"Ooh, this looks cute!"
"It's interesting."
Suzu and Koharu were having a day out. It was the weekend and it was boring staying at home. Hisame was busy with other things, so the two of them were on their own for the day. They had ended up in the mall, looking through the stores.
Suzu had pulled off a dress from a rack and was holding it up to her body. Koharu was watching her, not having much to say.
"It looks too short though." Suzu said, putting it back on the rack. "Why do they make such short dresses anymore?"
"Who knows." Koharu shrugged. "Guess they sell well enough to be kept being made."
"Do you see any better dresses? I want to try one on." Suzu asked.
Koharu gave her another shrug and then went looking through the rack. Suzu watched over her shoulder.
"Something wrong?" Koharu asked.
"I... I always get nervous doing this..." Suzu mumbled. "What if... someone notices me?"
Koharu spared a look behind her. "I doubt anyone would be able to tell anything is different. Unless they know, they won't be able to see."
"I... I hope you're right."
"How did you survive shopping before?"
"I... Mahiru came with me a lot before. Or I'd just get my mom to order things online instead." Suzu replied. "Though... that was rough cause you never knew if things would fit properly."
Koharu pulled a longer dress of the rack. "How's this look?"
"Pretty."
"You want to try this one on?"
Suzu nodded. She took the dress from Koharu and made her way into the dressing room. Koharu waited outside. Suzu took a few minutes and then she finally exited.
"What do you think?" She asked, giving a little twirl to show off the dress more.
"It suits you." Koharu replied.
"You think so?"
"Do you like it?"
Suzu nodded. "Yeah. It fits pretty well."
"Let's get it and then go? It's almost time to meet up for lunch."
"Okay!"
Suzu went back into the dressing room and then returned with the dress neatly folded up again. The two of them headed to the registers and bought the dress and a few other accessories they had picked up along the way. Most of this was for a production they were putting on.
They checked out and then started walking toward the other end of the mall. Some of their friends were in the mall too and they had all agreed to meet up for some lunch toward the later part of the afternoon. It was starting to get close to that time.
"This was nice." Suzu said. "I... sorry I'm so anxious when shopping."
"I'm sure you have a reason to be."
"Yeah..."
"Just let me know if you ever need anything else. I don't mind coming along as long as you don't decide to choose a busy time of day." Koharu said.
Suzu smiled at her. "Thank you~ Next time we should make this a full-on date too."
Koharu stopped in her tracks at the suggestion, her face noticeably redder. Suzu smiled even more at the sight and pressed a kiss to her cheek.
"Come on, I'm hungry, Koharu!" Suzu grabbed her hand and started tugging her faster toward the restaurant.
"I'm coming! Slow down!"
