Like this, Beomgyu’s demure — almost content. He likes sitting in silence with Yeonjun while everyone else around them talks animatedly about one thing or another. It’s almost as if they’re stuck in some little personal bubble, far removed from the terribilis of the world they find themselves stuck in. It’s the only time he likes being himself, away from all the substances he can’t really quit and all the people he doesn’t really like. Yet he’s never minded the bitterness at the bottom of his coffee-cup, or the bitterness of everything else that surrounds him, much too used to it. Beomgyu loves to feel alive, but hates to live, some sort of sick memento mori that he can’t help but speed up with every second passing.
