Chapter Text
Kaveh sat in his chair, holding his coffee and barely hacking away at his computer. “Ugh.. If I can’t get something out, I’m probably not gonna be able to pay next month’s rent..” He struggled as he had no motivation whatsoever. Being a writer to pay the bills was sometimes fun, yet arduously difficult. He sipped his latte, and he desperately looked around. Nothing was just arousing the inspiration he needed. “Could I just write about some girl who wants to find a lover—“ He then reminded himself, “No.. That’s too rudimentary and not very appealing.. I need to make something more.. eye catching and—“
Then a man walked through the entrance of the coffee shop. He had sparkling emerald eyes, and beautiful tresses of grey hair. His flashy green highlight made him look even more beautiful. A rushing thought came to Kaveh’s mind, “Wow.. He’s.. absolutely stunning..” Kaveh felt his heartbeat increase a little faster, as he had never witnessed someone who looked so ravishing. He watched the man as he ordered his coffee, and eager to observe his every movement. His alluring voice was so enchanting to hear. “May I please order a macchiato latte.. grande please.. Thank you..” With his drink in hand, he then looked around for a seat, and he walked towards Kaveh.
The man looked to Kaveh with a gentle and welcoming smile, “May I sit here, please..?” Kaveh nearly choked on his words, “M-mhm.. Please do..” And so he didn’t know what to say or do, all he knew was that he was sitting with such an elegant and refined man. Kaveh wished that he could say even just a single word, yet he was too hesitant to say anything at all. He didn’t want to look bad in front of the guy. “Do you come here often..?” He said curiously. Kaveh replied, “Yeah I do.. It’s practically like a haven for me..” Then the man introduced himself and felt quite interested in Kaveh. “Well, it’s my first time here.. Oh— How impolite of me.. My name is Alhaitham, it’s a pleasure to meet you.. And what about you..?”
Kaveh felt his heart pounding a little bit faster. “Oh, don’t worry at all.. You can call me Kaveh.. It’s also a delight to meet you..” He paused and said Alhaitham’s name slowly. “.. Alhaitham..” Both of their eyes scintillated in marvel. Conversation went by smoothly, and every so often, they’d exchange countenances of warm fondness as such. Alhaitham wanted to know more about Kaveh, and yearned for it. “So, why do you come here often if I may ask..?” Kaveh was a little nervous to say much, but he told him anyway. “Well.. I’m a novelist for a living, and I’ve been doing stably.. But, it’s been a bit rigorous to find a new idea, or just motivation in general right now.. But this cafe helps me imagine some new or innovative concepts to write about, and I guess I find myself here quite often..”
Alhaitham was attentive to his every word, and appreciated his beautiful presence. He enjoyed to hear him talk about himself. “Hm.. It must be quite the endeavor, huh..? I’m not so knowledgeable in the field of writing, but I can tell it seems to be quite difficult.. Mind telling me about any ideas you have right now..? Maybe I can assist you..” Kaveh nodded, and then he found Alhaitham’s chair next to his. They were now sitting right next to each other. Kaveh blushed as his heart started to flutter already. “Wow..” was all he could think of as he admired his physique and personality. Alhaitham looked at Kaveh, and noticed his expression seemed a bit uneasy, and he asked in concern. “Are you alright, Kaveh..? Need anything..?”
Kaveh answered, and he clarified. “Oh, no.. I’m actually quite content with myself right now.. especially with a “friend” by my side..” His gentle smile induced feelings of love. Alhaitham appreciated his serene grace and manner. He thought to himself for a moment. “His smile is really quite cunning.. How cute..” Then he remembered the objective at hand. “Oh— right.. How about you tell me more about what concepts you’ve got so far..?” Then Kaveh told him everything his imagination had come up with.

Kaveh laughed softly, “Hahaha.. Wow.. You’re quite an exceptional guy to chat with..” Alhaitham had a light grin. “Thank you, Kaveh.. But you’re really the more avid talker.. It’s such a delight to have a chat with you..” Kaveh felt his hand in Alhaitham’s already. The two weren’t even aware that their hands were already interlocked together. Kaveh then realized the time. “Oh my..! It’s already been 4 hours.. I need to go home to feed my cat..” Alhaitham offered, “May I walk you home then, Kaveh..?” The offer was enticingly generous, and so Kaveh had accepted it. In fact, it was like their connection grew a little more every second. Maybe they were like kindred spirits already.
Once the two threw their coffee cups and got their belongings, they then headed toward Kaveh’s apartment. Alhaitham opened the door for Kaveh, and he only felt a little more flattered. Kaveh said to Alhaitham with genuine gratitude. “Thank you.. Alhaitham..” Alhaitham chuckled lightly. “It’s not much, Kaveh.. But you’re welcome..” The two walked down the boulevards as the sunset beamed down upon them. It was perfect, and almost like things were truly meant to be. Nothing felt like this, and both of them loved that feeling. It was immaculate and filled with feelings of satisfaction.

Kaveh found himself in his bed, leaning himself against his soft pillows. He was grateful for Alhaitham’s help earlier. He was already typing up solid progress on his computer. What fueled his imagination was his enchanting encounter with Alhaitham, and he figured maybe it could be a romantic love story. One that was based on his experiences. Sure it seemed a bit silly, and almost like a diary. But, maybe it was something beyond that. Kaveh laughed at some certain humorous dialogue in his first chapter that he already made. “Oh.. Haha.. He’s quite funny here..” He then drifted off into a deep thought. He was trying to come up with a title for his new book. It had to be something that would really capture the essence of the story itself. Then the perfect thought came to mind. “Hm.. You Bewitched Me.. Oh, wait.. I actually happen to like it.. It’s.. perfect..”
And so, Kaveh drifted off to sleep. It was already 3 am, and he’d need to catch sleep sooner if he wanted to meet up with Alhaitham again.. He remembered the promise of how they’d meet up at a park in some hours or so. The image of Alhaitham’s delicate face and his attractive personality truly captivated Kaveh. He was a true gentleman, and a man that has made him feel new feelings like never before. Kaveh loved that about him, and he said to himself almost as if Alhaitham was right next to him. “Good night.. Al..”
