I've been having such terrible writers block, so this one-shot is me attempting to get out of my comfort zone a bit. I'm new to writing makeout/spicy scenes so be nice I'm sensitive

Work Text:

In Percy’s defence, he had studied with Annabeth for a solid 10 minutes before giving up. Unfortunately, Percy’s ADHD refused to focus on English homework on the best of days, let alone when his very pretty girlfriend was leaning over his shoulder, trying to help him decipher his assigned reading.

This resulted in Percy very happily making out with his girlfriend, his English homework strewn about on the floor, long forgotten.

Annabeth tugged on his hair, pulling him back down to lock lips with her again. Percy complied, letting his lips meet hers. He let her take charge of the kiss as he threaded his hands through her curls.

She pulled away, grinning, before clamouring into his lap.

“You do realize there’s a perfectly good bed for you to sit on, right?” Percy asked, smiling.

“I’m sorry, are you complaining?” Annabeth questioned, raising an eyebrow.

“No, please continue,” he amended. Annabeth rolled her eyes, but complied, kissing him again.

Percy smiled into the kiss, before kissing her back. Grabbing at the hair on the nape of his neck, Annabeth pulled him even closer to her.

It was moments like this that Percy felt truly content. Annabeth’s lips moved from his further down, peckering kisses along his jawline.

Moving down further, her kisses spread to his neck. Settling on a spot near the base of his neck, she focused her kisses there, eliciting a sigh from Percy.

Pleased by his reaction, she sucked on the spot.

“Beth,” Percy groaned, nails digging into her back as she continued her fierce attack on Percy’s neck.

“You’re going to be the death of me,” Percy told her. She pulled away, laughing.

“Maybe,” she agreed with a smirk, kissing him on the lips before he could respond.

Percy let a hand slip under her shirt, fingertips grazing her skin, while his other came up to cup her face. Annabeth hummed happily, before deepening the kiss, her tongue exploring Percy’s mouth.

Percy then took control of the kiss, his tongue nudging hers as he entered her mouth. Annabeth gripped his hair tightly with one hand, the other moving downwards and underneath her shirt.

Annabeth pressed her fingers against the small of his back - which was still incredibly sensitive, despite the loss of the curse - drawing out an embarrassing whine from Percy.

He retreated back, feeling his face grow red. Annabeth let her fingers graze the spot again, and Percy barely suppressed another noise at the sensation.

“You’re cute when you’re flustered,” Annabeth said, tapping him on the nose. Percy responded with a pout.

Annabeth laughed, leaning in and pecking him on the lips, before giving his jaw more attention.

“Annabeth-” Percy whined as she pulled his hair to tilt his head back, giving her better access to his jawline.

It was just as Annabeth was sucking on another sensitive spot that Percy heard footsteps and chatter approaching the cabin.

“Annabeth,” he said, more insistently now, pulling away from her.

She shot him a look of confusion.

“Someone’s coming” he whispered, suddenly very aware of their compromising position - not to mention the rules about two people in a cabin together.

Annabeth’s eyes lit up with worry and she moved off his lap, seemingly realizing the same thing.

“Quick, hide under my bed before they see you!” she whispered urgently.

“What?”

“You heard me, get under the bed!” she insisted.

“Annabeth, there’s no way I can fit under there” Percy replied, feeling panicked.

“Well, do you have any better ideas?” she asked.

Percy didn’t, so he grudgingly got off the bed, eyeing the small space between it and the floor.

“You’re sure I can’t just sneak out the window?” he asked.

“No time, they’re coming” Annabeth replied, gesturing frantically.

They were - Percy could hear the voices growing louder.

Seeing no other option, Percy shimmed underneath the bed, as Annabeth adjusted the blankets so they hung over the bed frame to cover Percy.

Just in time too, as Percy heard the door open.

“Hey Malcolm, Theo, I thought you guys were teaching Greek?” Annabeth said, her voice a bit higher than usual.

“We finished early,” Malcolm replied.

“Oh, that's great… you know, it's uh, really nice weather out today, isn't it?” Annabeth said nervously.

“Yeah, I guess?” Theo said.

“Annabeth, are you feeling okay?” Malcolm asked, stepping closer to the bed.

“Yeah! I'm feeling great, why?” Annabeth practically shouted.

“You look a bit flushed that's all,” Malcolm replied.

“Maybe you need some fresh air,” Theo suggested.

“No, no I'm fine… really, I'm great,” she said hurriedly.

If there was enough space underneath the bed for Percy to move, he would've face-palmed.

“Annabeth, maybe you should lie down,” Malcolm suggested.

“You know you're right. I should lie down. And uh, maybe you should leave unless it's uh, contagious!” Annabeth said.

And Percy was a bad liar, he thought bitterly. He was totally going to call Annabeth out for being a hypocrite later.

“Are you sure? We can stay in case you need anything,” Theo said.

“No! I uh, I've got a migraine! So I need to lie down… alone!” she said frantically.

“If you say so, but if you need something…” Malcolm started.

“I'll call for you! You should go now!” Annabeth cut him off.

