Summary
She visits her parent’s graveyard in her simulations. The actual one dosen’t exist anymore. She lays another bundle of flowers, accompanying the previous ones she’s left over the years.
They died in their sleep, she tells herself. The remains of their bodies in their beds only showed evidence of that.
Their arms hovering near each other, like protecting from a larger threat, the sheer dilation of fear in their eyes, and the frozen tears hanging down their cheeks. The horrified and sickening grin on their faces. Yet, nothing at all to indicate death from killing intent. No blood, no scars, no stab wounds. Nothing. It was like the life had been strangled out of them, frozen in place like the looks on their places.
She should really let them go now. It’s a dead planet. She’s collected all species from that area. Vertias is examining them. There’s absolutely no need to keep the planet on the simulation.Except…
