Nick wasn’t supposed to be anything more than convenient, but something about those bright doe-eyes and that shy, awkward disposition made him want to keep coming back. Was it just the novelty he offered? Infatuation? Or maybe it was something deeper, something dangerous.
Without realizing it, Nick had become important in some way. He was a vice, an addiction, a weakness—and weaknesses needed to be destroyed.——
Originally started as a re-write of the canon through the eyes of Boston and Nick, but quickly diverges into the deeper psychology of anger, loss of identity, and the effects of trauma.
