Katsuki was exactly eight years old and a very moody child for an eight year old.
As his mother has said; "Stop it Katsuki! You're making me look like a fool being so rude and defiant! You damn brat!"
Katsuki huffed, throwing rocks into the pool of water. He rested his chin on top of his knees, picking up rock after rock and throwing it into the water, watching it splash.
"Kacchan! Where are you? I lost you- oh," Katsuki grumbled, burying his face deeper into his knees and wishing for everything to become right.
"Are you okay?" Katsuki glanced over to see Izuku taking a seat beside him. He shrugged and he continued to throw rocks into the water, trying his best to create a bigger splash.
"I don't like my momma." Katsuki admitted after a few long minutes. Izuku made a confused little sound before humming softly.
There was a short silence again.
"How come? She's so nice to me?" Katsuki grumbled louder this time. Hugging his legs closer to his body. Izuku made a small distressed sound before sitting closer to Katsuki and gently patting his shoe. The young green-haired boy had a great understanding of Katsuki's struggle with touch. And as he pat the blonds shoe, the grumbling turned into the short muttering words of, "She's only nice to you."
Izuku frowned, his little fat filled face making the expression chubby.
"She is...?" Katsuki gave a short nod and the two stayed silent for another while longer.
There was distant voices calling out their names.
"Izuku!! Baby it's time to go!"
"Katsuki you brat! Come back, let's go!!"
The two silently got up, and Izuku held Katsuki's hand and dragged the blond back to their designated picnic spot. The green-haired boy waved goodbye, seemingly forgetting about their short conversation.
Katsuki got home and remembered how his mom scolded him in the car for dragging Izuku away from the picnic spot.
'But it wasn't my fault...' Katsuki thought as he stared out the window and the passing scenery.
