Summary
There is no Lord Voldemort to haunt Harry's nightmares - but monsters, they say, not every time have the face of a snake and deep red eyes. Harry is only a child when he discovers he has to be more afraid of those around him than the darkness under the bed.
He knows his soul is hollow. He knows something deep isn't right. He can feel a piece of himself missing. For the longest time, he has thought himself broken beyond repair. Then one day, he finds a mirror. And everything changes.
This is a story of healing - and a story of falling. Of Severus being a decent human being and still failing, of Harry trying his best and still making mistakes. Of Tom Riddle, wanting and waiting. Of gazing into the abyss, and letting the abyss look back.
(Or: Harry discovers he finds Dark Lords in the making extremely attractive.)
