis!

Speaking of which,metamorphosis is something that happens which turns a star into fully grown star,it happens around their 100’s

When a star is ready for their metamorphosis,they will feel extremely fatigued and sleepy,the Star then go to a spot with a lot of stardust and fall into a very deep sleep

Then the stardust among other things like matter will be pulled towards the star which forms somesort of circular cocoon that is as bright and hot as the sun so it is suggested not to got near a star who is in their metamorphosis phase

It is theorized that they use chaos during their metamorphosis but that is not confirmed,it is certain that they use Dream Matter during the process

This phase could at least a few years and at most around 15 years,during this time,the star begins to dream,replaying their most favorite memories and even making new memories

For Mr. Star,his favorite memories are the ones with Kirby and friends so he constantly dreamed of experiencing the events of Super Star Stacker on repeat like it was the first time,he even dreamed new memories about spending more time with Kirby and the animal friends!

After the metamorphosis is completed,the now fully grown star would be lot brighter,would have claws on their nubs and most importantly,they would have overly large wings,no one knows what the purpose but they look cool!

Though,as a consequence of dreaming new memories during metamorphosis,the line between what’s real and what’s not would be blurred for the star at first but luckily for Mr. Star,Gryll was there to help him

Then at long last,Mr. Star gets to reunite with Kirby and gets to live in Popstar with fun filled days that he used to dream of that is now a reality!

Plus,he is practicing on his powers for any future threats since the fully grown state is where a star could really use their tremendous power to their full potential

In short,Mr. Star is having a good time :D

Also,I feel like he (alongside his species) have a connection to the star doors,in fact,I like to headcannon that a ancient made the golden goal door based on a fully grown star! I think it’s a fun connection