“Okay, we'll give you some space, I hope you feel better soon,” Theo told her.

“Bye!” Annabeth called.

Percy heard footsteps heading away, and the sound of the door closing behind them.

“Okay, they're gone now Percy,” Annabeth said. Percy slid out from under the bed.

Annabeth ran a hand through her hair, then offered Percy a hand, which he took, getting to his feet.

“That was close… we should really find a better spot to make out in,” Percy said.

Annabeth rolled her eyes. “We were supposed to be studying,” she said.

“You know as well as I do that I can't stay focused on school,” he replied.

“I guess so,” Annabeth smiled.

“Well… now that you've kicked everyone out of the cabin for the foreseeable future,” Percy said, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.

“No Percy, we just nearly got caught,” she laughed.

“But you went to all the trouble of making sure everyone stays clear,” he pouted, shooting her his baby-seal eyes.

Annabeth considered his words for a moment, biting her lip. Percy knew he'd won.

“Ugh, fine, you're impossible,” Annabeth said and pulled him into a kiss.

Percy happily reciprocated. Annabeth yanked him closer by his belt loops, causing Percy to stumble into her, his hands grabbing her waist to steady himself.

Their teeth clashed briefly, causing Annabeth to giggle as she kissed him fiercely. Percy let her, happy to just enjoy the kiss.

Growing impatient, Annabeth pushed him onto the bed, before climbing on top of him.

“You're bossy today,” Percy observed.

“Shut up seaweed brain,” Annabeth replied, insistently tugging the bottom of his shirt up.

He obliged, holding his arms up so Annabeth could take off his shirt. She trailed her hands down his chest, nails tracing the numerous scars scattered across it.

“Beth, stop teasing,” he groaned.

“Who's impatient now?” she teased. Percy responded with a kiss, tugging on her lower lip with his teeth, drawing a pretty noise out of Annabeth.

He turned her head to the side, trailing kisses across her jaw and moving down her neck.

It was then that Percy heard the door of the cabin open again.

Annabeth yelped, jumping off of him and pushing him forcefully.

Percy fell to the floor, landing painfully on the hardwood floors.

He looked up to find Will Solace frowning at them. Annabeth's face was tinted pink, her curls in disarray.

Percy was sure he looked even worse, shirtless and sprawled across the floor. He flushed bright red as Will looked at him disapprovingly.

“Why are you here,” Percy grumbled.

“Malcom told me Annabeth wasn't feeling well,” Will replied.

“I came to check in on Annabeth?” Percy tried. Annabeth threw her head in her hands.

“Sure you did,” Will deadpanned.

“I was making her feel better,” Percy said, smirking.

“Percy!” Annabeth shrieked. Percy was suddenly very glad she'd pushed him off the bed, considering if he was any closer, she probably would've slapped him.

“I hate you both,” Will sighed.

Percy gasped dramatically. “Will! How could you!” he cried.

Will rolled his eyes. “I should tell Chiron,” he said.

“You wouldn't!” Percy exclaimed.

“You better not,” Annabeth said.

“Snitches get stitches,” Percy added.

“Don't act like you and Nico don't do the same,” Annabeth remarked.

“At least we're smart enough to do it in Nico's cabin!” Will protested.

“The whole camp can see you glowing through the windows, you're not subtle!” Percy cried.

Will at least had the decency to flush a little at the comment.

“This isn't about that,” he muttered.

“Well I'm not sick, so you're going to leave now,” Annabeth said with a threatening tone.

“You saw nothing! I wasn't here!” Percy chimed in.

“I'm telling Nico about this,” Will replied.

“You're on thin ice, Solace,” he told him.

“Not a word to Chiron,” Annabeth warned.

“Okay! I'm leaving now!” Will said.

“Good, get out!” Percy said.

Will laughed as he exited the cabin.

Percy groaned as the door closed.

“We're studying in my cabin next time,” he told Annabeth.

“We'd probably still get interrupted, we have terrible luck,” she replied.

“You're probably right,” Percy shrugged.

“I'm always right,” Annabeth amended.

“Whatever you say, Wise Girl”

Annabeth threw his shirt at him. “Get out of here, I need to recover from the humiliation you put me through,” she told him.

“You’re the one that kissed me!” he protested.

“You started it,” she shot back.

Deciding this was a fight he wasn't going to win, Percy pulled his shirt over his head and got up.

Catching a glimpse of himself in the mirror, he flushed bright red as he noticed the various hickeys covering his neck and jaw.

“Annabeth!” He cried, turning around to glare at her.

“Hey, you weren't complaining,” she shrugged.

“Shut up, you're proud of yourself, aren't you,” he accused.

Annabeth smirked in response.

“I'm sure some of the Aphrodite girls will help you,” she said.

“Beth!” He whined, and Annabeth threw her head back in laughter.

“Bye Seaweed Brain!” she called, waving him out.

“I'll get my revenge,” Percy promised.

“I’m holding you to that,” she replied with a grin.

Percy shook his head, laughing as he left the cabin.
