Summary
This is a fix-it fic, with the main objective being to make the show so much gayer than it was. How it should have been. With that said, Lee and Rose are *not* dead. In fact, Lee has fled east to reunite with Rose, but not before letting Lucy know that her mom is still alive, contrary to what her dad has told her.
Lucy and Cooper both follow after in search of the someone they love, after Cooper learns that his daughter might be living somewhere in the Commonwealth. Once they arrive, they are soon separated when Cooper heads out on a solo mission, and Lucy almost immediately meets a synth girl named Shauna, who turns out to be the leader of a band of rebel synth girls who end up drugging and mugging her.
Lucy is left in a compromised state—not a bottlecap to her name, reeling from the effects of the drug and sick with rad poisoning—and quickly finds herself at the end of her rope. Thankfully, a nosy reporter named Piper swoops in like the Silver Shroud to save the day. She knows how to help Lucy cure her addiction, but it involves meeting a fellow vault dweller who doesn’t seem to care for her very much.
Many side quests ensue, because of course “thou shalt get sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time!”
