Work Text:

The children of the vault were sitting in a round on the floor of the room.

Omega right there, smack in the middle of things. Instructing the other Force kids as best she could from the teachings of Gungi and Ventress forefront in her mind.

“Now open up your minds completely… find the creature inside there, in the Force…”

Omega had had an inspiration after all. Yet another modification to her ever changing escape plan now that Omega’s family was on their way to her rescue. Of this she was sure of.

The base under lockdown after the canons had fired with klaxons blasting all over the place. Most of the personnel having suddenly disappeared without further explanation as to what was going on.

“Make sure to tell it what to do, what it can do. What we except it to do.” Omega pressed on as this was risky, not wanting to hurt anyone who did not deserver it. The clones certainly did not on Omega’s opinion as they were all pawns in a the scheme of things.”Make sure that it only goes after Hemlock and…”

“Doctor Scalder.”

The kids certainly having no love lost for the imperial doctor, ready to throw her under the the shuttle or rather, in the jaws of the Zillo. Jax being the one voicing the suggestion.

Omega could not help but chuckle. It was evil, true. But yeah, paybacks and all that she guessed. The doctor having had the audacity to tell Sami that her hunger would pass or that Eva was complaining too much. Not to mention her treatment of Jax, clearly having something persona against the boy, as she also had against Omega, something she had sensed during their interactions.

“Well, perhaps not her, but you need to be clear that the Zillo does not harm any of the clones, the commandos, the shadows, all of them.” Omega could not have been more adamant in her orders, caring for her kin at this point more than any redshirt imperials happening to end up in the way of them and their freedom. “They are programmed to act like they do now.”

Of this Omega was sure of. Just like she had been with Crosshair all that time ago.

“Okay Omega, we’re in. Talking to the Beastie.” Eva informed Omega.

“Alright, now, guide me in there too, please.”

They did, using their combined Force powers to guide Omega in connection with the Zillo.

“Hello there!” Omega could see the Zillo in her mind’s eyes. “Remember me?”

Clearly the Zillo did.

They all chatted with the Beastie for a moment, convinced the creature understood what was expected for it to do. Hemlock being no stranger to the large size critter and like it was with the rest of them, it too did house animosity towards the base leader.

After some moments passed, the base having gone all quite, Omega happy with the agreement they had made with the Zillo, she instructed it to leave its confinement. Something of an easy job to do with the aid of the other kids.

And so, it was time for the next step, to up the ante of their escape plan.

“Release the Beast!”

The havoc started soon enough as they all could witness through the eyes of the Zillo, still in connection with the Beast while waking up from its Force slumber. Getting loose from the container it was kept in, attacking and then gobbling up its torturers without qualm. Those unfortunate TK Troopers right there near the Beastie’s pond. The one the Zillo had been kept inside of ever since the imperials having brought it to this prison of a base.

Emerie and Echo after having met up in the lab, made an agreement to get the children out rushed in to the vault. Finding the lot of them all alone there without any keepers.

“Took you long enough.” Omega smirked, seeing the expected duo at the door, having come to their rescue.

“You were, expecting us?” Echo sounded somewhat surprised, while hugging Omega.

“Yes, the Force told us.” It was simple as that, as now, Omega shared the connection with the other kids. “And we released the Zillo.”

“You wot?”

“Why?”

Echo and Emerie exclaimed.

“Don’t worry. It will only go after the imperial troopers and Hemlock.” Omega assured the two.

“You, know this how exactly?” Echo just had to ask.

“We, talked to it. It’s quite intelligent, actually.” Eva told the other two.

“Oh, well, then, what are you all waiting for! This is a jailbreak after all!” Echo laughed out loud.

“What of the other clones? The commandos and the assassin clones?” Omega did worry about them as much as she did for the prisoner clones. After all, it wasn’t their fault they were serving the Empire.

“Echo can help me deprogram the clones.” Emerie turned to Echo with an expectant look on her face. “Should be easy enough for the two of us.”

“Well, if you are sure they can be turned, to be released from whatever has a hold on them…” Echo was torn slightly, his priority still the clones imprisoned while the commandos and shadows had worked for the Empire. Then again, Echo was well aware of the CX program and that the clones were forced to the process. But also the fact that the Empire was able to reprogram the clones control chips, those still having them. Most likely all of them still did. “I am in.”

Emerie only nodded, glad to have the help.

“Well go after the clone prisoners.” Omega was already way ahead in the next part of the plan.

“You sure kid?”

“I am that, Echo.”

Omega saluted the Arc getting a soft smile from him, Echo trusting the Kid was more than capable to do this. After all, others were on their way and Omega did have help. The clearly powerful Force children.

“We’ll meet you back at the hangar bay then.” Echo told Omega. “The rest of the crew should be there soon enough. Rex is on his way with his troopers and ships as well.”

“Looks like we have our work cut out for us.”

“See you all soon. And good luck, to all of us!”

When the cavalry arrived, there were oodles of clones, prisoners, commandos, shadows, the lot of them on the platform among others wanting out. Droids, medical personnel, all turncoats having seen the light and willing to leave the chamber of horrors behind them.

But also among them was a very happy and purring Zillo beast. A few bones lying around it, the Zillo having been well fed for sure. Hemlock and his minions nowhere to be found.

“You sure it’s eaten enough?” Wrecker asked from Omega and the kids after seeing the giant Bestie being patted by them.

“It’s alright Wrecker, she is our friend now.” Eva told Wrecker, getting a lick from the Zillo on her hand.

“Well, if you’re sure…”

“We are.” The chorus stated. “She was just, misunderstood and mistreated is all.”

Trusting the kids could control the beast, they started loading everyone on board the ships.

“Make sure to plant those explosives so there’s nothing left behind of this place!” Rex then ordered, one final thing to take care of before taking off.
