“Ready”
Robby was fighting Shawn Payne, who got out of prison that exact year and joined Cobra Kai, for the title of the Sekai Taikai male winner.
The score was 2-2.
The chances of robby winning were very low, but it was his last opportunity to prove himself, so he was fighting with everything he had in his soul.
The girls division has already been won by a girl of the cobra kai dojo, that neither tory and sam could’ve beat.
No, that wasn’t only robby’s only chance.
That was miyagi-do’s only chance to prove themselves to the world and stop cobra kai, a dojo that ruined pretty much all of their lives.
Everything was on him.
He turned around to look at his team.
His sensei, Daniel Larusso, nodded to reassure him that he could do it and so did Chozen.
His father and sensei, Johnny Lawrence, raised his hand in a fist.
He then turned his eyes to his friends, first of them was his step-brother Miguel Diaz, who was his enemy not even a year before.
Robby thought that he would’ve been a better fighter to fight Shawn in the finals.
Eli Moskowitz, who robby was now, after a year of rivalry, friend with him.
He had an horrible colour of hair now, but that wasn’t important.
Demetri Alexopoulos, the smartest person Robby has ever known.
Sam Larusso, his best friend, that gave him an house when he didn’t have one.
And last but not least important, Tory Nichols, his girlfriend and favorite person ever.
Last night, they had a talk in her room.
Tory lost the girls division, but all she cared about was robby.
She told him that he didn’t have to feel pressured for the fight with Shawn, because whatever happens, the important thing was that they arrived this far.
Robby didn’t think that tory could ever say something like that, so he didn’t had a reply ready.
He said that he couldn’t care less about that trophy.
All that matters to him was her and their team’s happiness.
“Well that trophy of plastic made like gold isn’t my priority” he has said.
“We should fight that fake trophy, not fight for it” tory said laughing”
He laughed too for how little sense that had.
“But who are we to fight the alchemy?” He laughed.
Now, when he had to fight for that trophy, he thought about that conversation.
It didn’t matter the win.
“And fight!”
As expected, Shawn stroke first, but robby blocked his kick.
Shawn could’ve hit him at least 10 times during that fight, but robby was way more skilled with defence, so he defended them all.
He mixed all the styles he had learnt during the year.
Cobra kai, miyagi-do and eagle-fang.
And..he scored the last point.
“Point! Winner!” Said the red, raising his hand to the sky.
He won.
Eli and Miguel were in a second round him shaking him and hugging him.
The self control was insane.
The ref gave him the trophy that he didn’t care about.
Then Eli and Miguel lifted him up ever their heads and he couldn’t stop laughing.
Everyone was cheering cause they said there was no chance trying to win that match.
But he did.
And he didn’t care.
“Hey keep this” robby said to Eli, giving him that alchemy of a trophy.
He had to do something more important.
He ran to get to her, ignoring his father when he wanted to compliment and hug him.
“Later” he said.
He didn’t care about the trophy, but only about her.
He just ran over to her.
Tory Nichols, the love of his life.
They hugged.
“You did it!” She said laughing.
He kissed her.
That was the only thing that mattered.
After doing that he went to apologise to Johnny for ignoring him, and they hugged too.
After the waters chilled, eli said loud so everyone of miyagi-do could hear him: “we need to celebrate!”
Robby rolled his eyes, but while doing that he saw something that made him uncomfortable.
He saw Kreese talking to Shawn, and it seemed like that wasn’t a good talk, but a reproach.
He had to stop it.
“Excuse me” he said to his team.
“Now my dojo is a disgrace” kreese was saying “and its all your fault!”
“Your dojo was a disgrace since the beginning” robby said approaching them “its not shawn’s fault”
Kreese was about to say something, but instead he just tilted his head and he left.
And nobody saw him ever again.
“Nice fight” robby then said to Shawn “and I’m sorry for everything that happened between us and Kenny. It was mostly my fault and I get your anger at me”
“It doesn’t matter anymore” Shawn said “I hope to see you again in the future, hopefully in good terms”
“Oh I hope that too” robby said smiling “now I have to go”
“See you around then!”
Then they hugged and the rivalry was over.
Robby went back to his team and decided that if they really had to celebrate, that should be a little party between them.
“Ok then, now let’s go back to the hotel” Daniel said.
The trophy was still in Eli’s hands, so he tried to gave it back to robby.
“Give it to one of your sensei’s, that’s mostly theirs” robby said, and Eli gave it to Daniel.
Robby hugged tory from behind and kissed her cheek.
He took her hand in his and they walked outside to the bus that would take them to the hotel.
They sat together in the bus, still hand in hand.
“You won everything now” tory said, putting he head on his left shoulder, a place that was reserved for her only.
“I won everything since I met you” he said and he kissed her head.
She smiled and hided her face, that was getting off the colour of wine, in his shoulder.
That made him smile even more.
“I love you” she whispered, with a very low voice which robby heard anyway.
“I love you too” he said.
And that was all that mattered.
They then found out that Eli, who was 2 places behind them, recorded it all and posted a story saying “ugh love🙄” and everyone went insane, but that’s another story.
